"The mention renovation most likely were applied to the tower. They also have a lot of other buildings around, which is a completely different experience.

They have very few receptionists available for such a large complex. So line to check-in got our first attention. Second got an extremely unclean rug in the main hole. Third - our room was not in the tower, which was sold out, but in another building on a second floor with _no elevator_. Nobody asked us if we need help with luggage delivery to the room too.

The room inside was old, - not sure were the so much advertisement went to. Probably in the tower, which they can't keep staffed enough and clean enough.

Apparently they got Sea World perks and benefits, to which receptionist didn't inform us, so the next day when we found out about it by wandering around the lobby, all quick passes were given out already. The only one we got - was a 10% discount, which apparently works in only 1 shop in the Sea world, to which again nobody informed us.

Verdict: if you don't stay in a tower, and arrived by car - there plenty other better hotel options around."

"We stayed at the Doubletree. Enjoyed my stay. We arrived at 11;10am and the people at the front desk were very friendly and we got to go to our room right away .That made me very happy. The meals at the hotel were awesome and i played Mini Put and that was fun. We were so close to everything. The only thing i did not like was the I-trolly. Go out on a Saterday night and take the trolly man that was horrible. One time during the week we had to wait an hour in the hot sun, Bur over all everything was great. The beds were so comfy and the rooms were very clean. For my next vacation i will for sure go and stay at the Doubletree.Thanks to all the staff for making me feel at home P.S The cookies were awesome to
stayed from july 22 till july 29"

"This was one of the best hotel experiences I have had. From check in to check out, the staff was extraordinary. They were eager to assist you with any inquiry and to ensure you were satisfied. The room was beautiful, clean and strategically placed to all of the amenities the hotel had to offer. If we weren't swimming in one of the three pools, we were playing pool, ping pong, minature golf or just relaxing on the deck, watching the Olympics. We were right on the trolley line which took us back and forth to restaurants and to the movies; SeaWorld was a five minute shuttle ride (complients of the hotel) and we even got to view the Seaworld fireworks from our hotel balcony every night!

My only complaint was the bathroom. It was too small for our needs (toilet and shower stall only). I would get a hotel room with a bigger bathroom next time.

All in all, a wonderful hotel experience. I would recommend this hotel to all who desire affordability with a class act experience."

"MY FAMILY STAYED AT DOUBLETREE WHEN WE VISITED ORLANDO. i THOUGHT IS WAS JUST A NICE FANCY HOTEL BUT IT WASN'T.
THE FRONT DESK-PERSON GREETED US WITH A CHOCOLATE NUT COOKIE EACH, AND THE KEY TO OUR HOTEL ROOM.
IN THE HOTEL ROOM WE HAD A GREAT VIEW OF OUTSIDE.
THE BATHROOM WAS THE BEST PART!
IT HAD LITTLE SHAMPOOS, LOTIONS AND CONDITIONERS WITH A FACE BAR AND A BODY BAR-OOOH, FANCY!
THE TOWELS WERE IN DIFFERENT SIZES- FACE TOWEL(SMALL), TOWEL(MEDIUM), AND BEACH TOWEL (LARGE).
OUTSIDE THERE WERE MANY THINGS TO DO.
THERE WERE MANY RESTAURANTS, BUT MY FAVOURITE WAS THE BAMBOO GRILL(THE ONLY ONE WE WENT TO!).
THE POOL WAS AMAZING!
WE SPENT ALL OF ONE DAY IN IT!
IN THE MORNINGS, A LADY WOLUD HAVE A BREAKFAST CART DOWN IN THE LOBBY, WHO WOULD SELL DELICIOUS GRANOLA BARS, BREAKFAST SANDWICHES AND MORE!
WHEN WE WEREN'T IN A RUSH, WE WOULD GO TO A RESTAURANT CALLED THE VILLAGE IN, WHO SELLED AWESOME PIES!
THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY, AND THE PRICES WERE AFFORDABLE.
SOMETIMES, IF WE DIDN'T COME HOME LATE, WE WOULD GO TO FLIPPER'S PIZZARIA IN THE PLAZA NEARBY AND EAT PIZZA, ALFREDO, GARLIC BREAD AND LASAGNA. THEY HAD REALLY GOOD FOOD TOO.
I LOVE THIS HOTEL. IT HAS A NICE WET-WOOD SMELL IN THE LOBBY, AND THE SCENERY WAS BEAUTIFUL.

"The room was very nice and the staff were very courteous. My wife and I were extremely dissapointed with the supposed 'Resort View'. Our room looked onto the backside of a large hedge that was around the pool area. We had a view of bushes and nothing else. Also the schedule for the shuttle return from Seaworld had been changed and the new schedule didn't make it to all the right people. We had noticed a difference in the dates on the schudule and even asked about it, but were told they were correct. We had to walk back to the hotel at 9 pm. Fortunately it is not to long of a distance but at the end of a long day ay Sea world it wasn't exactly pleasant."

"It was for a 5 day, 6 night disney vacation. We had an early flight and arrived at the hotel around 11. We were greeted by the staff immediately who helped take our luggage from the cab which was awesome. After speaking to the woman at the front desk, who was also very friendly, assured us that they could hold our luggage until we returned. We were checked in and that it would not be a problem with our room, that it was reserved for us. We waited for the next shuttle which arrived shortly after and were even given water bottles to take with us to the park. nnWe thought this was going to be the best stay until we returned later that night to find out that the hotel did not give us the room that I had paid for. I reserved, and still had my confirmation that said that I had a king suite, but I was given a standard room. I called the front desk was transferred 3 times until I got a manager who then told me that I had to contact the agency directly. I spoke to a wonderful representative that placed me on hold to speak to the manager and after 25 minutes, we finally had the manager on the line who stated that it was someone in their reservations department that had made an error in the room type. I was told that there were no more king suites available and that a handicapped room was available. It was now about 12:30 AM and I was exhausted, so I agreed to the handicapped room even though it was not what I paid for. He assured me that it would be the same as a king suite, just bars in the shower and next to the toilet. The bellhop brought our key and we squished into a golf cart to get to our room. The bellhop left after telling us our room number 1505 and left, but the key didnt work. So it was now 1:00 AM and I'm calling the front desk again because we werent given an envelope with our room number and the keys didnt work. Then security came to ID us because it was now 1:20 AM and were standing outside of a room with luggage trying to get in. When we finally got into our room, it had a king bed, and a hospital bathroom. It was horrible. It was just white tiles, a high toilet, a dingy white curtain which separated the shower that just slightly dipped in the ground. I've worked in hospitals that the bathrooms looked exactly like that. Beth Israel bathrooms might actually be nicer. We didnt get our free cookie and we were not offered anything for inconveniencing us. NOTHING at all...and never got the room we originally booked. Upon checking out after I had mentioned to the manager the experience we had. The manager stated that since we booked through a third party, there was nothing he could've done about the situation. Even after I mentioned that it was the fault of the hotel. He looked like he just didnt want to hear at all about what I said and was just like 'oh ok well there were no charges to your room, have a good day' and then turned his backnnthe property itself is very beautiful and the pool was very relaxing with a bar and restaurants next to it...but management needs improvement on customer servicenn"
