"The location is excellent, you have almost every restaurant nearby! My first impression of this 'resort' it was more like a motel building. The lobby is not connected to the room building and the parking space is very limited. The beds are very noisy, bed springs are loud and you can hear the noise from other rooms, not even a motel has noisy beds!. The floor is dirty and the elevators are disgusting. Pool is huge and has a Jacuzzi too.
If you are going just for sleep it is a good hotel for the price but don't expect a resort at all. The hotel charges are $5 not $50."

"Location is about the only thing is good, my room had no privacy , had an open window with no shades or anything, i still cant believe they charged me parking fee, shuttle fee and room service fee upon check out, that is a shame, i had no parking assigned to me, if i have a parking fee is because i have my own car so why a fee for a shuttle that never used, room service??? never saw it....very shady stuff, never going back.
the price said $60 per night and with those shameful fees you end up paying like $80, NOT WORTHY AT ALL FOR $60 BUT EVEN LESS FOR $80, YOU GUYS ARE CRAZY IF YOU GO TO THIS PLACE
Response from Avanti Resort Management:
Fernando – I’m so sorry to hear your feedback on your recent stay with us. I’m concerned to read that your room didn’t have a shade. This is something that all of our rooms have as standard, so it’s strange that the one in your room was missing. I hope you had the opportunity to speak to the Front Desk about this so that they could address it. Our resort fee is $5 plus tax per night and includes parking, WiFi and shuttles to the theme parks. We choose to bundle everything in to one low fee rather than charging separately for everything. Many of our guests find that this is a better value for them. I do hope you will consider coming to stay with us again in the future."

"BEWARE....Even all the renovations cannot hide the dirtiness of this 'resort'. When we checked into our room we were right next to the generator and the stairs, the room was very dark but did not hide the dirty floors. Upon inspection we found the bathroom dirty and the SHEETS WERE NOT CHANGED! We requested a different room, upon inspection of this room we found toothpaste spit on mirrors, hair in bathroom and again DIRTY SHEETS! This place was more like a flop house. The reception staff was very courteous and said they would have the rooms cleaned but I just couldn't stay there after all that.
Response from Avanti Resort management:
Traveler – I’m disappointed to read of your experience with us. Our most basic responsibility is to provide you with a clean room, and it seems that we did not do this on this occasion. Admittedly we did have some challenges with housekeeping in the beginning, but we have recently overcome these and our guests are now having a much more positive experience. I hope you’ll come back and give us the opportunity to prove ourselves on a future visit. "

"When we booked this ' superior room' it was no different than a room at the econo lodge down the street. The only bright spot was the new pool area, but there was still construction in that area and they still charge for the resort fee even though it is not 100 % ready for use. With out having a rug on the floor I found myself constantly wiping my feet before I got into bed. The furnishings are nothing special. I don't know if the non promotional rates are worth a repeat stay there."

"Furnishings were modern which looked good. But the floors were not cleaned and the waste baskets were not emptied every day. Bed would make some metallic noise.
Response from Avanti Resort management:
Traveler – Thanks for the feedback! I’m glad you enjoyed our rooms with the new furniture! To clarify, our daily housekeeping is a light service during which the room attendant will replace towels, remove trash and make beds. However, we’re happy to provide additional services, such as floor cleaning, upon request. Our Front Desk is available 24 hours a day to assist with those requests. And, you’ll be happy to hear that we’ve found a solution for those noisy bedframes! Next time you come you’ll be able to enjoy a quiet night’s rest!"

" I would never go here again. The fake hardwood floors are nice but allow you to hear every single step taken above you. The bathroom is not very nice, they give you a sheet for the bed and sheets and towels had blood stains on them. The pool and beach area were nice and the location is good. I wish I had trusted the customers reviews
Response from Avanti Resort management:
Phil – Thanks for taking the time to submit a review. I’m sorry to hear that you aren’t thinking of returning. During the renovation, we did remove all carpeting from the rooms. It’s more hygienic for our guests with allergies. However, I understand that it may be frustrating if you have an ‘active’ family staying above you. With regards to the towels, I do hope that you had the opportunity to report this during your stay. This should not have happened, and please accept my sincere apologies for that. I hope you’ll reconsider and give us a second chance in the future."

"I read the reviews before i went on my stay at avanti and yes they had me a little nervous!! But after my stay im thinking there are a lot of whiners out there that you just cant please!! If you are going on vacation and planning on staying at the hotel the whole time and be pampered, this is not that place! Pay a lot more money and go there!! this place is worth the money they are charging and when the construction is finished and everything is done and they charge more im sure it will still be worth it!! I had absolutely no problems here! everything is as they said it was, there is construction! they were up front about that!! but i think they are doing a good job keeping it under wraps while other things are going on!! Not one time was i bothered by it!! I was in orlando to go to the theme parks and enjoy what orlando has to offer!! If you are vacation for the same thing, this hotel is in an excellent location for that!! the staff is excellent! very friendly people always willing to help you!! that is very important to me!! All in all i have no complaints!! I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the staff!! excellent job, keep up what your doing!! oh! by the way it is not $50 a night for resort fee! it is only $5.00 a night!! just another mistake by the whiners!!
Response from Avanti Resort management:
Mark – Thanks so much for the great feedback! It’s wonderful to hear that you felt you received good value at our resort. We have tried to be up front and honest about the small amount of work still going on, and you’re absolutely right – once it’s completed and our fitness center, game room and café open this summer, it’s going to be even better! Thanks for your kind words about our staff – I’ll be sure to pass that on. And you’re right about the resort fee – it’s a $5 per day charge which includes parking, WiFi and scheduled shuttles to the theme parks. We can’t wait to see you next time!

"I was quite surprised when we arrived at the Avanti. Its lobby was amazing, clean and appealing. Everyone was nice during checkin. We were not happy about the $50.00 incidental charges we were forced to pay per day. . We were put into building 3 on the 2nd floor of the hotel and it faces interstate 4. It is so noisy and the walls are paper thin and you can hear all the roaring from the traffic and everyone talking who is outside. The beds made a metal squealing noise every time we sat down. I am 115 lbs and this should not be happening. There is no blankets on the bed. I need comfort and these beds are not the greatest but better then some. The towels are not the greatest and could be better. The Avanti is supposed to be a resort. It's just an upgraded motel. I know it's new but it needs work still. Yes the pool is nice but cold and yes there is construction and that's ok. We are just really disappointed with this hotel. The double queen room is too small and the bathroom just doesn't make sense. Would we stay here again? Most definitely not. Would we recommend it? Definitely not. We are here currently and would rather leave and go stay somewhere else. We are waiting to hear back to the email we sent over to customer service at the hotel about whether or not we could be upgraded and moved away from the interstate. I would just rather get a full refund and go elsewhere. Do not stay here if you expect the amenities of a true resort or will be staying for more then a day."

"Remodeled. Looks like they are going with a contemorary feel. Just looks sparse. No carpet, so sound travels within the room, and from floor above. . Especially if people on floor above you are wearing heels. The beds have a metal frame around the bottom so they make noise when you get in and out of bed. The elevator was out when we were there. No coffee maker or amentities. Just an ice bucket. Too much competition in the area to pay that much and get so little."

"We were at the hotel the first week it opened... I believe that some of the issues we encountered were due to this fact and hopefully not the norm. By the end of our stay some things had improved. We got the hotel for a discounted price because they were still renovating and just opened (Thus take this review with a grain of salt)
My overall evaluation and recommendation is this: If you are looking for a cheap place to stay and aren't planning on being in the room a lot then it is a place I would recommend. Yes, I would consider returning to this hotel. However, it is not my favorite place I have ever stayed and more of a bare minimum hotel in my book.
The details of my review.....
1. I thought it was a great location - near food (from Tony Roma's to Cici's pizza), shopping, groceries (mini mart or walgreen varieties), mini golf, etc. What you couldn't walk to you would take an i-trolly up and down universal drive (for $1.50/person 12& under free).
2. The shuttles were adequate to the theme parks - the down side is they had specific departing times (3 times in the am, and 3 in the pm for Epcot/Disney & only 1 time for sea world) The good news about sea world is that the i-trolly takes you there so you can go anytime. The downside to Disney is that the latest time home is 10:30 - so if you want to watch the fireworks at magic kingdom you won't be able to. (we took a taxi home that night). If you need to bring kids back for naps and such this is NOT a good option. If you are able to be flexible it was really nice not to have to pay for parking and dealing with traffic. I would do the shuttles again - CHEAP and EASY.
3. The pool looked nice and warmed up over the week (when we first arrived it was COLD ~65 degrees, by the end of the week though it was warmer ~70 degrees) The hot tub temperature varied throughout the week and was small (7 person max). Kids loved the sand (but no volleyball net yet).
4. Rooms - we stayed in the basic double queen room. There were no extra's in this room (not even a coffee maker). One of the buildings (building 3) faced interstate 4 - we were on the side (building 2) and the noise from the highway did not bother us much (except a few loud motorcycles at 2 am and then police after that). The beds were adequate, but nothing great - a little on the firmer side. There was 1 chair in our room (I think the larger rooms have more seating). The furniture all looked new and was as seen in the photos on line.
5. My biggest complaint was the cleanliness of the room. When we first got there the floor was dirty - after my kids took off their socks and shoes and ran around for a while there feet were BLACK. I am wondering if they cleaned the floors after the new flooring went in? We asked to have the room mopped the next day and it was done - but this is not a normal part of housekeeping - neither is sweeping. You need to ask for this. 2 days out of 7 our room was not cleaned at all and we needed to ask for more toilet paper and towels. By the end of the week however, housekeeping was coming everyday. (hopefully it was just an error in communication that will be improving?)

"What a shame. Perfect location, but renovated 'on the cheap.' Several fresh coats of paint and Walmart furniture does not a resort make. The staff is nice, but the facility is really pathetic. Upon arrival to our rooms, the sheets had not been changed (probably for the last few guests) and there were pubic hairs on both beds! Disgusting! The floor also had several coats of dirt and grime. There really is no excuse for a 'new' place to be so dirty. I give this resort 2 years before mold, mildew, and dust take over unless they 'clean house' with their staff. Even if they hire competent housekeepers, the elements will probably doom this place. Don't let the 'new' fool you. . ."

"Me and my 2 yr. old grandson stayed at the Avanti resort four for nights while in Orlando. I booked the king suite and was not impressed. There were few amenities in the room. no fridge, microwave, coffee pot, hair dryer or phone book. The phone didn't work. The internet reception was poor and went in and out. housekeeping came only twice while i was there. Staying in a hotel with a small child is hard in the first place and having no way to keep and store milk or any other perishable food made this room tough.
My pool area outside was very nice for children and adults. Check in out was easy and it was close to everything in orlando."

"After reading previous reviews about the Avanti I was very nervous about staying here, but it was nearly as bad as what I had read or anticipated. Granted it is not a 5 star hotel, but your not paying the price for a 5 star hotel. The room was clean, the pool area was nice. It is a good value for a short trip."

"Avanti has potential for being a nice place to stay. A resort??? im not sure how they classify themselves as a resort. the basic room does not come with a microwave or refigerator, and there is NO common microwave available. The room did not even come with a coffee maker! NOw that was VERY strange to me, but then they did have a 'cafe' where you could of course buy some coffee. I am not quite sure why i paid 28 dollars in resort fees. I am very confused on why this is classified as a resort.
the day we arrived, the elevator broke in our building and was broke our entire visit.
The first day house keeping had come, and we returned to our room afte a very hot sweaty tiring day at the theme parks, all we wanted to do was shower and sleep. there were NO towels. The towels that were used the night before were taken and not replaced. When we spoke with the front desk they stated that they had ran out of linen. if you had ran out of linen why not just leave the towels from the night before? well, after 3 calls to the front desk they found some towels and someone brought them to our room.
The third night, my friend walked over to the bed and hit her toe on the metal bottom of the bed. she actually hit the corner which had a piece of metal sticking out, and it sliced her toe which caused it to bleed pretty well.
The handle on the wardrobe had already broken.
I didnt have to much of a problem with noise. I went during spring break so expected to have alot of young people out and being roudy. one time i stepped out and asked the young guys outside my window to keep it down since it was midnight and i had two children trying to sleep. they young guys were very polite and walked to another place in the building. My friend had a problem with the highway traffic. i didnt notice it though.
Upon checkout i was not even asked how our stay at the hotel was. There was noone behind me in line, so it wasnt like it was too busy to have the courtesy to find out how my stay was in your hotel.
I believe it could have the potential of being a very nice place to stay. I loved the contemporary feel of the room. If they placed a coffee maker, microwave and refridgerator in each room, it would have made the stay 10 times more comfortable.
You get what you pay for, and i got what i believed was a good price for the hotel....until i arrived. i believe that it is actually over prived for what it offers and i feel the resort fee is a joke.
i would not recommend this to anyone and i would not be staying there again, i hope you have a better experience."

"This Place was really gross, like a housing project. We chose it because the photo of the pool but never went out to it. Hundreds of screaming kids everywhere. They pay no attention to how many people check into a room, seems like every room in the place had six to eight people in it, two mothers with three of four kids each. We asked for a hairdryer at 5:30 pm for my wife before going out for the evening, my wife went out with wet hair BUT at midnight after we were in bed a loud pounding at the door and guess who, the guy with the hair dryer. Timing is everything. We ended up going to another hotel to use their facilities such as pool and common area. On the second evening there where so many people running around the balconies that the whole room seemed to shake, you could hear screaming and way past midnight and the staff and security did nothing about it....Stay away not worth the money. And who pounds on a door after Midnight to bring a hair dryer??? Really.... Room was dirty toilet seat was broken. Gross experience"
