This was our first trip to the Venice/Nokomis area and we are looking forward to the next visit - only if we can stay at A Beach Retreat. Our efficiency wasn't huge, but the walk in closet kept the suitcases and gear out of the way and the kitchenette had a full size refrigerator plus some counter space. And all we did was sleep, shower and dress in there. The front 'porch' has a large overhang to keep you out of the sun or rain. It was open to the three other units so you got to meet your n... Very nice place. Not overly fancy but it had "everything". Immediate access to the beach. Outdoor heated pool. We had our 3 kids (6 yrs,3 yrs,10 months). There are nice parks nearby. The kids dug the pool. If I were to go again I'd try to get a room on the beach side.

Well situated on a beautiful Key. Nice place, well maintained. The Mgt is very accommodating. The only reason I gave it an Average rating is the room size that we were in. However, the room was clean and nicely done. It would be hard to make changes to it's original 1950's or 60"s foot print. Over all this is a very nice old florida kind of place to stay. I'd go again.

Not a fancy place, but very comfortable and relaxing. Small in size so not overwhelmed with guests. Right on the beach and in walking distance to Pops Tiki Bar. Beach is not overcrowded unlike most of the resort type beaches in Florida. Very friendly staff. Would stay there again.

This complex is right beside the beach on one side of the road and beside the intercoastal waterway on the other side. We arrived after the office was closed and found a note with our unit and that the keys were inside the room "Call in tomorrow and sort out the paperwork the note said!!" Room 22 was only 50 yards from the beach. A stunning and pristine beach overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Each room is unique and personalised which is a lovely feature. All facilities need were on site. Coin ope... Read more
