Wonderful experience to bring ambiance of Florida's past with updated facilities on beautiful grounds. However, website needed to make it clear that ONLY the cottages were first floor rooms for folks who needed to be there. Room air conditioner so noisy, often interrupted sleep. Breakfast included in room rates would be greatly improved with something simple like scrambled eggs included.

We booked a room with 2 beds, but we got the room with one one bed. The front desk lady told us that's all they got, or we can choose not to stay there (it was midnight). Terrible services, and untidy room. Would not recommend at all.

We were meeting someone for a pontoon boat tour of 10,000 islands at the marina, so staying here made sense. Our room was near the pool with a queen bed. It was dark and had a very small lanai. The bedding was comfortable, but minimal. The restaurant was virtually empty, even though the hotel was full. Food was adequate...nothing special. The hotel is very nice, and the location is beautiful. The pool is great, very well kept. I was there for a wedding, which was very well done and a great venue. The room was a good, basic hotel room with two beds, fridge, coffeemaker, and comfortable beds. The staff was friendly, but there is no 24-hour desk, so you might not be able to find someone. Access to the water is easy and convenient if you are getting on a boat.

This is not a motel to visit while on the way to see the everglades. We arrived at 8:30. Pm. The desk closed at 8:00 pm. No one at the front desk. Followed instructions to get keys from the lock box. Room on the second floor. No bell boy. No elevator. Can't do steps. Called the 'emergency' phone. 10 min later, a kind, 'on call' employee arrived and switched our room. The 3 nearest outside lights were not working. Had to point the car headlights to find the door of the lanai. It was a lot of tim... Read more
