This is our second time staying at the resort. I love the "suites" along the pool area. They have a kitchenette and have a homey feel. The grounds are stunning. It's so nice to wake up to birds singing and flowers blooming when it's grey back home. POI is a nature lovers paradise! Saw fish, osprey, manatees, dolphins, alligators and many birds. Fishing with a guide is a terrific excursion. The restaurant will even cook the catch of the day and it was delicious.

5 of us stayed for 3 nights at Port '0 Islands and had a great time. The place is in a beautiful spot in the Faka Union Canal. Abundant wildlife and good fishing. The hotel staff was great-special thanks to Maureen. The restaurant(Anglers Cove) prepared our fresh fish 3 different ways and it was really delicious. We'll be back

We recently were booked to stay here two nights but enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night. It has a beautiful entranceway, very nice heated outside pool, good but minimal breakfast and very clean. The marina is very nice and we enjoyed walking around the grounds and availed ourselves to the nearby adventures of air boats, swamp buggies and alligator shows. We also spent a wonderful day and evening in nearby Marco Island. Great time.

Family business brought us to Naples and the Port of the Islands. On checking in on the 19th we carried our luggage up to the second floor of Building F. There were no elevators. We were given three keys after trying all three several times, none of them would open the door. I walked back to the office to make sure I had the correct room; which I did. The clerk at the desk gave me apprx. 5 more keys. I walked back to our room and tried all of the keys. None of them worked. I then called t... Read more

This is a nice hotel. It has a very nice lobby area where you can relax as a group and talk. The bar/restaurant was busy. The pool area looked nice, and the surrounding area is nice. The rooms are adequate, just a typical room to sleep. A little overpriced for what you get.

We had booked a two beds room, when we arrive they gave us our keys. We checked in in the room and saw there was only one bed. We went back to the reception and asked to change room, but the lady told us it was the last room so we had to stay in it. We didn't even had appologies or get proposed another bed... Our son had to sleep with us. We are a litlle bit disappointed in how the issue was handled We will not go back in this hotel

My wife and I stayed at this property from 12/20/16 to 12/23/15. The location is awesome right on a canal with a marina. You can fish in the canal where there were were quite a few fish and a few gators. It is adjacent to Everglades National Park and pretty secluded. The room we were assigned overlooked the canal and had a wrap around porch which we enjoyed. The problem we had was that our key cards consistently failed to unlock our room. Each time, we had to get them reprogrammed or get new one... Read more

Port of the Island Resort is located about 15 miles away from civilization towards the Everglades. A great place to stay if you are going to Big Cypress and/or the Everglades. The beds were comfortable, it has a beautiful pool, and a lovely location. The staff was friendly. A great place to "Get Away". They had a nice breakfast bar, but for me, too many carbs. I think it would be better if they had scrambled eggs, biscuits and sausage, gravy (Something hot). There are no soda or snack machine... Read more

We didn't expect to be assigned a newly renovated unit just outside the main building where units around the pool have screened porches and are mostly owner occupied. The moment we opened the arch designed doorway we noticed the room is immaculately clean, walls are painted white, all furnitures and appliances are brand new, even the ironing board still has its cover. The bed is high and firm for our sleep comfort, 47-in (I think) LED TV, full-size ref, 2-burner electric stove, flooring is of la... Read more
