I don't think you can find a better position in Miami Downtown. The hotel is facing Bayside, with restaurants and enterteinments, and is out of the area which is totally closed and dangerous at nigtht.

The hotel and room was okay and I have stayed here many times in the past. This time, at checkout I was asked to pay a resort tax kind of payment of $68 - they said it was for amenities like wifi, water bottles in the room etc. I mentioned that I was not told of this at arrival and the paper that I was given with these amenities mentioned was silent on payment. They then pointed to a fine print in my booking and fair enough, it was there but the number mentioned that $51 (the clerk insisted on c... Read more

Me, my husband and two friends spent three nights at the Yve before driving to Orlando. We arrived in the evening (minus any luggage (that's another story thanks to useless aer lingus) and checked I easily and without any hassle. The hotel was clean and modern...I loved that! The tavern downstairs in the lobby was amazing too! The front desk staff the checked our group in didn't give our group information that was needed to each room that checked in but between our many rooms we booked we could share information and got it all together. The group reservation staff were horrible for communication and when I got to the hotel there were unexpected charges that were expensive. When I spoke to the manager, she wasn't very fri... We stayed at Yve for a wedding on the island over the weekend. Coming from Orlando we have had family and ourselves stay at some nice hotels with 4-5 stars. This was amazingly a different experience. First thing was the customer service. Fabian, an employee at YVE, was absolutely the best. We were not used to curb service like this. His customer service skills and attention to detail was telling of how the front staff and the valets treat a customer in a manner fitting more upscale clientele. By... Read more

Awesome location if attending events at the arenas. The staff at the front desk were more than helpful when asking for places to eat or about bars and clubs in the area. The only problem we had with the room was that the bathroom was EXTREMELY small. The Biscayne Tavern in the lobby...AVOID AT ALL COSTS! The first time my friend and I went to it we were ignored by the staff and ended up walking out. Yes it was crowded but that is not an excuse. The second time we went there it took a bit to get ... When we arrived to the YVE, we were greeted by 2 very helpful valet attendants. They gave us detailed information about how to retrieve our car from the valet service. When we went to check-in, it was busy, but we only had to wait approx 5-10 minutes to get checked in. The rep at the front desk was very helpful with general info (what was nearby, services at the hotel, etc.). Our room was nice but nothing special. Yes, the bathrooms are REALLY small. This hotel is centrally located in Miami near the port, airport, arena, Biscayne Bay and more. The MetroMover is a block away and takes you throughout the downtown area and connects to the MetroRail. The hotel was clean, with fast service at check-in and checkout. Room provided all of the essentials without any wasted space. Room was quiet and comfortable. Great location at a great price!

Love the location as we stayed there one night for a concert at the Bayfront Amphitheater across the street and the valet service is wonderful. The room, however, was very small despite it's chic and modern atmosphere. While we adjusted to the unexpected size of then room, we were shocked to then find the smallest bathroom we've ever seen. It's barely possible to even turn around in there. If that's what we get for a one night stay then I'll check out other hotels the next time we're in town.

Breakfast buffet is $20 pp but they also have an ala carte menu. Taxi from airport was $32. Uber to port for cruise was $7. The hotel was great and has a phenomenal location. I would give everything 5 stars except that my colleague and I waited 90 mins from start to finish for 2 chicken sandwiches at lunch in the tavern. It took about 45mins from the time we ordered and then another 25mins waiting for the bill. The sandwich tasted great, the wait was just way to long for something fairly simple to make. Great hotel.

I stayed for business. Only 2 outlets worked, neither were in the bathroom. I also, inadvertently paid $26 for "breakfast" which was your standard, unappetizing buffet, but there was no where else around to get food before my meetings. The atmosphere was nice and very Miami but they charge a daily amenity fee so you might as well pay a little extra to stay somewhere else.

Though the room was off the mark for amenities, it had a fantastic view of Bayview Park and far beyond. The carpets needed some loving care.
