"We stayed at the Sanctuary from Wednesday April 3 to Saturday April 6th. Overall we would say the hotel was about a 3.5. Here is how we would break things down:

Location: 5 Unless you want to be directly on the beach this is as good a location as any. The hotel is one block from the shops on Lincoln road and just three short blocks from the closest entrance to the beach (15th and ocean). It's tucked away on James so the noise from the beach and street does not overpower you, which I think can be a great plus.

Hotel Staff: 5 The hotel staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Special thanks to Sara and Jose Luis. Sara had awesome recommendations from the moment we walked in the door and when we requested more face towels Jose Louis did everything he could to try to meet our request. They really helped make the trip moe enjoyable for us.

Cleanliness: 3 Overall the rooms are cleaned and well-equipped. They don't have many face towels so pack your own! The cleaning staff cleaned our room but there was only one small trash can (by the bathroom sink) and they neglected to take it out. They have drinks in the fridge which you can purchase for $3 (totally not worth it) and we noticed that some of the ones in our fridge were expired so be careful.

The second night we stayed there was a lot of rain and ultimately we had a leak in our room. The staff wasted no time preparing another room so we could move. Four pairs of my shoes got soaked and they did at least hand me a blow dryer to try to dry them out. The following night the new room we moved to also had a leak. This one went from the bathroom to the front door but as we were awake we were able to move our items in time.

Value: The photos of the place can be a little deceiving. The rooms are furnished with ne modern furniture but the rooftop bar is only 2 feet deep and 6 feet across. You do have access to the sister pool at a neighboring hotel.

The continental breakfast is not very good. They has the standard mufficns, croissants, and cereal. The first morning we went down and they had waffles. However they were frozen waffles and fell apart as soon as you tried to put them in the toaster. From then on we settled form breakfast on the beach,

The restaurant is supposed to be very good but we did not have the chance to eat there. However, it did attract a large crowd so it is on my list of things to do when I return."
