Nice location and very courteous staff. The rooms are dark and dreary, with a minimum of lighting, even on a sunny day with the drapes open. We had a 2 bedroom. One of those bedrooms had no connection with the HVAC system, so it was hot and stuffy. Every Marriott I go to has the most uncomfortable furniture imaginable. They must contract for it to cut corners. The free breakfast is worth exactly that.

We needed to say ground floor/handicapped for recovery for one family member after surgery. The staff were wonderful. They don't whisk breakfast away the second the clock turns. The courtyard is charming. Barbecue any time. Full kitchen, little pool, but water great. Mainly, just so laid back and easy! We live in Miami--but we'll go back and send anyone there!

I stayed there using my free Marriot night... the hotel location is OK compared to coconut grove shopping and restaurants area... short nice walk.. The rooms are OK.. as the air-condition was loud... The breakfast was OK for free breakfast.. no complains.... its really a family with kids hotel ... not for business trip stay..

Convenient to Coconut Grove shopping and restaurants, as well as Bayshore eateries. Found staff very helpful, room ( studio w/ 2 queen beds, kitchen) spotless, and very good breakfast included. A definite " WILL RETURN".

We visited this hotel during the Miami Open Tennis, and were pleasantly surprised. The exterior of the hotel is average, but the interior is clean, comfortable, and has relatively new (and modern) low-profile furniture. We stayed in the two bedroom, and were quite comfortable. The desk staff is extremely helpful, bi-lingual, and friendly. We were so glad we chose to stay in Coconut Grove, because we were able to walk the beautiful tree-lined neighborhood, and took a 10 minute walk to resta... Read more

Near the beach, and coco walk :), restaurants bars etc. Definitely recommend it. Service was awesome. The only thumbs down was smoking is allowed in pool area :( nice entrance, Breakfast is at convenient times even on weekends, There is also vending machines by entrance and a convenience store by lobby. The gym is small but opened 24hrs. Very nice place with all that you need.

Located near Coco Walk and several eating places, this hotel is simple, unassuming but provides good value. Staff was friendly and helpful; inclusive breakfast buffet was varied enough and plentiful, coveniently starting as early as 6.30 on weekdays. I had a King bed studio on the 3rd floor above the lobby. Very quiet, clean and well appointed. Full size fridge and stove, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker. Linens smelled fresh without having any lingering scent of laundry products. Becaus... Read more

A great hotel right outside of the hustle and bustle of Miami in the beautiful Coconut Grove neighborhood near Vizcaya Gardens. Close to interstate and all tourist spots. Stayed here for a wedding close by. Check in was a breeze as we arrived late in the evening. Secure parking and received a welcome basket in our room for being Marriott reward members! Room was modern and comfy with balcony. Would highly recommend!

When Marriott looks to brand standards, this is what they look for. This hotel is clean, efficient, and - best of all - Hospitable! The people who work here are actually friendly! We only stayed one night at this lovely extended stay hotel, but we were greeted with a smile and an attitude that made us feel like we were their most important long-term guests. The lobby is comfortably urban. The room was just as spacious, functional, and clean as you could hope it would be - great A/C. Both bedroom... Read more

Out of the four hotels we've stayed in in the last week, due to business, this by far was the best. The staff was courtroom and helpful, especially Yvonne at the front desk; the breakfast had fresh berries, melon, GLUTEN FREE breads and bagels, better than any FREE breakfast I've ever had at a hotel; and the fitness center was clean, nice and the equipment worked great. I think this hotel is the best value in coconut grove!

First of all, the place was probably built in the 1960s and is outdated. Upon check in, I was told that there was a $20 fee to park- a ripoff. As I had been outside all day in 100 degree heat, I anxiously went to the pool, only to find it fully drained. I called the front desk and requested a wake up call for the next morning. The call never came, but I fortunately woke up anyway and did not miss my meeting. All night, I kept waking up when the AC came on as it sounded like we were in a hur... Read more

This hotel is located is one of the best spots of Miami if you are not looking busy Miami Beach. Coconut Grove is near to main attractions in city and of course beach. Only con is that you need wheels to move somewhere, take care to rent a car if you are going to travel here. Hotel is clean, staff is polite and helpful and breakfast is a great plus. Rooms are huge with half/full kitchen, big refrigerator and microwave. It is perfect to carry your own food or take something from all restaurants ... Read more

The front desk staff here was great. Cynthia and Denny made sure we got the best rates even after we reserved. We were allowed a room upgrade for no extra charge for 4 nights. This hotel has old Miami character and is not new construction so don't expect everything to be modern. However the room we had was clean and was fairly remodeled. The free breakfast was descent. The only issue was the eggs seemed processed like egg beaters or powdered. The pools were small and not much of an attract... Read more

I contacted Management and higher ups to give me a full refund or at least half a refund. They did nothing, not even courteous from some people there. They said, sorry we can not do anything which is nonsense. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and Chamber of Commerce. Here is my original review: I recently came into Florida from NYC for a wedding and business . I stayed here from 4/13/16 until 4/18/16. I felt robbed $960 and I could not even work. My room was directly above... Read more

We check in too early and worry that they are not have the room for us but David at the front desk was so understanding and helpful that we have the room right away. The small kitchen has everything that you ever needed to cook . We love the big refrigerator to store my fruits that I bought at farmer markets. Great breakfast food, the staffs are so helpful and pleasant especially David. Thank you for a great stay.

Great hotel in a really nice location! Loved our 2 bedroom suite - it was modern and clean. Free breakfast had excellent selections. Especially liked social hour on Monday and Tuesday evenings which included free drinks and appetizer snacks. Lots of restaurants within walking distance in a cute neighborhood. I didn't like that parking was at additional cost but other than that would definitely recommend staying here.

This property is in a great location, we love Coconut Grove. Their parking fee is $20 and they don't tell you there is also a $4.40 per day "parking tax" which I had never heard of before receiving our bill. So, parking is really almost $25 per day and the parking area is very tight. If you come in late and all of the spots are taken near your building, you have to drive around back and it is very isolated, I wouldn't have felt safe without my husband with us even though it is fenced. Have to rate this hotel well below average, especially for Marriott Brand. Spent two nights, using our free yearly Marriott award night, and Marriott points. Hotel is older and shows lots of wear. Yes most Residence Inns are Extended Stay Hotels. But this not a cat. 5 Rewards hotel! Our room was not ready at check in time. So they upgraded us to a one bedroom suite, with full kitchen. We did not use the kitchen, but was nice to have the extra room. The room had an outside entrance wh... Read more

I came to this Residence Inn to escape Hurricane Matthew. I was dog sitting for my neighbor who was called in to our Sheriff's Dept. I called and spoke to Eddie the night before, well more like 1am. He was very helpful, answered my questions and set me up for the next day. On arrival, as the storm was threatening, they had a full staff; at least 4-5 behind the counter, one gent I saw prep'ing a generator and, when I called to say the toilet seat was loose... there was a maintenance man at my roo... The Residence Inn in Coconut Grove is in an excellent location. The neighbourhood (Coconut Grove) is quirky and fun, the hotel is in a quiet spot (so no disturbed sleep!) but within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops. The room is large and the kitchen is well equipped. Should you be inclined to cook yourself a simple dinner, then this is certainly possible. There's a large fridge and you can use a shopping service (hand over your wish list before 8AM, however!). The staff are friend... Read more

Renovated property. Long term stay would be the best value since you have a full kitchen. Internet fast, big flat screen, free breakfast best I have seen with fresh fruit, Greek Yogurt, honey, Nutella, fresh scrambled eggs, a few blocks from restaurants and shops and a $5 Uber to Merrick Park2 block walk to the water.

This Residence Inn was really nothing special. I hated the way the parking was setup (garage beneath hotel), and my room was directly next to the elevator. The room # was a little misleading as well and was difficult to find in relation to where parking was located. The room was okay, but not my favorite Residence Inn. The balcony overlooked the rest of the hallways and the pool, not private like I imagined. The hotel is fairly close to restaurant options but I feel there are better Residence... Read more

I was in this hotel for almost one month with my wife and daughter when we relocated to Miami and we had an amazing experience. The staff are super friendly, everything we requested was met above and beyond our expectations. I will make sure to recommend this hotel to all friends that visit or colleagues that travel for business. Great work to all the team at Tigertail, keep... Read more

We stayed at this hotel which I believe was a converted apartment building. Bed was extremely firm, no toilet seat lid-which I thought was strange. It had a small kitchen, large sitting room, open closet in bedroom with great amenities (hair dryer, iron and ironing board, etc). The people there gave great. Customer service and we're really great to deal with. Parking in an under the building garage. We had an RV and they accommodated us on ground level. The stay was pleasant. They also have a po... I was staying there for a couple of nights over the weekend. I was on the third floor and in a room at the front of the hotel so there was some noise from the road. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable but the AC was very noisy at night....Jet lag and ear plugs helped! I brought a bike with me and they were happy for me keeping it in my room. The breakfast has plenty of choice but I'm not a fan of disposable plates and cutlery. It's literally a five minute walk from the main street whe... Read more
