"My girlfriend and I spent 4 nights here mid Feb 2009, and got a pretty good rate two weeks ahead. Although our flight was delayed, there was no confusion about late check-in or rate, and the multi-lingual staff was quite friendly and obliging, except they dropped our room wake-up call early morning we departed. No surprise charges (except ALL phone calls .75, even to 800 numbers.)''Room was spartan but very clean, good housekeeping. We had a mini-fridge and two-burner stovetop, made hot milk for our coffee each morning. Very clean bathroom with tremendous shower, tons of hot water, pressure. Free towels for the beach 300 ft away, but had to rent $20 umbrella from beach concession for shade. No pool, but if you swim in ocean this is the place.''Only drawback is often evenings extremely noisy from other guests. Room doors not soundproof, no carpeting anywhere in hotel, so there was a lot of yelling and loud conversations from drunken partying kids, and even housekeepers in the morning. Staff no help for this. If you're deaf, party hearty yourself or just don't care, recommend. If you need peace overnight, I would budget a bit more for another place with carpeting and stricter house rules. ''This place needs soundproof doors, then it would be perfect. --Skip 2/28/09''"
