The people at the Tides are phenomenal - really friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and clean (and a little noisy). Parking is a a problem - even with valet as this part of Ocean Drive is always teeming. Included in the rate are two sunbeds and an umbrella on the beach - but there's no hotel service on the beach. The downside is that the hotel is very tired - authentic - but a little tired nonetheless. If you want to just stay in the middle of SoBe, the location is great - if you want ... Read more

From the moment we checked in at The Tides with Nori, we were welcomed by such a warm and professional staff. This hotel is lovely, the rooms are quite large, with a super comfy bed. Having breakfast on the terrace overlooking Ocean Drive was lovely, drinks at the bar with Christian mixing great cocktails was super relaxing. This hotel is an oasis from the craziness of South Beach, but unfortunately the bar next door is very loud.

The hotel is perfectly located on South Beach with fantastic views of the ocean. The rooms are large and spacious with plenty of natural sunlight. The staff were all fantastic (especially Lenin. G'day Lenin from Mike & Nat from Perth. We hope you enjoyed your holiday and the champagne!!) and extremely helpful. We would stay at the Tides again

No hesitation, when planning to spend some days in the heart of South Beach, just on Ocean Drive, close to the restaurants, bars, nightlife and the beach, The Tides hotel is without any doubt the best choice for all reasons. All rooms are facing the sea, so no bad surprise when booking, on the contrary of other hotels showing on their website rooms with a view while when you get to yours you realize that the windows are facing a wall 1.5 meters awayâ?¦ same thing for the surface, these rooms are... My friend and her husband always stay at The Tides when they visit FL & I trusted her (their) opinion since they have great taste but are reasonable with prices. Service at The Tides was impeccable - every single person was friendly, warm, welcoming and sincere (front desk, valet, servers, restaurant hostess, cleaning crew) - the hotel must be very well-managed. The room was huge and beautifully appointed. The bed was super comfortable. The windows must be thick/soundproof because we were ove... Read more

Friendly staff. Great location. Clean rooms and beautiful view!! I only had breakfast there and it was pretty tasty. They have chairs and towels for hotel guests. It's better if you valet your car and walk everywhere, or you can use one of the parking garages.

Beautiful! I would stay again. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were given a complimentary drink upon our stay. Anytime we needed something, the staff responded promptly. The location was great and the view was breath taking.

The Tides South Beach has great potential to become the premier boutique hotel along Ocean Drive that it once was. The location can't be beat! All rooms have direct ocean views!! I highly recommend asking for a corner room. The hotel staff are great; sincere, friendly and accommodating. In my opinion here's what needs improvement. The food is beyond mediocre. We only ate breakfast at the hotel as it was included in our package. I had a better quality breakfast on my American Airlines flight to... Read more

The rooms are very spacious with a separate small changing room and a large bathroom. All nice marble flooring. All ver clean. Big window with ocean view. Right on the Ocean Drive, restaurants and bars just at the doorstep. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I cannot say anything about the food as we didn't have food at the hotel. Breakfast is not included but there is the option to have breakfast of the menu on the terrace. The hotel is right by the beach and offers two loungers, towels and pa... Read more

We stopped in for dinner and watched the 2016 NBA playoff game....the Resturant is located in the hotel lobby...the decor was fabulous. The food was great. The BBQ rib dinner was delicious, so tender the meat fell off the bones. Next time were are in Miami, we will stay at the hotel AND have dinner.

Even if The Tides was situated in the middle of nowhere, it would have been the best get-away experience we've had in years. The professional service, spacious room, unbelievable view of the ocean, outside dining, breathtaking lobby, and secluded pool area were all absolutely perfect. But the fact that this amazing property is located right in the midst of the most exciting and beautiful tourist area on the entire East Coast, we were totally thrilled with our choice to stay here. Yes, at night t... Read more

Great service and really nice outside dining. Most restaurants on the strip in South Beach are right on the sidewalk where people are walking next to your table but this restaurant had seating that was away from the crowd. It was set far enough back that you could enjoy your meal in peace. I had the Cuban Sandwich and it was delicious! Definitely recommend if your in South Beach.

Beautiful Art Deco hotel with lots of history. All suite, all rooms are ocean view. However it is next door to an open air nightclub so be prepared. Great location if you are interested in the bar/nightclub scene. It is South Beach after all.

We came here on 4th of July at the evening and at the same time of the fireworks. Even though Ocean Drive was packed with people and cars, the valet of the hotel took our car right away and out luggage was brought to our room in 5 minutes. That was amazing. We stayed at a corner junior suite and the views were perfect. There is a bar next to the hotel and it was really loud with music, but this is South Beach, isn't it? The breakfast is really good, but there is no open buffet. Other than that i... Read more

I have been inside this hotel lobby and on the patio for drinks many times in the past but this was my first stay there. Overall, it is a gorgeous building and the renovations/updating are in keeping with an Art Deco aesthetic. The views from the room are superb - directly over Ocean Drive and the beach beyond. (I had a room on the 8th floor - request and/or pay for a higher floor room as it's worth it.) The Tides is hitting on most cylinders...the lobby breakfast and service each morning w... Read more

Only stayed one night at The Tides to meet a cousin and I have to say the stand-out was the front desk customer service. Both ladies on duty were terrific-- cheerful, helpful, above-and-beyond accommodating. The valet parking attendant was also exceptional. The hotel itself was very nice, although the construction directly behind could be intrusive, especially on the pool deck. Ocean Drive in South Beach is definitely an acquired taste and it was a long walk to the water for us seniors, even... Read more

My husband and I spent one night here 4th of July weekend.... The hotel was wonderful, as was the location, every room has an ocean view! We were on the seventh floor in a corner room, yes, it was a bit louder than we would have liked with the open bar club right below, but tolerable for sure. I learned that I'm not a south beach girl, but that has NOTHING to do with the Tides South Beach!

This hotel is strategically located in the heart of South Beach in walking distance to most amenities around. It has a wonderful ocean view with spacious and clean accommodation. The suite is large enough to enjoy a quite time in front of a large screen TV. The bathroom offers a shower, bathtub with adequate toiletries and towels. Front desk staff are very cordial and accommodating. The hotel offers you one free welcome drink of "sunrise cocktail" in the lobby bar.

The Tides was a very beautiful hotel and the room was so nice! The women in the reception were very sweet and the cleaning ladies were also very good! BUT.. The men working in the bar were STUPID! They didn't understand a thing, you had to say the same thing a hundred times!! They spoke very unclear english, one of them were very arrogant and they shouldn't have been working on a 5 star hotel! The pictures on the internet are also cheating (not the rooms!), but there is a road between the hotel ... Read more

Traveled down to South Florida and decided to stay on South Beach for a night as I prefer to be in the middle of the action and right on Ocean Drive. I usually stay at the Park Central as I consider it the best value on Ocean for a quality hotel at a good price but unfortunately its currently closed for construction and figured since it was only one night I'd spurge a little. Ended up booking through Amex's fine hotels and resorts and was amazed at the incentives offered for the price (early che... Read more
