I booked this hotel based on reviews. This hotel is very convenient for a cruiser as it's about a $5.00 Uber ride (or cab) to cruise port and the view of the ship in the morning is amazing (if you get oceanview room) - totally worth the extra $$. The hotel is busy with nightlife, has a great pool and very helpful bell staff. Our room was clean and updated. I would highly recommend this hotel. A few facts -- a private sedan service from the Ft. Lauderdale airport to this hotel is about $80... Read more

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights prior to taking a cruise to get used to both the time zone and the weather having flown from a much cooler England. The hotel and service were excellent. We did not eat in the hotel but did have a few drinks and I would advise taking advantage of the happy hour(s) as the normal drink prices are a bit high. Excellent room overlooking the port and for the first time ever I saw our cruise ship actually arrive in a port and berth quite close to the hotel. Exc... Read more

I was very disappointed by this hotel. There was a large amount of black stuff on the caulking around the tub (I think it was mildew), something pink smeared on the walls in the bedroom, hallway, and bathroom walls and one of the bathroom lights was burnt out upon check in and never fixed. The most upsetting part of my stay was when an hour after I checked in an employee was at my door telling G me I needed to leave immediately as check out time was over 4 hours ago. By the time I got her to und... Read more

At the base of downtown. In Miami for a Design fair, the hotel is ok even if a bit old styled. Upgrade of the room with bayside view, spacious and clean. The bathroom is big but vintage bathtub is not my favorite. Breakfasts is American style with a large buffet for the guest. I did not experienced complementary services.

Wow! What a hotel, fantastic location, beautiful rooms & great customer service. We stayed for 1 night at the end of our trip to South Beach & The Bahamas. We upgraded to a King Room with Bay View on the Club Level. Well worth it, I was surprised how quiet the executive lounge was. There was free drinks between 6-8pm as well as snacks. An absolutely lavish hotel, but probably not worth the cost. Especially considering WiFi and breakfast are not included. You'd be better off staying at a business friendly hotel elsewhere downtown and paying 25-50% less. Additionally, I saw several of our conference guests, including some who were staying at the hotel, racially and economically profiled by the front staff, even though they were legitimate participants in the conference we paid for at the hotel. This is unacceptable behavior.

We only had a quick overnight stay here before we boarded a cruise ship the next day. It's a beautiful hotel with outstanding service and amenities. The price was reasonable for such a nice place right downtown. (A room near the airport in a 2-star hotel was just as much.) Having gotten in late, we ordered room service which arrived in 40 minutes and was delicious. The Kuerig coffee maker wasn't working and after a call, was replaced in a short time. This hotel has a really nice meeting facility, with a great restaurant, starbucks, etc. However, it did not meet the expectations of a 4-star hotel. Various things in my room don't work, e.g., the in-room safe gives an error code as soon as I enter a number; toilet paper holder is so shaky and loose that it couldn't hold the roll in place and I ended up placing the paper roll elsewhere; house keeping removes used cups but don't give me clean ones (even after I left a note, no clean cups were bro... The service at one of their best restaurants "Toro Toro" was extremely slow in the beginning (it was not crowded ) and the steak was burnt (asked for medium). They fixed the problem though. This is the seventh time at the Intercontinental, Miami. After the rather tricky entrance to the property off of I95, the first thing you experience at check-in, if you have a car, is the gouging you get for parking. I really admire how the valets can tell you with a straight face that parking is $37 per night and still expect a tip (which they got grudgingly - $3). I wish they allowed half stars as I would give a 3.5, but they don't and a 3 would be unfair. A prior phonecall requesting an upper floor was made and on arrival we were allocated our room on the 27th floor! The view was unbelievable, facing the harbour, we could see everything right across to South Beach. Very comfy beds meant a great nights sleep. But, attention to detail was poor. Vanity packs in the bathroom were already open and part used, questioning hygiene. Complimentary coffee missing ... Read more

The hotel is good, my main issue was how cold my room was. So I was not able to have a good night's sleep due to the room temperature although I turned off the air conditioner. It was also very inconvenient that a fridge was not available for me to store items in. Everything else was fine. The hotel is of a very high quality/standard.

Stayed for 4 nights recently. Excellent location and infraestructure. However, they seem to have a hot water capacity problem, at least during "peak times". 3 out of 4 mornings I had to shower with room-temperature water. It would just not get even warm. It didn't happen in the afternoon or evenings, just in the mornings, so obviously it wasn't a problem of the room. Also, the water didn't drain quick enough from the bathtub, so you would end up your shower with ankle-high levels of water

Hopping, urban hotel in previously dead downtown Miami, enjoying the revival. It's edgy, as demonstrated by the Apple-esque electronic shadow dancing figure taking up the front of the whole building at night. Large spa area with hot and dry sauna's, and pool, but bring your own pool towel, as the hotel does not provide them. Valet parking is $50/night, but download the park Miami app and park in one of the lots in front of the hotel and pay by phone or using the app. Excellent access to Bayf... Read more

The property is very nicely appointed and clean in both the sleeping rooms and the common areas. The lobby is inviting and a nice place to gather and socialize. It is very easy to find meeting rooms. I like their use of video walls throughout the lobby, the mezzanine floors and the elevators. The staff is the hotel's best asset. Everyone was nice and helpful.

Went to Miami to see Adele and the Intercon is ideally located near the arena. We had a great room overlooking the bay and the port. The rooms are large and well furnished. Had a snack by the pool and the service was excellent. After the concert we had a couple of glasses of wine at the lobby bar and it was really hopping. Wish we could have stayed longer.

I attended a conference here, which went without a hitch. Reliable internet and good food throughout the hotel. I liked the pool area and gardens on the fifth floor.
