I tried booking at this hotel but ended up cancelling my reservation a month in advance. Through I had free cancellation until 3 days to arrival but they ended up charging me anyway! I tried speaking to Ingrid in sales and she was beyond rude and very condescending. I even tried reaching out to Venecia the general manager, and she refused to email me back. I just got back my refund from this terrible place, and I would seriously advise you to look elsewhere. There's nothing wors... Read more

It is an ok place, i was on budget and i wanted to feel the beach and i got what i wanted. relatively old but feels clean, breakfast was nothing fancy, valet parking is ridiculously expensive, use the public parking just a block away, i wish there was a refrigerator in my room

This is a bargain hotel so it has its issues, especially like the wiring only a few outlets. But a good deal for an all guys or all girls trip where you are likely to spend less time in the room. They even have a nice patio facing the walgreens across the street, so you still see plenty of action even though you're not on ocean ave. Good prices for nice strong drinks at the bar also , compared to on ocean drive. Very short walk to the beach.

Check in was smooth and the staff were nice. The rooms were a bit tight but luckily there was only 3 of us in the room. the location is ideal because it's only a block from the beach and nightlife. It's across the street from Walgreens and other variety of stores. There's a really good sandwich and smoothie stand called "La Sandwicherie" walking towards 14th and Collins Ct, that's really good. We were there almost everyday. We would stay again.

The service was great until it was time for the staff to honor their promotional upgrade if you booked through their website and stayed at least 2 nights. First I had to inquire about it (as if it was going to be offered). Then coincidentally when I asked, "the room wasn't ready and come back tomorrow to check". When I came back the next day the room wasn't ready and was advised to check back after 1pm. So when I did as I was advised and returned back...guess got it, "the room is no... Read more

I was allocated a room on the second floor and someone helped me with my suitcase upon check in but upon check out I had to drag it downstairs myself (I didn t ask anyone as it was morning). The room was big and huge bed, it wasn t really well cleaned so ok-ish. The bathroom small and shower made of plastic so don't expect too much from it. It has an air drier and shower gel and shampoo provided so not too bad. Breakfast included yogurt, coffee, bananas, muffins, bagels, butter and jam so not to... Read more

I have stayed in this hotel for 1 night when visiting Miami with my husband. The room was bigger size then expected however with interesting smell, which gave me headache. The hotel offered glass of wine each in the bar, which was a nice touch but we didn't try it. The reception staff always looked too tired and couple of times we saw some of them even sleeping in the chair. Additional 17.5% hotel fees - not sure what this is all about as it wasn't mentioned when i booked this hotel. Towels prov... Read more

The Location is just perfect, the next street is Ocean Drive and the Beach, opposite to the Hotel you have a Walgreens (Supermarket). We booked a normal room but got an upgrade to a "Villaroom" which was great, huge with a Sofa and even a kitchen, nice Bathroom, everything was clean and newly renovated, it only had a strange odor in the room (I think those are the cleaning supplies) and we couldn´t open the window. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was far better then expe... Read more

Horrible, nothing like the photos on their website No customer service etiquette. Staff were rude. Rooms were very disappointing. Cracked walls, leaky faucets. Manager was just as rude as her staff!!! Not worth the rate. I don't recommend it!

I have many reasons for suggesting not to stay here, but it is mainly their lack of belief in good communication. First of all I tried to contact the hotel 5 times before my arrival via email and had NO response. Then housekeeping took my towel from the chair it was hanging from as well as my shorts. These were then outsourced to a company who does their laundry. I was leaving the day after and was told that they would be in contact with me to let me know when they receive the shorts and when ... It is an old-looking hotel, but the location is great, it is at 100 meters of the Ocean Drive and the Beach, opposite to the hotel you have a Walgreens supermarket. The rooms were perfectly clean and had a pleasant smell. The service was great and the staff very helpful. Highly recommended if you want to go to Miami Beach at an accessible cost.

We were a group of eight staying for five nights at South Beach Plaza Hotel. The hotel is conveniently located one block back from beach and bars. There is a Walgreens across the road. We paid a resort fee and a continental breakfast was included. We had a lovely big room on the ground floor, the others that we travelled had older, smaller rooms than ours, they were in need of re vamping. Overall the stay was pleasant, staff were friendly. Would defiantly stay again.

Just no. I have been in South Beach many times and this is the first time I really don't like my hotel. It's an old, decrepit, neglected hotel. Staff were nice, however the entire stay was horrible. Uncomfortable bed, walls have cracks and are like papers. Bad music from the hall, depressing atmosphere. Not recommended.

Friends from Vancouver invited me over to stay with them overnight. We were cramped in a small room (but who cares!) The room was reasonable for a couple but not for 3 people. Right across is Wallgreens. Valet Parking was $42/24 hours. A cheaper option are parkades 2 blocks away from the place for $16/24 hours. There's a bar by the lobby and nothing thereafter. Continental Breakfast is served at the veranda daily. Beautiful men walking around while sitting at the veranda was my favorite. Li... Read more
