I stayed one night at Holiday Inn Port of Miami. Room was very spacious, with kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. I had a view to the park, but unfortunately windows were so dirty I could not look thru it. Reception was nice and fast, there is a valet at the back at the hotel and a restaurant in the lobby. I ordered breakfast in the room, everything fine. BUT, the hotel is old, some parts were renovated and others still need a facelift. The location is great, walking distance from many a... Read more

Best location, across from bayside and The Heat Arena. Staff is friendly and this property appears to have the friendliest guests, every stay I've had here always ended up with me meeting a fresh new group of faces, I guess everyone feels so approachable. Intercontinental is usually my go-to IHG hotel for downtown Miami but this impresses me just as much. A taxi cab to Club Space is only about $10-13 too.

We stayed here for one night post cruise and I was so impressed when we first arrived, we arrived 4 hours early for check in, the guy outside called William was lovely and helped us take our bags in. The lovely receptionist with blonde hair advised we could check in an hour early and in the mean time we could store our bags for free. We went for a walk around Bayside which is lovely, went back to the hotel for early check in and spent the rest of the afternoon round the pool with complimentary ... Read more

When you book your room over the phone, they tell you the base price and not the total of the room. When I checked my statement was shocked to see additional charge for parking, which I was never told it was only a valet parking, and that for $30 plus tax. Thought I was getting a nice room for only $161, but checked out the next day and saw the balance it was $216.

We decided to stay in Miami after a cruise. We stayed at this hotel 4 nights, and we couldn't be happier. This staff is one of the best that I have experienced. We arrive early (around 10am) and they checked us in even though check-in time is not until 3pm. This made my day! The location of this hotel is not near the beach, but it is in Bayside area that offers plenty of restaurants, shopping, entertainment, etc. We had a hop on/hop off that shuttled us to the beach area. Was hesitant at first reading some of the reviews, but I'm glad we booked it. Room was clean, had a microwave, refrig. two large beds. Clean shower with shampoos, etc. Had a coffee maker. Used the gym and the pool. Went across the street to the Bayside Market and enjoyed the restaurants and views of the water. Will definitely use again if cruising out of Miami. Also had a CVS nearby to pick up a case of water to bring on board.

First impressions are always important and when checking in, we received a some what cold greeting. Which left an impression. ......no smile...no welcome....? The room was dated and very clean. No fridge....and a safe with a key as well as a daily fee if you chose to use it and a replacement fee if you lost the key. After our initial greeting........other staff members we encountered during our stay were pleasant. ..helpful and smiled. Location we felt was excellent as the hotel is very close to... Read more

We arrived early by a couple of hours and our room was not ready. Se we went to the bar and had a couple of beers and talked with some other cruisers. The setting is nice, I thought the beers were a little pricey, $7.00 each for domestic bottle. We got to our room which was nice. Had a good view of Bayside Market and the harbor. We went to the market, and had a drink and shopped around. We had an early dinner at Bubba Gumps which is always good. The next day, Sunday, we spoke with the concierge ... Read more

Spent Memorial weekend at this location. The friendliness of the staff made it a really nice trip. When I had a problem and I called the front desk, the problem was handled and solved immediately. The location is central to everything. We walked to American Airline Arena and also walked across the street to Bayside. I would definitely return to this location. We stayed in the Holiday in the night before the cruise. The room was small but sufficient for our family of four. The hotel was clean but a bit worn. The pool was small but clean with a nice courtyard. Overall this was an economical choice for a one night stay.

Stayed here on 25 June. The hotel currently does not have a bar licence, so they had beer to sell, but no other drinks. Hotel is only 2 minutes away from Bayside Marketplace, so lots of busy restaurants and bars very close by. We decided to stay at the Holiday inn because of the convenience to the Arena. What a disappointment this turned out to be. Let me start by saying that we had to valet park at a price of $27 dollars a day. This kicker was the valet wouldn't even help us with our baggage nor did they offer to get us a valet cart to transfer our bags. The room was completely outdated and the stale smell was terrible. But it was clean and adequate for the price and location. The pool is right by the hotel entry when you valet park in the back. Kind of strange. My first impression of the hotel was excellent and the quality of the staff remained excellent throughout my entire stay. I'd say it is above the quality of Hilton's and Marriott's usually. Very clean, very professional. I didn't eat the food so can't comment there. The internet is terrible unfortunately. Maybe only 500kbps or less. We really like this hotel--right across from Bayside--practically at the port. Staff is good, rooms are adequately appointed. Clean and restful after travel. Breakfast or dinner available but not included at hotel. CVS a block away. ?ber ride was $14 for 2 from airport.

We flew in the night before our cruise and was greeted by a friendly desk receptionist. Check-in was easy and smooth. The king room we reserved was comfy and clean. There was in-room coffee and tea and a bucket for ice. The bed was comfy with clean linens. There was decent cable stations with multiple HBO, a small desk and chairs. The bathroom was clean as well with a small offering of single-use toiletries for bathing. The hotel is perfect in location to port. A $6 Uber ride and you are ther... Read more

My Wife and I stayed here the night before our cruise left from the port of Miami. The hotel was a little older but in good condition. The room was smaller than we are used to but the closet space was huge. The bathroom was clean and the shower was nice and hot. They do have a restaurant in the lobby that had great breakfast. The staff was amazing! The airline lost one of our bags and the concierge was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the situation. The next morning when our lu... Read more

The lobby was fantastic! I loved walking in and seeing the great water feature in the middle of the floor, perfect place for it. The pool area (although I did use it) looked to be very tranquil and relaxing. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a taxi for the short ride to the cruise port. Also really liked the CVS being only 2 blocks away. Was able to go and grab 2 bottles of wine for the room. There were only TWO issues, one was I thought when booked this hotel had free con... I am going for a cruise in Miami and decided to stay here in Holiday Inn. The booking was impromptu via telephone. I didn't have time to check the actual location in the map but was so satisfied when I saw how close it was in the cruising terminal. The Bayside area is just across the road. Take time to stroll here especially in the evening for fun, shopping, dancing and dining. Other shops and commercial areas are just walking distance . CVS pharmacy and Walgreens are not far from the Hotel. ... Read more

Great location, weird entrance, clean but outdated rooms, slow elevators and check-out, nice employees, disappointing breakfast Most guests seem to arrive via taxi (presumable as a cruise layover) but arriving via private car is very strange. I did not receive an email the week before my stay like many hotels do, giving the weather, driving directions, ect. This would have been helpful as I had to guess where to go, since the front entrance has no drop off area. You would have to block traffi... Read more

The hotel is in a good location which is across from bayside market place and was 5 minutes from the cruise ship. The room was comfortable and clean and we had a great view of the bay and the cruise ships. The staff was very helpful. The restaurant served a buffet style breakfast in the morning which was $15.00. Nothing special as far as the breakfast, it is similar to what you get free in some other places. I would recommend the hotel due to location, comfort and staff.

Lovely staff! Amazing location (perfect if you are going on a cruise) and really nice rooms for a reasonable price. Super clean and quiet. The area seemed very safe to me, and there were lots of places for food within walking distance. Will stay here again.

The hotel is in a good location which is across from Bayside market place, which has many restaurants and shops and was 5 minutes from the cruise ship. The room was comfortable and clean, there was an issue with the air conditioner, temperature stayed at 74 degrees, but we didn't check in until 9 pm and didn't want to have to switch rooms. While I was actually here on business, this hotel is in a great spot. It is right across the street from the Port of Miami shopping/entertainment district. Great nightlife for before or after a cruise. For a business stay you have all the food or entertainment you want right there to take your mind off work. The ups; The staff, everyone was super pleasant, almost unrealistically nice. Not fake though, I just haven't had hotel staff be that nice in a non-resort hotel before, it was a great feeli... Pre-cruise stay, very convenient for port, $10 taxi ride. Friendly, helpful and efficient front desk staff in lovely, airy lobby with plenty of comfortable seating. Great room, well-equipped, and with good view towards the port; smallish bathroom but how much time do you spend there? Good choice of hot and cold breakfast in restaurant though a bit surprised that orange juice (as opposed to other juices) would be extra charge. Can't beat the location of this hotel, especially for the cruisers. The staff are also good, friendly and helpful and I liked the lobby area, modern bright and clean. But the rooms leave a lot to be desired. They really need updating especially the bathrooms. Our light casing came off in the bathroom and fell into the loo probably caused by the continual banging of doors (no slow release on the doors so they slam shut). Loo also blocked and I note other reviews have had toilet issues (plumbing p... Read more

If you book the right room your view is terriffic. They are also, well equiped and organized for those who are catching cruise ships in the area. They are very accomodating. I was visiting Miami from out of town to see a doctor and just needed a place to stay close to the doctor. There was a very long wait to get the room. And then I was charged more than double for 1 night!! I'm outraged. I've received no help to get this remedied over the phone - and have been calling for 2 weeks. Terrible experience

Is hotel was nice for a pre-cruise stay. It is pretty outdated which we knew going in from TripAdvisor reviews. The location was absolutely perfect. It is close to the market and has easy access to everything. We were able to pick up a few last minute items for our cruise. I suggest requesting a room on a high floor because Miami is hopping pretty late into the night. But it is so much fun.

Located at the port of Miami, the hotel is well located for staying pre-cruise. It is just across from Bayside Shopping with places to eat and a range of shops to browse in. The staff are friendly although the rooms are a little tired! Lovely reception area and a good breakfast. Beware of taking a taxi to the port as we were well overcharged! Get the price first!

First of all, I haven't stayed here in years, because of the ridiculous prices they charge during the Miami Book Fair weekend (annually in November). My rating is based SOLELY on their location, which is half-a-block from both the busiest entrance to the Book Fair and is closest to the main venue, Chapman Hall. I have not read any recent reviews, so take my information for what little it's worth. It's also a great place to rest in the lobby between author presentations, whether you're staying... Read more

Quick trip from Miami Intl Airport. Close to Bayside Market, Basketball arena and cruise terminals. Taxi stand right outside the front door. We were on the top floor and I booked a bay side view which was fantastic. I was very pleased with the room/cleanliness. The shower pressure was great, but it was too low for my husband to get under. We ate at the restaurant because it was late and the food was good. Waiter didn't speak very much English but service was good.
