Great location??? We enjoyed this vacation & reserved from our HGVC & the resort is small but relaxing & fun place to visit & would recommend this resort. The only thing that may make it even better is to a small bar/ snack bar in one of the lounge areas but great place!

The stay was a good stay overall. Was a little noisy due to construction behind the hotel. The room was a typical sized south beach room. Location was great with it being right near the end of south beach and close to the mall.

Great location, and people! I would recommend this place 100%. Plenty of good places to eat and right in the middle of all the action. If you want HiltonHonor points however, you are hot of luck. I just wish they would give HiltonHonor points for stays at the Hilton Vacation properties... This is not right!

South Beach #1 Experience is the Hilton Grand Vacation McAlpin. The Best Location, The best Staff, wonderful guests and the ability to do whatever you want from Beach to Brews, they know what to do. My adult daughter and I stayed at this location in May 2016. We were assigned Suite 2200 which was a great location for people watching. The room was spacious. The accommodations for the kitchen were complete. We had no complaints. The location was perfect! Directly across the street from the beach. I definitely would rebook at this hotel.

Great location across the street from the beach and walking distance from majority of south beach attractions. Only a couple blocks from all the clubs which was great because they are close enough to walk to but far enough to that you get some tranquility from all the commotion. Rooms are great quality with full kitchens. I love staying at all the HGVC resorts. Only down side was that they are building a hotel righ behind so you do hear the construction noise in the morning.

Historic art deco building on South Beach with direct access to the beach. Not your typical resort accommodation. It is a classic '30's hotel layout and environment. This is a self contained, free-standing building with no on-site parking, no swimming pool, no shops or dining on the premises. The resort is two four-story buildings, each with a hot-tub and small exercise area. There was a small business center and access to two sets of washer and dryer in each building. The staff is very friendly and helpful. (Especially Christine Garcia and Paul). The hotel is located on the main South Beach strip, but away from the noise of the loud music down the strip, but just close enough to walk down there in less than 5 minutes. Well located at one end of Ocean Drive. Usually hotels on Ocean Drive are very expensive because the area is "hip" but the Hilton Vacation Club property is well kept although reasonably priced and the rooms are spacious for the area. Car valet is expensive but works well.

The good and the bad. The good is the location is South Beach and is nice. The hotel was average, the staff was great, but the rooms are like staying in a cave. You have no visibility of the ocean. Even the roof top hangout, you don't see a view unless you are standing up. Should you decide to sit up there, you don't see a thing. I just found the entire experience odd. Cool Art Deco hotel near the beach and restaurants. Not many windows in the rooms. Guess only so much can be done with old building. Very small and slow elevator. Went with a 7 yr old so would have been nice to have a pool. Rather loud room across the hall, but when they checked out it was nice and quiet despite being right on Ocean Drive. The staff was very nice and worked to help us out when the A/C went out overnight. No laundry in the rooms, but some were nearby down the hall.

When it comes to upscale resorts, Hilton Grand (in my opinion) is great. Although this is not the greatest, it is very good for a 4-star resort on Miami Beach. If you are looking for an upscale, high-quality, luxury, best of the best, top notch resort, this place may not be for you. We stayed in the McAlpin building. The staff was inviting and informative upon arrival. Hilton did an excellent job with updates to this building by marrying the art deco lines with contemporary finishes. Our one bedroom was comfortable for my husband and I. We were on the fourth floor with easy access to the roof-top terrace. We did not miss one sunrise while we were there even though our room did not have a view. There is no parking on the property. However, there are several parking ra... Read more

I looked so forward to my stay. One reason for choosing this hotel is because I wanted to get much needed rest and relaxation. I was on the 1st floor..loud construction was right outside my bedroom window.

This hotel / resort had many safety features in place so that access to rooms was granted only to registered guests and their friends. There was no admittance without the key card. the rooms were beautiful and clean!

They have a warm, very friendly and helpful staff. The resort is very clean and well maintained. The location is perfect. Across the street from the ocean and near many wonderful restaurants and night clubs.

My wife and I wanted to get away for a few days. We could not have chosen a better location and the hotel was perfect from our arrival to our departure. Located not only close to the beach but reasonable walking distance to fabulous restaurants and shopping. It was also easy to get to when you want to take day excursions. You can save yourself some money by using self park in the garage only a block away versus Valet.

Hilton has taken two adjacent hotels from the Art Deco era and while maintaining the vintage aspects in the public areas, has, over the many years we have visited, maintained and modernized the interior rooms to a high standard. Rooms have up-to-date kitchenettes, bathrooms and well appointed bedrooms. The beachfront location is prime and on the quieter end of Ocean Drive and close to Lincoln Road shops and many fine restaurants.

Hilton is in a great location - glad they took over this original Art deco building . Great area to walk . Across from beautiful beach. friendly staff. We like it in November . not too crowded and beautiful weather . No pool - but nice rooftop sun area with hot tub.

The staff and facilities were great and the location was convenient to the beach and easily within walking distance to many great restaurants and clubs! We are looking forward to our next stay here when we return to South Beach!

The hotel has a dull and boring feeling. The jacuzzi that is on the top deck (deck 4) is only made for two people. They do not offer any kind of breakfast. The coffee is decent, but there is a Starbucks only a few buildings down. The one bedroom room had a good amount of space. The hotel is small compared to the other resorts in the area.

Lovely place in great location. Helpful staff who made us very welcome. Unrivalled access to beach and plenty of places to eat within yards. Despite being in the centre the room was very quiet. Only small downside was no view from window

We had the best time at this HGVC location. The rooms were awesome, plenty of room, the beds were so comfortable, the hotel staff were awesome. It was just a pleasure to stay here and my entire group of about 15 people were so impressed. I will be back in March!

My husband I visited the McAlpin-Ocean Plaza Hilton in early December, a quick Monday to Friday getaway. We knew the limitations of the older, art deco hotel before we booked so weren't surprised with no view from our 2nd story room. Our room was nicely appointed and comfortable. Ample space for a couple, though the bed was a little tight - not sure if it was a double or queen. The kitchenette offered just the right amenities for breakfast and latenight snack prep. My only complaint about the... Read more
