"Overall, a pretty good buy! I was quite surprised due to the affordable price - but I was impressed. The room was clean, had a modern look. The courtyard is great for relaxing or having a drink. Location was excellent! Corner of Washington and 5th, Collins is one street over and Ocean drive was 2 streets over. Close to the beach and shops would def come here again - and they have a OVERNIGHT parking lot right behind the hotel (little pricey but there are garages near by)."

"Staff was very attentive and the hotel was in a great location. We were in a first floor room facing an alley and a parking lot. The rooms have hardwood floors so we could hear the upstairs person walking around. Next time I would ask for a 2nd floor (or higher) courtyard room. Bed was comfortable and sheets etc were very clean. They have rehabbed an old building so there is charm there but if you are looking for a more upscale experience, this place is not for you. Overall a good place 2 blocks from the beach and blocks away from the heart of South Miami Beach. Totally worth the $100/night. Loved the courtyard seating and updated furniture."

"We paid $200 a night during Winter Music Conference. As a native to Miami Beach and now a frequent visitor, this was average for this hotel. Unfortunately all hotels increase their rates during busy weeks. I wouldnt have paid $200 a night for this hotel if it was a nonevent week. The wood floors are noisy, but we found if you left the bathroom light/fan running it blocked out the noise. The decor was modern and updated, but the renovations were done very cheap. The IPOD docking station was a joke and did not work. The wood floors were painted black (obviously not done professionally), the tiling in the bathroom was a little askew.....however there was a working safe in the closet which was nice. The most important things were it was very clean and the staff was helpful. The maids did a nice job cleaning. The courtyard and lobby were nice. We felt safe and comfortable."

"Great location for access to beach and shops. Couldn't check in until 5 because room was not ready - check in time is 3 pm. Our card key would not work for us so staff opened door and said the key was just 'tricky'. When we reutrned after dinner our key would not work once again and neither would the master key. We had to wait in the lobby 60 minutes for an 'engineer' to come and break into our room. The girls at the desk felt so badly she brought champagne to our room later on. The walls are very thin so noise travels. There is only valet parking run by a seperate company. They backed our car into a pole and dented the back bumper and the company owner was 'unavailabe' to deal with the issue. So other than a good location and friendly staff we would never stay here again."

"We got a good price on room. The best thing about this hotel is the location.If you get a good price and want just a basic room with very little amenities I would recommend staying here. It's a short walk to everything in South Beach. The bed was comfortable. We had a corner room so we had two windows which made it bright and airy. The blanket was in the small closet area. The courtyard was a nice place to relax. It's still a work in progress I think."

"The hotel was nice for $99. We had a ton of hot water and the bed was nice and big. The rooms are a bit bare so I hope that the renovations are not done yet. The staff was excellent! We have never been to South Beach and they helped us get around with no problem."

"This hotel was a disaster from the start. We needed a place to stay post cruise and booked Hotel in advance. When we arrived we needed two beds, not one, which evidently is a $45 (upgrade?) When I got to the room I asked for more pillows as there were four of us and only 4 pillows in the room total, not 4 pillows per bed which is standard. We left for dinner and the pillows were still not there. I asked again and they said they would do what they could. After showering we realized that there were only 2 bath towels in the room. I asked for more towels and was told they were no more and they were shipped out for laundry. I sarcastically mentioned that I wasn't be treated right and that I paid $45 extra for this upgrade in room quality. It is unacceptable to run out of towels or pillows in a hotel, period. My party of four got almost no sleep the entire night as partying guests arrived at 4:30AM and promptly woke up everyone. We could hear conversations from at least two directions, through the hallway, and in the courtyard late into the morning. Hardwood floor, although appealing, are not conducive to keeping noise down. Parking is also overpriced and not included in a nightly stay. The only redeeming quality of this hotel was the only friendly associate there, who did his best to bring hand towels and a bed sheet to us for showering. The lady at the front counter was very rude and frankly does not belong in customer service. I wouldn't even think of directing anyone to the Hotel, ever."

"We stayed at the Hotel on Washington Ave. We found the hotel to be good, we were happy with the room and price. The staff were very friendly, helped us carry cases up the stairs (no lift) and the front desk's suggestion to breakfast at the Big Pink was superb, a great place and we went both mornings. We will definately go back when we are next in Miami Beach."

"Did a quick 4 day break ; hotel was excellent value but a bit on the rough edge ( as renovations not fully completed ); towels a tad thin , mattress just a single foam unti, no box spring ; no soda machines , etc. ; BUT great staff, rooms well-sizeds, excellent shower and hot water ( bathrooms small but OK ) , excellent neighborhood ( beach 4 blocks, excellent Italian restaurant / bar next door ) ."

"Recently renovated. Walls too thin - very loud making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. The staff was very friendly and even offered to switch me to another room but was warned the the WiFi was weak. The WiFi was already weak in my room do I couldn't imagine it being worse. Hotel is on a good location and is very clean. The staff is friendly but I don't feel the value of room was worth the discounted price. Will probably not return to this spot. Rather pay a little extra for a better spot that includes a pool...."

"The hotel location is away from the center of South Beach so it's definitely more quiet. While I haven't stayed anywhere else in South Beach so I don't have anything else to compare it to. I would say that I expected our room to be bigger and nicer based on the web photos and price I paid. Our view was of the dumpster of the restaurant next door. The staff was very friendly and helpful answering questions about local eateries and things to do. I would stay here again. The Super Shuttle is more expensive than a taxi (with 2 people the taxi is a flat rate to South Beach and the Shuttle is per person.) it is very slow. We waited over 30 minutes and our shuttle still hadn't arrived and the lady running the station where we waited was clueless. In the meantime a huge line of people waiting for taxis came and went. In the end we ended up taking a taxi and are trying to get a refund for our shuttle reservation."

"Stayed at the Harrison Hotel. Grand reopening after a remodeling. Nice place, just a bed and bath, nothing more, NO ELEVATORS!!! Worth the $99/night, but not more than that. Staff is WONDERFUL!! Note on Alamo rentals, don't buy and upgrade. When you get to the cars they tell you to take whatever you want that is in that aisle. MANY of the cars are far larger than you paid for."

"My hotel was not great at all don't get me wrong it was in a great location but the hotel was not worth 5 cents let alone $99 a night (re-grand opening special) this was no special there was nothing new or remodeled about this place when you first come to the gate the walk way area was dirty also the furniture torn and worn and the rooms were clean but nothing else one sheet on bed and one chair in the room thats it (stay away from this pllace not worth the money) unless you want a place to lay your head thats that about all you'll get it and you could hear every little noise walls are paper thin and I did not fell safe after housekeeping burst into my room 2 times without knocking even when I had do not disturb on the door...."

"We were in South Beach for 5 days.Harrison Hotel is very well located for our purposes.Very good restaurants very close by(we did not have a car with us)as well as a short walk to the beach and conveniences. Hotel did not have ice or vending machines,and we had to get our WiFi only on the first floor. The room was fine, HDTV fine no complaints there except the pillows were very small.Linen service was good and towels new and good quality. The hotel served us well for our purposes. We would not return unless said amenities were corrected ,after all,it is supposed to be a hotel.No bar,no food but as I said,location is great."

"We got a room at 'The New Harrison Hotel' in south beach. When we arrived to get checked it it took a few minutes to check in... That was nice, I asked the staff about barking and best place to unload the car without getting a ticket. The lady was kinda rude and told us just to find park near the hotel. Once we got into are room are bed only had a sheet on it. Nothing thicker for the cooler nights in Florida. The wood floors where dirty. My feet where black just walking on them. We found several hairs on the sheets. The bathroom was tiny, had no stopper in the bathtub, or sink. I would not recommend this to anyone. I would have payed full price at another hotel."

"My trip to South Beach: I stayed at The Harrison Hotel ...411 Washington Ave.,South Beach, Florida.No hot water.I had to sponge bathe in the bathroom sink since water was turned off and prevented the shower/tub from getting any water.ODD...since the toilet flushed and refilled, and the sink had full water force but was cold only.I was told that no plumbing parts were available on Sunday.I was still greatful for the $99.one nighter. The hotel needs to have another grand opening after they complete ALL the renovation.The room was clean and newly polyurathaned hard wood floors....freshly painted walls and clean furniture but no chair in the room.The service was very good...pleasant staff and helpful with directions to fine dining and metro bus transportation to the MIA airport just around the corner.( only $2.35.route 150)
