The Dorchester Hotel is located in the heart of the historical Art Deco District, on Collins Avenue and 18th Street, across the street from the ocean. Lincoln Road Mall, Jackie Gleason Theater, Miami Beach Convention Center, are within a 5 minute walk. All within walking distance, the Dorchester Hotel is the ideal location for a quick getaway, honeymoon, business, or long beach vacations.

Built in the Mediterranean style in 1939 by famous Architect Frank Wyatt Woods, the Dorchester is a three-story building that wraps around a garden patio. Decorative keystone panels, terrazzo floors, and a metal grillwork with the hotel's initial letter have all been preserved. In the morning, Dorchester Cafe serves fresh breakfast--indoors or in the tropical garden patio (not included in rate). The hotel features billiards, and a landscaped pool area complete with poolside barbecues. They also offer laundry, translation, porter, and concierge services. All rooms have a/c and cable television.

Meticulously restored to their original beauty, guest rooms are modern and elegantly complete. The friendly multi-lingual staff has one purpose: to make you feel at home. Some of the most famous hotels in the world - the Delano, the Shore Club, the new Ritz Carlton - are situated all around. But at the Dorchester, too, you might come across models in from Paris doing a photo shoot, or actors from the nearby Jackie Gleason Theater. You will appreciate the intimate setting and much more reasonable rates.

    "I went to this hotel and i would recommend it...just make sure the finance end of it is taken care of before your stay because the staff can be a little forgetful but other than that it was a pleasant hotel that gives a lot of leeway to the pool during the later hours. O and they charge a $25 fee everyday for parking that was kind of messed up. Good place to stay overall... clean and pleasant."
