DORCHESTER AMENITIES
Built in the Mediterranean style in 1939 by famous Architect Frank Wyatt Woods, the Dorchester is a three-story building that wraps around a garden patio. Decorative keystone panels, terrazzo floors, and a metal grillwork with the hotel's initial letter have all been preserved. In the morning, Dorchester Cafe serves fresh breakfast--indoors or in the tropical garden patio (not included in rate). The hotel features billiards, and a landscaped pool area complete with poolside barbecues. They also offer laundry, translation, porter, and concierge services. All rooms have a/c and cable television.

"Although there seems to be many good reviews for this hotel, we were not thoroughly impressed. The location was close enough to Lincoln road and Convention centre. To access the beach, you had to walk across the street to their sister hotel The Marseilles. The beach area here is more weedy than the hotels further south. Our room was very small, and the bathroom was very old (the flooring was peeling off). We stayed 3 nights and on one occasion, the maid had forgotten to replace our towels and toiletries (makes you wonder if they had cleaned the bathroom at all). We called down but it took 15 minutes before anyone picked up. They inform you of the mandatory resort fee at the beginning, and compared to other hotels, it is a fair price. I don't even know if they have a hotel pool as I never saw one during my stay."

"The hotel charge extra $ 10.00 at check out of the hotel for using a towels in the room and using toilet paper( riducules).I was in many hotels and never was charge to use a toalet papers and towels ,isnt it include in price of the hotel. everything was clear no more charges when i made booking. I demand to get my money back if not I will start a legal way. Im so dissapointed because of it.If I will not get my money back I will never use a ' this hotel any more and I will advertise to internet on every page possible about it ( Google,Yahoo ,facebook and others) "
