Stayed 2 nights pre cruise, we were aware it was the weekend of the Ultra music festival expected it to be full of people and noisey. We had arrived from a long flight from Australia at around 11pm to find they put us in the worst possible room, after phoning them to request a quiet room; where loud techno music was being played right next to our window. It was from the pool terrace of our hotel. We went down to reception and asked to be moved to another room, they said they were completely f... Read more

It's as hard to get anything done here as it is in the other Congress in Washington. You would think a hotel would have extra towels easily available, right? We waited for more than a day for three towels, dirty when we arrived, to be replaced. The front desk checks you in and out, but we learned that housekeeping has been contracted out and takes care of business on their own sweet time. This hotel is also in two buildings, and it's cumbersome to go from one to the other to use the pool, no... Read more

The rooms r nice and roomy bed was nice and comfy bathroom is weird couldn't find the latch for over head shower until the last day (hahaha) music does play till like 5 am so if u are a light sleeper not for u! Unless u get hammered then it won't matter ;-)! Hotel front desk was absolutely rude especially the females. The bigger guy that works there was stressed out of his mind, phone rang and rang, stood there for an hr before we got our room since the names were messed up! Need more help for s... Read more

We had a room overlooking Ocean Drive (in the Deco building). Very large room, with a full kitchen (which we don't use) and separate bedroom. The bed was very low, but adequate. The shower was in the free standing tub, with separate controls for the overhead shower head. The location is right in the center of the party zone on Ocean Drive. Very noisy most of the day and night. We had no problems sleeping however.

We're gonna give you the true essence of a disastrous unprofessional place. The dreaded Congress hotel.. South Beach Miami,. Visited this hotel April 27th 2016 stayed for just 4 nights..thank God that's all we had to stay for. First time we arrived we pulled up outside the hotel with not being able to leave car outside which we hired.. And was told to drive around and find a car park for 20/40 dollars a day..stressed already as from car park it was a long way back to walk to hotel. On arrival w... Read more

My friends and I went down to South Beach for a bachelor party. We stayed at Cary's condo on Ocean Drive because we decided we wanted to be located right on the beach. We could not have asked for anything more. Cary's condo was no only right on Ocean Dr, but right in the heart of all of the action. Everything about the room was what we had expected and the roof top pool was nothing less than spectacular. As soon as we walked out the front of the unit we were where all the action is on Ocean D... Read more

The room was ok but it had it's problems for sure. No pots or pans to cook with but it had a kitchen net with dishwasher and stove. Then the Bed Broke/Clasp and we told the front desk about it and the maintenance man tried to fix it but couldn't nor did they offer us another room so me and my husband slept in a broke bed for 3 days which we paid $886.00 for 3 Nights. The front desk girl suppose to wrote it in our notes about the Bed and said we wouldn't be charge for it. At checkout they still wa... Read more

Despite taking a significant amount of time to check in (over 20 min in line) once it was our turn to be attended to the staff where very friendly and knowledgable about the local area. We had one of the private rooms next to the main hotel building which was delightful. It consisted of all the facilities you would need including a dishwasher, fridge freezer, coffee maker and other items. The bathroom was spacious and they had kindly provided shampoo and body wash. Although centrally located on ... Read more

The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was nice and large with a full kitchen which came in handy for leftovers and drinks. The rooftop pool had an amazing view!! The pool itself is small and there aren't many lounge chairs but honestly we didn't have trouble finding chairs the days we went up to lay out. They do a happy hour for all guests each evening on the rooftop pool and would have a DJ or music playing! My only complaints are really small c... Read more

I stayed here when it was the Strand and it was amazing. But now the Congress hotel has taken over 3 buildings next to each other and you have no idea where they are going to put you. I booked a room with a balcony a one bedroom suite, when I got there the girl at reception said that balconies were no longer guaranteed as they had no rooms in the main building and sent us to a room with no balcony. I sat on the bed and the leg fell off. I went to the reception which is in another building a... Read more

This hotel is in a great location and the nightly rate is excellent. Where they get you is the fees. Don't take a car as it will cost you $42 a night to valet park and the incessant tipping that goes with it. There is a $15.50 daily "resort" fee per person and I can't figure out why. I had to sign for a pool towel and couldn't even get ice in the room. If you don't have a car; this is still a good value as the room itself is comfy and has a full kitchen.

Only my second review in 5 years so you know this isn't something I do offend. On that note Summer 2016 was especially sweet to me. Not only was in celebrating my birthday as well as being on a much needed vacation but booking a room with VRSUITES was a blessing in disguise. I was looking for a place to stay in South beach Miami preferably on Ocean Drive with no luck. I actually searched for days to find something nice, inexpensive, and close to the beach. The sweet thing is I found all of that ... Read more

I'll start with some of the negative. The hotel seems unorganized. I called a head and reported the time we would be in, which was later than checkin. Our rooms were not ready for additional hour. I also request adjacent room, because we were there for a bachelorette but we were in different areas of the hotel. Everyone seemed to pass the responsibility to someone else. I enjoyed the location, because it was directly on the strip. The room was spacious and clean. I enjoyed the complime... Read more

First walking into the room it was spacious. We had a kitchenette, fridge, tv, wifi, everything they said it comes with. And of course you notice the flaws the longer you stay. Well come to find out the fridge did not work. We called twice for maintenance the first guy did what I could have done, pressed a few buttons. Second day, second call. Guy comes, looks with his flashlight, dusts of the build-up of dust. Meanwhile, we were in the middle of getting ready to go out so that was a litt... Read more

In hindsight this hotel is great due to location. Right off Ocean Drive, easy access to the beautiful beach. This really is the ONLY thing going for this hotel. Since check-in the service was absolutely horrible. Walking into our room, we immediately were amazed at how spacious it was. We stayed there 4 nights and each minute we noticed how gross and unsanitary the hotel was. The ceiling and walls are dirty and have black stains all over them. Don't expect much from housekeeping either. One lady... Read more

PERFECT LOCATION!!!! This hotel was in the perfect location!!! Stayed in room 206 in D building & never had any problem with noise minus the drunk guy knocking on our door at 3am. We always tipped valet a few bucks when getting our car, and called down to front desk when we wanted it. There was an issue with our valet rate. Our reservation which we had printed stated the rate was $30 per day, they charged us $42. We went to front desk who said they "took care of it" & would give us the $30 rate.... Read more

We stayed one horrible night at Ocean Drive VR Suites, which is a part of Congress Hotel and located just a few doors away, with the same fantastic beach view and with access to the rooftop swimmingpool. Shortly after checking in we alerted the reception of several things that were not working well in the apartment (from a beeping, faulty fire alarm to a Stibe that could not be turned off) and were left to believe that it would be fixed during the course of the evening. Only the next day were we... Read more

Started off bad right away being checked in an hour and a half late. We waited patiently by their pool (which is probably the only positive of the hotel). We were ignored the whole time while in the lobby and the gentleman working the front desk looked like he did not want to work there and never bothered to smile at least once. Im not the type of customer that expects all workers to be enthusiastic and chirpy, but he was really bad. Not even a single apology for the delay was offered. This hote... Read more

Beautiful location. Dirty rooms. Housekeeping is scarce. Need to ask for them to come in and when they do only the basics are done. No sheet changes. Been here for four nights, and with the sand, sunscreen, they need to be changed. Housekeeping actually removed the spare roll of toilet paper leaving us with none. The grime on the frosted windows is quite visible. The mirrors have pop spray on them been here since check in. At an average rate of $250 a night it's just not worth it. Very disorgani... Read more
