"No wonder is kept a secret! is rotten, filled with mold/mildew, no security at all at night! I had someone knocking at my door past 1130 pm and called front desk who said nobody passed by front desk and that I shouldn't open the door! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? of course I am not opening but they didn't move a finger to come and see what was going on besides that took forever for someone to answer the call.
Besides: why am i paying for a safe if i didn't ask for one? if that is called safe anyway.
needs complete rehab: building and staff!
Owners need to take care of their own property before putting people's life in danger!
MOLD AND MILDEW and dirt EVERYWHERE!
ONE TOWEL TO BE USED BY 2 PEOPLE?!??! ARE YOU SERIOUS?
Department of health should lock it down!"

"If you expect 4 stars, stay home, however, if you are looking for an inexpensive hotel with excellent access to Miami mass transit, and if you can live with a bare bones contintental breakfast, ice machines which don't work, and a beautiful pool whose shower isn't working and you bring your room towels down, then you'll be fine here. We were on a strict budget and walked the four blocks nightly to pick up take-out at the local Winn Dixie. There are a lot of upscale restaurants close by as well as a mall and movies within walking distance. We also walked to U of M for a baseball game."

"I arrived to the Best Miami Hotel on a Friday evening. Staff was indifferent and less than courteous. When I saw my room I was shocked. There was mold on the air vents, a stained lamp shade, chips in the paint, rust marks on the refrigerator and horribly lumpy pillows. The smell was one that was musky and body odor.
When I told the front desk clerk that I would only be staying one night of my 3 night stay, I was told I would be charged for all 3 nights anyway. I said that I wanted to change rooms then and I was given a slightly better room. The smell was still musty, but was overwhelmed by cigarette smoke. Clearly it was a smoking room in the past.
I would not recommend this hotel for my worst enemy. The clientel were questionable in character as well as the staff. The pool had overgrown weeds around it and cigarette butts in the plants. Disgusting!!
Run far away from Best Miami Hotel!"

"I arrived late at night; I was shocked because of the darkness. In the morning it looked much better by daylight and I feld much better. The rooms were ok for the price, but the carpets on the corridors were very dirty. The carpets should have to be replaced. The clerk is very kind and the shuttle personnel are also very kind."

"This is the worst experience that I have ever encountered with a hotel room. Upon checking in, the desk manager was so slow that I waited 30 minutes for her to check in two other people in front of me. Then, at check in, you are told that there is a mandatory $2.00 room safe fee - EVEN IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO USE THE SAFE! And then there was a $25.00 deposit that was refundable upon checking out. Then I asked what time the first shuttle leaves for the airport in the morning, since I had an early flight. The shuttle starts at 8:00am which was too late for me. When I asked what other way to get to the airport, the desk attendant said only a taxi and it would cost approximately $30.00. She did not even mention that just one block away there was the new Orange Line Metro train that starts running at 5 am and costs only $2.00 to take to the airport. Fortunately, I found this out by myself when walking around looking for somewhere to eat. The final shocker was when I got to my room and saw that THERE WAS NO SOAP! Not even a tiny soap bar. I went down to the main desk and asked and she said that THEY DO NOT PROVIDE SOAP! THIS IS THE FIRST HOTEL THAT I HAVE EVER STAYED IN WHILE TRAVELING ALL OVER THE WORLD THAT DID NOT PROVIDE SOAP. EVEN LOWER END HOTELS PROVIDE A BAR OF SOAP! Also, the door lock was brocken. Fortunately, I was staying only one night in transit and left as early as I could the next morning. In my book, this classifies as a dump."
