"I took my daughter and her friend for spring break and the location was fantastic. We could walk to shops and restaurants and the beach was across the street! The staff is friendly and for the price it's a good solid choice. The AC was not working that well so we got a fan. Other than that one problem, we really enjoyed our stay."

"I was pleasantly happy with the location of this hotel. Sure it was old, and the elevator was from 1930. But all hotels on Ocean Drive were built in this era. The staff was nice and courteous at the front desk. We came back from the beach on our second day and noticed the room wasnt cleaned yet. We had no clean towel. We went for dinner and came back, and room still wasnt made up. We called front desk and they informed us, there was no cleaning staff on site, so we were stuck with a messy room for a night. The rest of the week they managed to clean up. However my one MAJOR disappointment with my stay here was on the morning I was checking out, I asked for my car keys (they keep your keys at front desk, because they have limited parking spots and need in case of moving vehicles), they said 'THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE KEYS'. So the HOTEL managed to LOSE my car rental Keys.They had to call a locksmith, they had to come create a new key, that took 2 hours...and well atleast the hotel paid for the $250 charge, however it didnt help by making me arrive at the airport half hour before my plane left, and just made the flight with 5 min to spare. Was any of that hassle compensated...No....Because of that I will probably not go back, due to the loss of trust with the hotel now. My recommendation is, Keep your keys with you if you stay there, and park your car up front (against the fence) All in all, it's a great location, noisy night sleep, but your in the heart of South Beach near all restaurants, clubs, and Action part of the beach."

"The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to just about everything. the lobby was crawling with termites, also our room. when we told the front desk, they said they would handle the problem, came back to the room and there were more termites on the drapes. i told the front desk that I wanted a new room which was provided without termites. Its a great place for travelers on a budget, just dont stay on the first floor."

"We visited the Miami music conference and were looking for a decent priced hotel as we're never really bothered about 5 star luxury. It took a while but we managed to find the hotel at an amazing price as part of a package especially for the location. When we got there it exceeded our expectations on every score. The location was perfect, across the road from South Beach and easily accesible to anywhere. The room itself was better than the price suggested, we had an ocean view and the shower was spot on. The only negative was the air con which blew freezing cold air out regardless of the temperature which could get cold anyway and when we closed the shutter it made a whistling sound like the arctic was outside! The staff were really helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend the hotel for anyone apart from snobs who turn their nose up at less than 5 star luxury! Had an amazing time here!"

"I surprised my husband with a trip to Miami for his 30th birthday. We stayed one night and immediately checked out in the morning. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE!! I have stayed in the art deco hotels in South Beach before so I was not expecting glamor or fancy things, however I do expect certain things if I am paying money for them. The toilet paper holder and towel rack in the bathroom were broken off the walls and were laying on top of the toilet. There were BB gun holes in the TV screen...not to mention that the TV was shoved in a place that no one could view it properly. There were no closet doors and the floors had crumbs and finger nail clippings all over them. In the morning we opened the blinds (which were broken as well) to see that lovely 'ocean view' that they so kindly upgraded us too and the windows were so incredibly dirty that you could not see out them. We laughed out loud at this. Anyone is better off spending $30/night and staying anywhere else. The front desk manager was at least nice when we told him of our complaints and said we were going to check out days early. They even allowed us to fill out a complaint form that would be giving to the hotel owner and manager."

"This hotel was crazy! Me and my friend rented a one bedroom and we did not enjoy it! The maids did not give us clean sheets or clean wash rags. There was several times that they ran out of wash rag/towels and we was left without wash cloths. Our tv was small and the picture kept messing up. The hotel is located on the corner by an alley and its noisy at night. The hotel lobby smells like seafood from the crabshack restaurant in the hotel. You have to carry your luggage up the steps. There was an elevator,but it was so tiny and old school. Several of the doors had pieces of paper with room numbers on them, including mine. The lamp shade was taped to the lamp wire. There was holes in the curtain. The shower had half of a glass plate covering the front area of the shower and the floor was always soaked because of this. Overall this hotel is low budget and I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here unless you are really on a tight budget!"

"Great location. Horrible hotel. We paid for a two bed, when we got there receiveed a one bed. The toilet stopped up one day and overflowed the next. They dont bring anything to you. We had to wait at least thirty minutes everyday for clean towels. They don't refil anything when they clean the room, only the bed sheets. You cant control the heat. However cold or hot it is outside, you will feel that in your room. The only reason we stayed here is because of the great location and cheap price however, I wouldnt stay again."

"This hotel could be a gem....perfect location, and many positives. BUT, the tiny elevator was not only claustrophobic and scary looking, it failed on our second day (we were on the third floor)...if I'd been on it, I'd have had a heart attack!!!!! The lobby is hot and sweaty, not air conditioned. The room is basically clean, bare bones. Extra 12 to $20 for parking each day. Also the washing machine 'broke' so that we could not have wash cloths or towels for morning showers. We moved. To their credit, they helped us with luggage up and down the stairs, and were nice enough about refunding the difference when we moved. If it's for anyone, this hotel is for 25-year old, physically fit back--packers who have $20 a day for parking exgtra, and $40 to pay for breakfast."

"My friend and I found this place and while we were trying to avoid staying in a too cheap place, we couldn't really beat the price and location. There is nothing fancy, special, or extra about this hotel BUT you really cannot beat the price and location. You are right across the street from the ocean, right in the midst of action on Ocean Drive, and walking distance to numerous restaurants and shops. The staff was great and while the hallways were kind of unsettling, the room itself was perfectly fine and clean. The gelato store in the front lobby also adds a fun little european touch as well. All in all, would definitely recommend it to someone looking for pure south beach and not wanting to spend a lot of money on their accommodations."

"Yikes! It was surely not what the 6 of us expected (3 rooms). The floors were all tiled and women were clip-clopping up and down the hall all night in high heels. People were yelling at each other from one end of the hall to the other. Also lots of goings on during the night in the parking lot outside one of the rooms. The price was right, however."

"I went down there knowing the Star quality would be different compare to most places and all the hotel on Ocean drive were built in late 70's. So yes the rooms were small and I could have used a mini fridge in the room and the elevator was defintely a scary experience at first. Overall the rooms were clean, the staff helpful and friendly and it was a perfect location to everything.I receive a good rate on the room through Bookit so I would defintely stay there again."

"Where do I start? Girl at front desk was nice, cant say so much for the guy losing his hair that works at the front during the day. He wasnt friendly with poor customer service there, come on we're guest at your hotel! They must have sprayed the room for flies and insects before we got in the room, but they could have at the least swept up the dead flies so we didn't see them! No remote control for the tv, oh yeah it was from the 90s. Old elevator. Poor wifi signal. Asked for extra towels, attendant responded 'there should be 3 in the bathroom'. Did not feel welcoming at all! I'm not ashamed to say it either, thats why I left my email.

First the room was not goood at all there was a big hole in the wall in the bath room the room was to cold when I asked for a blanket I had call three times then I had a face to face confruntation with the front desk, our toleit was stop up and they could not get anyone there until 10pm we had to plunge our own toliet, then the smoke detector keep going off, so they finally moved us to another room for the last two nights will never stay there again watch where you stay just to be on the strip if you dont care where you stay then this is the place for you and the decore is nothing like it says, on line, some of my sheets where durty with spots on them. never had such a bad exsperience before up until now"

Ive read many posts and they are misleading!!! I booked the beach Paradise Hotel and i wanted to stay in a Prime Location with a nice room...not only was the room nice but the location on 6th and Ocean was near or in the vacinity of everything i wanted....the Hotel on the outside is not the best...the lobby is decent but the room i had 3H WAS GREAT and my wife who is a stickler about hotel rooms was more than satified...we enjoyed our 5 days in miami.....i would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Beach Paradise Hotel to anyone looking to stay in miami and have a nice time.....the hotel was under renovations so i believe it will get better....i didnt eat in the hotel so i cant comment about that but the overall stay was fantastic and you`re right across the street from the beach and a block down from all the boutique store, so fellas, your wife will appreciate that...2 blocks from wet willies and a ton of stores and restaurants....i'm booking there for WMC2012!!!! "The room was small but clean.. The staff was polite and welcoming.. We were out all day just had the room to sleep and shower basically. Its in the heart of south beach. Just a few blocks from Mangos and Wet willys and the beach right across the street. Cant beat that..
