"I would like to start off by saying that when booking this 'mistery room' I indicated there were two (female) guests staying and requested a room with double beds. When I arrived to the hotel, I found out that we were booked in a single king room. I was told that bookit booked us for a king room. There was no way to book a double bed at that time because the hotel was booked, AND if they did find one, we would have to pay an extra $35 plus tax per night. They put us on the 7th floor DIRECTLY above the construction taking place on the 6th floor. If you are looking for peace and quiet between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm, this is not the hotel for you. There was loud drilling and hammering going on. Also, there was a horrible mildew-like smell wreaking in both lobbies. The second day of the stay, there was fire alarm system testing going on for about 30 minutes!! Our room was cleaned, but we were not given any washcloths, which we had to call down to the unhelpful front desk staff to ask for. The same day, I purchased a drink from the lobby bar, which I had to give back because it had a BUG in it! The 3rd night, our room was not cleaned at all! We came back from our day long marathon event to an unmade bed, dirty towels that we had left on the floor along with our used washclothes for the cleaning staff to pick up. The trash was not emptied...NOTHING. I immediately called the front desk who informed me that the cleaning staff had went home for the day, but they could bring us more towels and washclothes. An hour went by, no towel no wash clothes. I called again, the concierge told me the same thing...'i'll have them sent right up'...Another hour went by..nothing. I am furious at this point. I call down and ask to speak to a manager. The person on the other end then asks 'how can i help you?' I informed them that I had called and been down to the lobby 4 times for towels and washclothes never received because the room wasnt cleaned. Finally someone came up after all of my fussing. About an hour after that person came, another person came at midnight to bring washcloths and towels. I'm not sure if there was a lack of communication? Language barriers? I'm not sure. The last day (check-out day) we were awakened at 8:00 am by the banging on the door from the cleaning lady who finally decided to come clean the room after 2 days! I told her no thank you. She obviously didnt see that we were checking out that day! I'm not sure how this hotel received a rating of 3.5 stars. I guess different people have different standards of living."

"When we finally got in the hotel was fine. We were given a 10th floor room with a view of Ocean Drive. We arrived at noon and did not get a room untill after 4 pm. It seems as though te desk staff new nothing about the Mystery deal. When we checked in they tried to put us in the cheapest room they had. We had copied the add from Bookit.com that showed we were supposed to be in a $530 per night room. They weanted us to wait fpr a room even though many gust checked in while we waited. Apparently they considered us requesting an upgrade. We finally pitched a fit nd got a room."

"Excellent mystery hotel, very clean n helpful staff, excellent location..... Be prepared to pay extra fees per nite ( $19 taxes for the use of Internet, in room coffee and beach towels/lounges) this is on top of the other extra taxes and city taxes you pay!
They also take $300 for room security..... Which is refunded back to your card, however this can take upto 10days to clear your card!

I would still recommend and stay at this hotel again!"

"Loved the art deco design, landscaping, amenities like the pool were wonderful. Room was clean, well equipped and the king-sized bed was comfortable... we had a great night's sleep. The location in the middle of South Beach and directly on the beach and beachwalk was perfect. Would definitely consider another reservation at this hotel."
