"The staff was courteous, accommodating, and friendly. The hotel overall is very dark, including the room. There was no lighting near the bed and the recessed lighting didn't allow enough light to read at night. The noise level is very loud. We had a door in our room to an adjoining room and we could hear every conversation and noise from the other room and from the hallway. The decor seems a little dated (sink in bath) and the quality of the work done in the building (painting and tile) were not well done and professional looking. The hotel is convenient to the beach. You need to get your beach towels early because they quickly run out of towels. Housekeeping was responsive when we needed something. Some people might think that getting good service during spring break is unreasonable, however, I have been in Miami multiple times during spring break and have had good experiences with hotels. If the noise level could be controlled a little better, I wouldn't mind re-visiting the hotel for a future visit."

"Well first this hotel was nothing like it looked online. The pool was tiny and the buildings surrounding the pool area looked really old. The lobby is beautiful but don't let that fool you. When my friends and I arrived at the hotel we were given our room on the fourth floor. The elevator is tiny, only like 3 people fit inside. When we got to our room, it wasn't anything spectacular. We realized that the lock in the room was broken so we had to go back downstairs to get our room changed. Our second room was on the first floor and it was a little better than the first one. It smelled a little funny, like old carpet. The room could've been a bit cleaner. It wasn't a horrible stay but I've experienced better. "

"First time in Miami for my boyfriend and I, and I think this was a pretty good hotel! I think the location is perfect! 2 blocks away from the beach and just a few blocks away from the clubs! I only had to catch a cab twice, everything is pretty much in walking distance! The rooms were kind of small but very clean! Housekeeping cleaned our rooms each day we were there and left fresh towels! I would say the only problem we had was when checking out they tried to charge me for a 4$ bottle of water that I didn't open! They tried saying there was 3 bottles of water and when they went in on friday there was only 2! But the entire time we were there, there was only 2 bottles even at the time of checkout! Needless to say try removed the 4$ from my charges..but overall it was a good hotel and I enjoyed my stay!"

"We arrived at the 'New' Clinton at 3am in the morning (flight delay) and were glad that check in was quick and easy. I was informed about a daily service fee for internet use and transportation to the airport. I thought this was reasonable and fair at the time. We didn't come to Miami to hang out in our rooms, however the basics one (at least I) expects from a hotel were not apparent here. The shower head provided no more than 3 drips of water (good luck getting sand off of you), one mirror oddly located across the toilet, terrible lighting (blue neon), housekeeping line was none existent, actually housekeeping was none existent because we only got service when we complained to front desk. My friends and i agreed that changing bed sheets and towels daily was a waste to the environment, but when we reused our towels to the point of exhaustion it was a mission to get a hold of someone to send replacements. Eventually front desk brought up raggedy beach towels and expected us to clean up with what we have been lugging around all over Miami. The only computer available was in the lobby, therefore we refrained from using it for lack of privacy and it turns out transportation to the hotel had restricted days and was not applicable to us. The bellman tried selling us club 'packages' which turned out to be free regardless (explains why we had to hold the doors and lug luggage inside and out for ourselves, he was busy elsewhere). Upon check out i got charged the daily service fee for Wednesday (didn't check in till Thursday because of flight delay). We booked this hotel because we were only looking to satisfy our basic needs, importunately they were not met; we were however charged for them."

"The hotel location is quite convenient, close to nearby shopping at attractions. The hotel itself provides the basics and not much else. There are 2 ice machines in the hotel, 1 of which was broken and the other was out of ice for half of my stay. The 'fitness facilities' consist of 2 broken treadmills, and a few other pieces of broken workout equipment. The free continental breakfast allows you either a coffee or tea plus a bagel or croissant. There is wireless internet provided in the hotel, included in the (approximate) $8/day 'resort fee.' The rooms are pretty barebones as well, small desk and coffee maker, iron, hair dryer in the bathroom, and basic (lower quality) linens.
The booking site mentioned free VIP club passes that were 'not available' when asked for at the desk. The pool at the hotel is quite small, and although 'cleaned daily,' I was afraid to use it.
A few good things about the hotel: The staff were very friendly and helpful in making recommendations on attractions and events. The hotel is located a few blocks from Lincoln Road Mall, South Pointe Park, and Collins Ave.

Overall, I would give this experience a 3, and I would likely not stay there again."
