The Shelborne was a beautiful hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff. The only issue we had was with restocking of items such as coffee, tea, cups, and wash cloths. The staff was quick to fix the problem once we brought it up to them.

An art deco beauty on South Beach - amazing views, on the ocean's doorstep, & a quick stroll to all the delights of Lincoln Road Mall. Most of the staff is terrific. A couple of odd things marked our stay - only one of them a true deal-breaker. As other reviewers have mentioned, the balcony was fine for a solo traveler, but if you're two people, you'll have to take turns. The elevator (only one worked for much of our stay) will greet you - every time - with a blaring hotel ad, which you wil... Read more

Honestly, you can't go wrong with this hotel. The staff were amazing, rooms great and location perfect. The only reason I give it 4 out of 5 is because I tried to call with a follow up question on my bill (I noticed my credit card got charged an extra $40 after I checked out and din't now why) and I couldn't get through to anyone nor did anyone call me back. Otherwise, my stay was perfect.

Upon arrival at the hotel we were told our room wouldn't be ready for a little while so we sat in the lobby to wait (this was around 3:45pm - check in is at 4pm). We didn't get a room assignment until about 4:45 which we were very upset about but they did compensate us by giving us an ocean view room and allowing us a late check out which was nice. The staff were nice and friendly. The hotel location is excellent - close to Ocean Dr and tons of restaurants, shopping, bars, etc. but, far enough ... Read more

We arrived and were received very nicely by the lovely Susie at the front desk. Check in was easy and the hotel was nice enough. Our room was never cleaned on our second day - when we arrived back to the hotel at around 7pm and noticed this, we called the front desk to inquire about lack of cleaning services. The woman who answered, Belina (sp?) was extremely condescending and rude. After making the manager, Lisette, aware of this, she proceeded to defend her and tell us nobody had ever made a ... The staff was courteous and professional but the Shelborne Wyndam South Beach is under going renovations. One elevator was not operating the majority of our stay 05/12-05/16 creating long wait times to exit any floor. We stayed on the 15th floor. Water from the shower ran out under the glass enclosure and on to the floor every time you took a shower. The door to the shower opened in front of the commode so close you had to turn sideways to enter the shower. The lock on the balcony door was broke... Read more

Checking in the place is beautiful. Valet and door man are all welcoming. During check in the process went smoothly. Rooms were beautiful pool and amenities all wonderful. I didn't like been hit with a daily $25 resort fee for water, tea, coffee, pool seating, and towels. I didn't receive housekeeping the first day. Called and inquired about it twice. The stay at the Shelborne was great. The renovation is wonderful. The room was small but well done. The price is good but they nickle and dime. The resort fee does not include the umbrella at the beach. The happy hour included one weird drink. So do not fall for the Happy hour trick. Go somewhere else. The restaurant and bar service sucks. The menu in the restaurant is a bit different. The short ribs were great, some of the Asia selection was not so good.

First off, the Shelborne is in a great location in South Beach. Walk out the back of the hotel and the beach is right there. They have staff on the beach to provide towels and setup the beach chair for you (don't forget to tip!) The room was modern and clean, with some unique touches. My in-law's room had a weird damp patch on the carpet near the closet. They didn't mind and it went away the next day, but still a questionable issue. We could not have been happier with our choice of the Shelborne. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to an ocean-front room with a balcony and given coupons for complimentary drinks and a beach umbrella. Used this hotel as the beginning of our road trip holiday - not wanting to spend too much money being jet lagged and settling in ..However loved the location and the chilled out vibe - could have stayed another night. Dj at the pool playing good easy listen to music made it a good place to relax. Would stay again - value for money !

I stayed here for the fourth of July weekend. On my first day there I headed to the pool. I was denied a lounge chair with an umbrella but was not given a reason. They just told me it wasn't available even though I saw half a dozen chairs empty. I fortunately found a lounge chair with shade, from a palm tree. Then I ordered lunch which came up to $75. Shortly after loud banging and drilling began as they were putting together a large stage for a pool party the next day. You would think that if y... Read more

We loved the hotel location and our ocean view room. However, we had to leave our drinks and walk away from the pool area after the dj started playing music full of profanity. Hotel is beautiful and I would stay again only if the music selection was more appropriate and the hotel staff provided 4.5 star service.

The shelborne is very nice after their recent renovation. It still maintains the classic south beach look with new elements. The rooms are nice but due to older windows feel kind of muggy. We had an ocean view room and it was a bit small. The plus side though was the service. We booked a couples massage at 11am and they extended our check out until 1pm as a courtesy. First time to the lovely Shelborne in Miami Beach! We were so grateful for an early check in. I enjoyed the pleasant staff in the pool area. Towels are lovely and plenty of seating. Hotel also provided beach chairs. We had a city view which was fine for one night. The room was quiet. Please note that all tips are included in your bill when dining in Miami Beach area. I was thrilled that we were going to stay here, as my grandparents were guests in the 1950's! We loved our room and small terrace. Every staff member that we were in contact with went out of their way to be kind and gracious. Beautiful vintage touches in the lobby and hallways. Very enjoyable stay!

Two night quick getaway, hotel voluntarily upgraded our room to ocean view upper floor. Excellent service, valet retrieved my glasses from our car, everyone went out of their way to be polite and helpful. Rooms are small but well decorated. We will return

Amazing rooms, views, beach, pool, location! Wonderful staff. Most didn't speak much English which is understandable but when someone tells you a meal will be 20 dollars and you get a bill for 200$ it ruins the mood. But when the staff are understanding and accept their mistakes things get resolved quickly. Great hotel

We had 14 of us come in to Miami for my 50th birthday and decided to stay at the Shelborne. All I can say is we all LOVED it!! We called a day or 2 ahead of time just to ask a few questions and my wife advised what we were celebrating. When we arrived, we found out they upgraded our room and the others in our party to oceanfront rooms with balconies. What a great surprise. From the check in with Maya to the bar/pool waiters and waitresses everyone was the best. We all were treated wonderful and ... Read more

The daily resort fee should not include harassment by other guests! This lady was rude over the lounge chairs she thought she owned. We were provided our seats per the hotel process where they prepare the towels for the lounges, etc. The woman came up and yelled at us and tossed my friend's shirt and phone off his chair and claimed these where her loungers. I even offered to move and she still was rude!. I've been at this hotel for several years now. I'm done. I do not recommend returning. And, ... Read more

Clean upon entry, but it stopped there. Room way to small. We had to request to have our room cleaned. Keys never worked. No coffee pot as promised in room. Location and beach ok. The pool deck very small.

really good location right on the beach/board walk. The hotel has a designated area (evidently, as each hotel there does) for their guests with chairs set up each day. Umbrellas per day were $15-20. The rooms were small but clean - art deco feel - w ocean view. I would stay there again.

This hotel was wonderful. Our room over looked the ocean and it was beautiful. Front desk manager Laura was so polite and was so eager to help us out with all our questions. She made our stay great. We will be back.

I was very pleased with my recent stay at the Shelborne Wyndam. It was very convenient to Lincoln Road, bus stops and the beach. Every employee was so kind and professional. I give it rave revues. The only complaint was the $25.00 per night resort, which I never knew was part of the deal. I never used the pool the 2 days I was there. I wish they would say up front. However I highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

We stayed at the Wyndham Grand -Miami Beach for two nights. We were on the 9th floor. Rooms were very small. Bathroom vent in the shower was dusty. Bathroom includes dryer, 1 bar of soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Room has mini bar with alcohol and snacks. Also comp water in the drawer. Our view was the city. Walked by the pool, looked nice and went to the ocean across the back. Make sure you have your key to get back in.

I was very satisfied with the hotel, but several things were not up to standards. The toilet paper holder was broke, the cold water faucet could be removed from the stem (not attached properly) and the safe could not be programed.

We enjoyed our stay at the Shelborne Wyndham on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. The hotel has been completely renovated and updated and has a nice modern vibe. Room was comfortable, bathroom large and modern and we got an upgrade to a partial ocean view just by asking. Our only complaint was that the bar area in the lobby was freezing and the pool was not heated. The staff was very pleasant and many of the guests were from other countries. The restaurant offers an unusual but delicious menu.... Read more

From entering with valet, doors being opened for you to a welcoming check in you know you are in for a treat. What a nice touch a welcoming on the TV with your name. Beautiful decor and pools. I only got a chance to spend one night but definitely will be back for a longer time.

The property is very nice and the beach amenities and service superb. A bit pricey though for food and incidentals. Room had some minor problems - problem with the TV and remote not working and missing desk chair which I needed to do my work.

I booked on the Wyndham Rewards site for 2 nights, I figured it's nice and close to the Cruise Terminal for our upcoming Cruise... Had I known ahead of time there were extra fees not covered by my Wyndham Rewards, I would have chose a different Hotel. The check in was fast and friendly, we were told upfront that there are "resort fees" and it's neither covered by Wyndham Rewards nor do I get any Wyndham Rewards for the expense... The room was clean and comfortable with an awesome view of the wa... Read more

Me and my partner stayed here for 4 nights in November 2016. We arrived around 5pm and they took our car ($40 to park), we checked in and it all ran smoothly, although she wanted to charge me $450 for damages, this didn't go through due to my credit limit, however the reception lady lowered it straight away. We got to our room and it was VERY dated, I was expecting it to be really glamorous and I was a little let down. The bathroom was gorgeous though. However, talking of the bathroom, the toil... I had a very bad experience with the housekeeping. I left my room for the entire day at 8 am and came back at 8pm. When I came back, my room had not been cleaned. I called housekeeping and they said that the door was double locked so they couldn't get in. What does that mean? Rooms can't be "double locked" from the outside, you just go out and close the door. Then they told me that not all keys worked on all doors so they just "couldn't get in". They sent someone to make up the room while I w... Read more

Got a good deal on this hotel through hotwire for a weekend trip. Location is fantastic. Right in most of the action, near tons of incredible restaurants and shopping and of course right on the beautiful beach itself. Room was okay, didn't get a view or balcony with mine but it was a cheaper one so can't complain. It was clean and had up to date amenities which was what mattered. Pool is nice. During the day they had a great DJ playing good music and it was a nice atmosphere. A lot of families w... Read more
