Hotels location is superb, everything is nearby, beach, shops, restaurants. Valet parking was handy as well. Rooms and hotel itself is a bit tired looking and needs to be renewed. For kids they have Sagamore club program - one free drink, snack and ice cream by the pool every day. Kids loved it.

Visited here for my birthday weekend (May 16th) Couldn't have asked for a better experience! The staff, super friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, clean and very modern. It would have been awesome if the balcony faced the ocean but the courtyard and pool was just as nice. Liked the music that was playing out there. Even met some other guests and made new friends from Chicago! s/o to the #midwest .. The location was superb and conveniently across the street from a gift shop, liquor... Read more

Stayed for three nights at the Sagamore, wanted to fit three girlfriends in one room and we were able to do so very comfortably in a suite - two double beds and a pull out couch with plenty of room to spare. We were easily able to get poolside and beachside chairs, but we were there on a quieter weekend I think. Staff were great all around, and you can't ask for a better location.

Every employee was smiling and very helpful. I stayed here in 2003(?), when it was just remodeled. They haven't kept up the polished image since then. The room was ok, with worn furniture, walls needing paint touch ups. Every other part of it was good. It gets only an average score because of the cost. I won't be returning for that price.

The location is perfect, on the beach in the heart of South Beach. Our accommodation was a spacious "Ocean Bungalow" with 2 levels, and was the perfect layout for traveling with our teenage son. The accommodation had 2 terraces with pleasant tropical garden views and an indirect view of the sea. The website calls it the "art hotel" but the place was devoid of art on our visit...lots of empty white walls. The hotel is showing signs of age, with worn furniture and damaged lamps. The bar, rest... Read more

This seems like what USED to be a great hotel. Needs many upgrades, and hotel does have signs up indicated that they are in the process of remodeling. In the meantime I would suggest not placing your customers in DATED rooms with dirty white leather furniture that peels all over and sticks to your skin from merely sitting on it. The floor in the room did not appear to have been mopped in a couple of days. The bathroom sink was missing a stopper, maid service seemed to take place at its leisur... Read more

So very disappointing. Pictures make it seem like a high end boutique hotel, when in fact it is run down and utterly disgusting. My wife and I were so disgusted that we let the hotel keep our money for most of the stay and then booked a room at another hotel. I remember coming here 10 years ago and it wasn't run down like it is now. Torn hallway carpeting. Our pleather couch was worn down and our balcony furniture was rusted. We reserved a beach side suite and had absolutely no view of the b... Read more

The room was nice but slightly outdated and not so fresh smelling. I definitely wish the pool was bigger, but we did not spend too much time there. We picked this place for proximity to the beach and that was spot on. TY was awesome. He was the employee who helped us set up our beach chairs and towels. Ty was super attentive and had a great attitude. It can be pretty grueling working in the sun all day but He always had a smile on his face and accommodated all our requests! Thanks Ty for making ... Also our room was taken care of quickly every day. Everyone was very attentive to us....love that there was food and drink service at the beach.

The Sagamore is an Art Deco type building sandwiched between other tall hotels. it had a minimalistic setting and seemed cold. We had a spacious suite with lounge, bedroom and bathroom. There werefacilities for self catering. The fridge and tables were stacked with drinks (hard and soft) to buy and lots of rubbish food to purchase. There were 2 tvs. Despite the spaciousness there was nowhere in the bathroom to hang a wet towel. Towelling dressing gowns were supplied but hanging them in the bath... Read more

I tried to capture the highlights in the title. If not for the furniture looking a bit worn (e.g. tears in the couch, some dents on the wood furniture) in the room, I would have rated the Sagamore as Excellent. If you have an affinity for boutique hotels, especially art hotels, like we do you will appreciate the hip vibe and art from the moment you walk up to the hotel. The art changes, like a modern art museum, which entices visitors to come back. The fellow at the front desk was friendly... Read more

Hotel is really nice. Lobby was contemporary and the room was nice. We had a bungalow suite that was 2 story with a circular staircase. Pretty neat except when you needed something from the other floor! There is a short walk to the beach out back and you get a chair and umbrella if you flash your room key. I'd stay there again definitely especially if I was going to the Fillmore (Jackie Gleason Theater). It is just a two minute walk up the street.

I have been a loyal customer for many years and it is disconcerting how the quality of the hotel has gone downhill in many ways. It's especially disappointing since my current stay is in one of their oceanfront rooms that is expensive. The details: - unlike prior years, there was no acknowledgement that I was a return customer. Normally I would get a bottle of wine or bowl of fruit. - The condition of the room was not worth paying between $300-400/night (which varied based on the night. The fur... Read more

we were able to walk everywhere and our rental car was a waste. We had a room by the pool that was 2 stories and much bigger than we expected at a reasonable value. the lobby and pool are hip and we enjoyed everything. the furniture in our room was alittle worn or we would have given it a 5 star. Only wish our weekend was here while we visited America and not in Washington or New York but its the way the travel agent sorted our trip. Cheers to Sandy at the pool bar!

We had a great stay at the Sagamore. We had a suite on the 4rd floor which was one of the most spacious suites I've ever stayed in. Everything was comfortable and clean. Some of the furniture was a little worn but all in all I feel we had great value for money. The staff is very friendly and helpful and gave us some great advice on where to eat. We loved the location, close to Ocean Drive, right on the beach and in a lively neighbourhood. We also enjoyed the pool. Drink prices are pretty steep b... Read more

Loved the area. The hotel was very nice and had cool art work throughout. Right on the beach and had a nice pool. The hotel is in need of some sprucing up. Kind of got old and just a little spruce up and I would have given it 5 stars. Service was excellent except the house cleaning could have been better although they were very nice. Prking is 39.95 a night but you really don't have a choice if you have a rented car.

We stayed at the hotel for one night. We were in a double suite. The suite had no kitchen accessories. No forks, spoons, knives, plates, pots ect. We have teens that are always hungry. I chose this hotel bc of the stove and fridge. The fridge was full of things to purchase. The kitchen had no cookware or silverware. The front desk did send the pots and everything we asked for but we forgot to request all the cookware we needed, so we couldn't cook. The hotel has lots of cool artwork, quotes on t... Read more

We had a nice large suite, but the décor and furniture [in particular] was in need of an update. The front of house staff were very nice and helpful. BE AWARE - you will have a huge addition to your bill of about £50 per night for parking and resort fees. Don't know what you get for resort fees!!! Hotel is well located for beach and local restaurants. Didn't eat in hotel. We found the hotel VERY NOISY on evenings when people eventually arrived back in the early hours. Location of this hotel on South Beach Miami couldn't be better. Direct access to the Beach and close to Lincoln Street, where many Restautants are located. It is situated just between the Ritz and Delano. 2 extremes. What a potential this hotel has! Price/quality is good. I assume that investors will further upgrade the hotel in the near future by enlarging the pool, update the interior, add some extra Floors, get a Great, cosy, stylish Restautant and make the bar more accessible and open.
