First impression I didn't like at all. The room didn't have a bar fridge and a nothing view from the window but I was tired and cranky from my 30 hour trip. Next morning I explored and found the surroundings delightful and well designed. The pool area was large with plenty of chairs and space for relaxing, it was always being cleaned for the guests. There is the quaintest beach bar as well with sand and hammocks for some fun and you can also sit at the tables to have cocktails and/or snacks... Read more

I arrived early and there were no rooms as yet. I waited for over an hour and when I came back and asked for a room, I was told they had sent me an email an hour ago, which I got as I was talking to him. I told him I was a Platinum member and maybe he could upgrade me. He did, to the corner Penthouse with a view of the ocean from each window. This is a fantastic place to stay. As an older chain hotel set on a tropical paradise it's a good value. Grounds are beautiful and relaxing. Hotel itself is older and less luxurious. But being a mile from the hot spots it's worth it to stay nearby and cab/Uber. Service was decent. All of Miami beach is expensive in general as parking is $32/36. Drinks and breakfast a couple bucks higher than on mainland. Boardwalk down beach is amazing! Bravo to city planners for building a walkway pulling it all together. Gorgeous views everywhe... I came to Miami with my mom to celebrate her birthday. Our accommodations were as specified, the front desk went out of their way to ensure we got the view we wanted. Even though there was a wedding party there, the noise level was nice. We had some issues with plumbing in our room but management was very professional and did their part to rectify the issue. On the corner (3windows) oceanside view. It was wonderful. I would advise the valet because parking can be a bit hectic so pay the extra $36/day (They hold extra $100 for expenses- it covers any charges to your room like, room service, Tiki bar and dining at paradise cafe). Because of a delay in our flight from NYC to Miami we arrived at 02.00 after midnight. The guy who took care of our car was not very supportive but the gentleman at the front desk gave us even at that time the treatment for our level at IHG club. The room was good and the bed gave us a good sleep. Short because we had to participate in a sight seeing tour from 08.45. Breakfast was okay but from the price point of view not too cheap. The not-so-great first...where you stop to unload/load your car with the valet at the front of the hotel is extremely small...and loading and unloading can become a kabuki dance if you are doing either when everyone else is. This hotel is showing its age, and was not up to the usual levels of cleanliness of the Holiday Inn chain. The bed and linens were average, the room smaller than usual. The bathtub drained slowly and was dirty as were the shower tiles. Building has an older ventilation system so fan really doesn't work to remove steam rapidly. Still some value here. Great access to beach. Staff friendly and eager to help ( thank you Juan- valet, Lourdes reservations and Rio- front desk). My suite was spacious and good value for location and $$. By location I mean Miami Beach in the vicinity of Fontainbleau . Pool small but adequate, outside grounds lush. Main concern was a musty smell in hallways and my room, popcorn ceiling said it all. Furniture outdated. My last IHG stay last month in San Juan P.R. was good but room updated. Plea... Read more

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and decided to eat in the hotel restaurant on the first night. Arrived at about 7:30 and was promptly shown to a table. Despite there only being 3 other couples dining we waited approximately 20 mins for a waiter/waitress to take our order. Nobody showed up so we simply left. Other than that all other staff were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy with the standard amenities but NO room safe. Fridges are rentable for $10 per day. Car parking ... Recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Oceanfront for one night before the cruise. The hotel is located directly on the beach. They have a nice pool and a walkway directly to the beach. We didn't get there until 2:00 PM so we didn't really take advantage of those facilities, however we did take advantage of the wonderful tiki bar in the back! Dan and the female bartender were super nice and we had a great time for the 4 hours that it was open. The room was spacious and clean. The couple that was tr... Read more

I booked a 2 double bed room through a website that said no hidden fees. I have never had problems booking other hotels with this site before but this hotel I did. They charged with a whole different price for the room so I have to wait to get refunded my money and when we got to check in, they also held more money for a deposit. Every hotel stated if they were going to hold a deposit and how much, holiday inn did not. Thankfully I knew better and had my credit card and didn't just carry cash. T... Read more

Stayed here for a quick one night stay for business. Looks like a place I would like to go back to - room was adequate and affordable. Lobby and grounds well maintained - very easy access to the beach. There is a "boardwalk" behind the hotel which is great for walking or jogging - also gives access to other hotels and restaurants. Can't beat the price.

After leaving our cruise we decided to spend a day at the beach before heading home and chose this hotel. We arrived at the hotel around 10am, we had requested an early check in time, but they told us we couldn't check in till 4pm. They told us we could use the pool and hang out the beach and they would text us when our rooms were ready. As we were checking in another lady was telling us to watch our bill because she was charged $300 more then they quoted her so we took a pic of the paper we sig... Read more

I had a terrible experience on valet parking . Almost lost my car , they didn't search and loaded the car with luggage and if I didn't scream the couple would left with my car. Very upset expected more. But as I said valet parking is terrible . The reservations and check out in front desk are super special.

Stayed 4 nights in holiday inn, the location is close to fontanbleu hotel and quieter side of the south beach, but with uber very easily travel to the heart of the south beach. The hotel itself very clean, the room a bit dated but again the cleaning stuff is wonderful. The pros the pool area is nice but did not swim int the pool, the valet parking staff is wonderful. The view is great. Now the big cons, the parking fee is 36 a day valet regular parking 32 across the street. The card continued ... Read more

The Holiday Inn is a decent hotel but the decor is a bit old. Right on the beach with easy access to the sea front walkway. However is a bit far from Ocean Drive, so not very close to the action. Not bad but for the price i paid, there are better places

The Holiday Inn is well and truly away from the main town centre. It's right on the beach, but if your intention to shop like we were, choose a hotel closer to town. The rooms were ordinary. No breakfast was included in our package. Free wi fi was. After a long flight we were looking forward to a snack. The dining room closes at 10.00pm. No room service. We went downstairs nothing around. My daughter managed to talk a lady who could speak English to make us some fries. Also if you're a tea ahol... Read more

This hotel on the beach is situated near the SOHO Hotel and near the Fountainbleu. It doesn't cost half as much to stay for the night and has many amenities. Impressive is the attitude of the staff, who are all amiable, highly functioning and courteous. The front desk handles all your requests promptly and efficiently and the wait staff and bellman are superb. you think you are in a 5 star hotel. The lobby is more than nice but not plush and they have a breakfast area and bar right in the lobby.... Read more
