"THE place to be. Better than the Clevelander because it is away from the noise, but only about 50 feet. Right around the corner. Essex is nicer and the suite rooms are great. Prime location."

"the Hotel is a 10. loved it The staff is hand picked, everyone is so friendly and accomodating. We also enjoyed selected staff - did a top notch job checking us out, giving us directions, etc. Valets, bell hope were all wonderful. this Hotel's location is primo. Our room #6 was large, new and comfortable, just perfect. I only have wonderful things to say about our stay, will return again and again and highly recommend it to others. Whoever manages this hotel is top notch. Thanks for a great trip."

"It was a pick that me and my wife did together. I am so glad that we chose the Essex House. The stay at the hotel was just great no problems with anything. Just one block from the beach and Ocean drive and close to everywhere, just walk out the hotel and you are in it. Just for info there is a place named David's Cafe just one block up the street that is open 24hrs. that serves American and Cuban food that is just great for those who like to eat early or very late. The hotel was very nice and comfortable. We had a standard room with queen bed (very comfortable) which was decent size, but if your in South Beach you dont stay in the room all day anyway. The hotel also has a very nice outdoor patio to sit out in. Great place and would reccommend it to anyone. If you have a car they do have valet parking which they charge you $ 29.00 dollars for everyday you are there which buy the way includes the tip according to the desk clerk which I asked. I thought it was all well worth it just tell the desk you want your car and they have it out front in usually just minutes."

"Overall My trip to South Beach Miami was awesome, the Hotel was good, very clean, very nice people but they made a 100$ hold on my credit card for each day I stayed at the Hotel which came up to 400$ for 4days. I have never had this done to me before and I have stayed at the Hotel previous times before. I found this to be very ridiculous and it's possible i will not stay here again due to this $ hold transaction. I can understand a hold of 100$ for the entire time you are at the Hotel but 100$ a day is ridiculous. That hold fee needs to change if they want people to recommend staying here."

"For the price there is no better hotel in south beach. Impeccable service and nice rooms. This is no W, but I'd certainly put this head to head with any 4 star hotel in Miami. Not even a 2 minute walk to the beach. Can't beat it for the price."
