"Very Nice hotel with friendly staff. This hotel is well worth the money paid, but the walls were Very thin and you could hear everything that was happening in the lobby which I was not happy with at all. The hot tub temperature need to be more hotter because it felt more like warm bath water. We kept our car parked and took a taxi where we needed to go due to crazy traffic and because the hotel is far from the South Beach activities, but the beach is right across the street which was nice. There is meter parking across the street from the hotel which is a lot cheaper than paying the $22 a day that the hotel charges. "

"This is probably going to be the best hotel you can find in the area.

There is a pricey restaurant in it but very accommodating staff and do what they can to try to be fair. The hotel was very quiet although one night we had obnoxious neighbors that woke us up at 2am. We complained to the front desk and they completely solved the problem and the guests were quiet afterward. Mostly it was always quiet and the guests were polite and considerate.

There are no other restaurants around in that area. You have to head south via car, taxi or bike to reach Ocean Drive where all the restaurants are- about 10 blocks. However, its worth it to stay here since the beach at 35th where Clairidge is quiet and you can find parking much easier. (We had a rental car.) However there are bikes you can rent across the st. from a vending service via ticket and machine. You will likely spend just as much on a taxi as you will a rental car and parking. It costs about 80 to 100 dollars each way for four people (20 per person) to get to and from FT. Lauderdale airport if you are taking a cab, bus or go car. Heads up: BOOK YOUR CAR AHEAD OF TIME- IT'S CHEAPER. There are no shuttle services for most hotels.

The hotel does have a hot tub which many people seemed to enjoy. They keep it clean but you have to turn it on yourself if you want to go in. They are very energy conservative.

I was in two different rooms during my stay. The first room which we shared with our friends was two double beds, no flat screen and a bathroom that was just fine.
No complaints about this room.

The second set of rooms had flat screens. Our friends had a bathroom where the sink was outside of it (which I actually liked better anyway). Ours had a handicapped shower with like no water pressure and only luke warm water. I'm 5'10 and it also was not tall enough for me to stand under. I had to shave my legs by putting each one up on the railings. --Needless to say I was not psyched about my second room's bathroom situation.

Overall, everything was great for the price. It was also well decorated and clean. The beach is just a block away and it's clean. We swam in the ocean every day for hours. Take spf 50-80 with you-- you will get burned. The water is crystal clear and warm. Even when the waves are large- it's extremely fun! Bring several bathing suits and a boogie board or something.

Be prepared to spend a fortune on food while you're down there. The best places to eat are:

NEWS CAFE- Ocean Drive & 12th
ESPANOLA WAY-ethnic
Tutto's Pizza (Inland)- get the burger-it's unmatched!!!

The shopping is very much like shopping in Bucks County, PA, Philadelphia, or NY. I hear Thomas Island in the keys is the place to go shop which is about 3 hours south of MIami Beach."
