Circa 39 was the perfect hotel for what I was looking for. It was small intimate and walking distance from the beach. The pool was quiet and the pool/bar service was on point. Although located on Collins it is far enough north to not be too loud and crazy at night. I would recommend staying here if you're looking for an intimate get away.

We stayed at the Circa 39 for 4 nights, the hotel was great, rooms excellent, service amazing, location in particular for us was perfect. We had the beach access in 1 very short block, the hotel has the advantage that included in the hotel fee has 2 beach chairs, which normally go for $25 dollars a day. Rooms are almost new, the Wonder Garden is great space. My only criticism was that our room was located in a hallway with some traffic, and I had to leave the shutters of the window closed (th... My fiancé & I were very excited about this hotel based on the online reviews, however unfortunately our experience wasn't reflective of the high ratings we saw. We were told as soon as we arrived the hotel was booked & there were only double full beds available even though a reservation was made & paid for in advance. The bed was terrible with no support whatsoever & caused us back pain, just shifting in bed during the night was painful to our backs. We were very disappointed & reported our bed... Read more

First, this place is super quaint and cute. Some of my biggest takeaways were: - Location was great, considering we had our 10 month old baby girl with us. No one treated us differently because we were there as a family. - Rooms were a little dim for me, but they were clean and decorated very nicely. - Loved the fact that we had a mini-fridge and freezer to hold our personal bottles of water, fruit and so on. - The rooms have shutters so you can "open" the windows for more light if you'd like... We stayed two days and one night. The staff was excellent. Hotel is clean and beautifully decorated. Beach across the street, bartender who makes an excellent drink :) Important *** To help with is located on the side street on the left hand side if you are facing the hotel. Price range is a great value for the area! Important *** Hotel appeared to have fire station bring ear plugs if you have trouble sleeping due to noise.

I am a frequent traveller (4-5 vacations a year) and believe me when I tell you, this is by far the most amazing hotel I've ever stayed in. Upon arriving at check in, we were greeted with such a personable service, and this continued throughout the holiday. We were given our room key and the hotel rooms are beautifully decorated in a boutique Art Deco type of way. The king size bed is comfortable with plenty of pillows. The bathroom comes with an impressive amount of Egyptian cotton towels. We... Read more

I loved this place! Beautiful decor, great food and drinks plus friendly staff! It's farther north on Miami so quieter but still close to everything you need. I had a queen room "over the bridge" which is much quieter. Love the pool and the courtyard. Will definitely come back soon!

We stayed at Circa 39 for a business meeting. The hotel was very clean. The furnishings and decor was very bright, comfortable, and welcoming. The rooms are rather small compared to modern standards. (This is one of the original Art Deco hotels; thus the rooms are the size expected in the 1930s.). The pool area is very inviting and secluded by vegetation. Two comfortable cabanas are near the pool. There is also a very relaxing courtyard between the original hotel and the addition. The dri... Read more

We did a little research before our weekend trip to Miami and we were debating if we should book El Confidant (formerly known as Thompson), or if I should go with Circa39. We have stayed at Thompson in the past and it was great, so I was a little reluctant to deviate and risk a subpar experience on the long awaited vacation. Well, we took the risk and it was well worth it. Sirca39 was wonderful. First things first, the property was recently renovated and everything looks fresh. I love the interi... Read more

Stayed here 3 nights in May 2016. Overall, it is an excellent choice on mid Miami Beach. We were hesitant at first because we don't typically stay at boutique hotels. The price was great though and we were on a budget. We went and looked at it before we booked and we were instantly pleased - it was very clean and bright. My fiend and I visited Miami beach during a one day layover, and we decided to book through an online booking agency that allows you to "name your own price." We got our bid, only to find out extra "hotel fees" would be added to our stay. In addition, parking was $26 a day!!!! Talk about hidden charges. And when we finally saw our room, we were shocked that this mediocre hotel is considered 3.5 stars. If that is true, then Holiday Inn should be at least 4.5 stars. Also, no breakfast included. I ... This small hotel is off the beaten path. North of all of the south beach action. Much more relaxing and an easy walk or taxi to the fun. The staff is top notch and the place is decorated with care and beautiful detail. Well this place is Swanky in the Best way. The room was Amazing. Really loved it. Had everything we needed for our stay and then some. It's $24 per day to park... didn't Love that but since we didn't want to try and find street parking it was worth it. I'm sorry to say that we didn't love Miami or Miami beach because of the Craziest drivers I have Ever seen. I mean, these people make NYC look like grand moms behind the wheel. It was a little too intense for us. I've driven all over the country... Read more

This hotel is nice if you not trying to spend a lot of money. The decor is nice and it smells nice. The room was no bigger than my bedroom at home but that wasn't a big deal since it was just the two of us with a queen bed. The resort fee was a surprise by my friend but he didn't read the fine print on Expedia which I saw so he was like hold on where that come from. The crazy fees are the breakfast for 26 dollars per person for a small lil buffet. The other high price is the parking for 20 doll... Read more

The Circa 39 is a great place to stay in Miami. The minute you enter the lobby the fresh smell will blow you away. Staff was awesome. Room was very clean. Food was delicious. Price was very fair. I highly recommend this place to all.

I spent about two weeks during September at circa 39 : only few words : as usually great experience !! Thanks to Mario, the hotel manager : he's very professional and friendly. Paolo, the concierge : great in solving problems..expecially about " rent a car"... As usually Carmen, the housekeeping, setting up our room very early in the morning as we like . thanks to all the Staff !! Eleonora

During our Florida roundtrip we've been two times in Circa39 Hotel - and we did nit came back because we did not like it... The opposite: It is nice located, short way to the marvellous beach, free beach chairs, clean but small room, nice, friendly and supporting staff - we cannot say anything bad about the Hotel. Only the parking fee is a little high.. ahh.. but it can't be perfect at all and that seems to be standard in Miami Beach. It is a charming place, go there.

Third stay here & it was not a charm. I am not one to write reviews but was very disappointed with accommodations & mostly with the attitude of the staff. All were very curt & inaccessible. Beach company used by hotel was horrible & rude. Hotel has lost all of it's charm & goodwill.

Hotel was clean tidy and very well kept, staff were friendly and helpful, pool and pool side was nice and hotel was 5 mins from the beach, which offered free sunbeds for hotel guests. Just one very slight negative, we found bar prices a bit steep and we needed a bus ride into town ($2.25) however that's was all. As we were there during hurricane Matthew hotel reassured us all would be OK, (as it happens it missed us by miles) would recommend it and would stay again.

We stayed here just one night after our cruise. Great location a block from the beach. Hotel provides beach towels and chairs as part of $14.95 daily resort fee. Staff is friendly. They let us check in like 5 hours early at no cost. Bar and restaurant are great. Pool is not huge, but very serene. Rooms have ice cold AC, vaulted ceilings, refrigerator, and very comfy bed. We heard a lot of banging here and there coming from above us, which is my only complaint-- not sure if there was HVAC or cons... Read more

I was over for wedding with my husband and two toddlers. On entering the room, we knew with the way the bed was setup up we would need a cot for my older son. We called the reception and the staff was very quick to bring us the cot with extra pillows and blankets. This hotel has a nice green area/courtyard that was perfect for the children to run around and exert their energy when we didn't feel like hitting the beach. It's also a nice walking distance to the beach and on a more quiet strip th... Read more
