The location of the Blue Moon was perfect for a 4 day stay in South Beach. It is a quick 3 minute walk to the beach, includes beach chairs right on the beach so no extra work for you! The hotel staff (Tony, Juan and Denise) were incredible. Dane the bartender made sure we were taken care of, checked on it us at the pool and was very nice to chat with. THE STAFF: is absolutely amazing! They were all extremely accomodating, kind and helpful. Robin at the front desk was the epitome of hospitable. They stored our stroller and carseat and didn't mind us needing to use them daily. They made perfect recommendations for dinner and made reservations on our behalf. THE LOCATION: perfect! Nice pool and Bar/restaurant area. The only thing I would check out is view ours was a wall but we live on the beach so didn't matter we were hardly in room anyway. Good room for the $.

This was my second stay here, the first was 2 years ago. Unique layout with decent amenities yet the fine details were lacking - window blind had broken slats, the toilet paper holder was coming off the wall, the shelf under the mirror was sagging forward and these are small issues but it indicates lack of attention to detail which was not the case when I stayed there 2 years ago. I've stayed at the Bluemoon multiple times on business travel. The staff is incredibly friendly, and were very accommodating with receiving a large number of packages that we needed for a training. The hotel is quaint, and one downside is that the rooms are fairly small and need some updating. It can also be noisy at night. But the benefits definitely outweigh any downsides. The hotel is just a block from the beach, and reasonably priced compared to others in the area. I will definitely stay her... Read more

We had a really nice experience at the Blue Moon Hotel for the one night we stayed in Miami Beach. It's in the heart of the area -- the beach and Ocean Drive is only one block away. We were only there to eat and drink and hang out in the South Beach area, so this was perfect for what we wanted. The room itself was adequate. Nothing out of the ordinary -- save for some cool art on the walls -- but was more than enough for what we needed and it's a real bargain for the price. The building features... Read more

I visited South Beach for a quick rest break in May. I enjoyed this classic Art Deco structure and walking the neighborhood. It is near Ocean Drive and the beach. It was a fun couple of days with much relaxation, no partying--although there was plenty of that going on. There was noise on the street in the night, but it was not overwhelming. I hope to take my family sometime. I think that they would enjoy seeing the area and eating at the restaurants.

We were welcomed with the complimentary glass(es) of champagne and whisked upstairs to our spacious room. Some slight confusion ensued, but no matter. We all had rooms that accommodated our bodies and belong... Read more

The blue moon is a gorgeous hotel with an extremely warm welcome. The location is ideal. So so glad we stayed here, especially after exploring the area. The main stretch is so easy to get to but way too loud for us. Can't imagine getting any sleep staying on Ocean Drive.

This Art Deco boutique hotel is old, circa 1940's, so has many quirks including a tiny old fashioned elevator which is manually operated with the old sliding doors. It just added to the hotels charm. We arrived around 9 a.m. expecting to leave our bags with the front desk, but we were welcomed by Victor who found us a suite as booked. If budget allows book a suite as it gives you more room. Nice living room, quiet bedroom with coffee machine and updated bathroom with excellent water pressure i... Read more

Will get the couple of good points out of the way first, location is ideal for the beach, art deco area and shops. Beds are very comfortable and bedding was clean and fresh. Now for the true overview of the hotel, we checked in , which was straight forward and taken to our room, it was tiny, room 215, when we got in the room the ceiling fan was on and very noisy, on closer inspection it was obviously faulty and someone had shoved some toilet paper or tissue in it to try and stop the noise. As it ... Read more

The hotel is so nice warm and welcoming .The rooms are clean and comfie. My mother is in a wheelchair the entire staff went above and beyond to help her EVERY time we came out of our room. The pool was a welcoming retreat. The pool is a bit small but it was plenty large enough for us and we enjoyed our time spent there. Juan and Deniese were so kind as were the rest of there staff. The kindness they showered my family with is so much appreciated..

Stayed at the Blue Moon from 9/27 - 10/3. On 9/28 there was a bad rainstorm and when I went to the closet on 9/29, my clothes and all contents of my purse were soaking wet. I took the wet clothes to the front desk and was told that the hotel would have them drycleaned free of charge or I could go to a laundry facility and bring back the receipt. I opted for the drycleaning. When I returned to my room, I further inspected my purse and the contents and everything was wet. I then returned to t... Read more

I stay at the Blue Moon whenever I come to Miami Beach. The staff and service at the hotel is excellent. Everyone is so friendly. I usually try to stay in the King Suite. The room is great, plenty of room to relax and unwind, have some friends for a cocktail, etc. Looking forward to my next stay in November. Be sure to check out happy hour at the bar nightly. Also the complimentary beach chairs are a nice touch as the hotel is not located directly on the beach.

My friends planned a vacation for my birthday weekend to Miami. Our stay at Blue Moon was a memorable experience. Marriott took over this hotel a few years ago and made a slight twist to the hotel. Check in was quick and easy. Itâ??s in a great location. Itâ??s about 20 mins away from MIA airport. The hotel was one block away from the beach. Even though, the hotel is in the middle of everything, there were no noise at night. Also, there were bikes available for the guest to use. We booked the ... Read more

We stayed at the Blue Moon 10/15-10/18. Arrived around 5 PM for check in and was greeted by Tony at the front desk. We were given room 236 and taken up to our room by the awesome bellhop (I forgot his name) The hotel itself was built in the 1920's but I wouldn't say it's old I thought of it as vintage and cozy. They have a nice bar and both bartenders we encountered were awesome. We had a regular queen room which we knew was on the small side but it was perfect for the two of us. There is a smal... This hotel is just a block away from Ocean Avenue which I think is perfect if you want to be in the center of the action yet not on a noisy, crowded street. The front desk staff and bartenders were among the best I've ever encountered. The pool is on the small side but looks adorable in the courtyard.

Stayed for a single night whilst on business and a great stay spoiled only by the failure of the in room WiFi. Check-in was easy and was offered a complimentary glass of champagne - rude not to accept. Having flown in direct from London we then showered/changed and hit the bar - great service. Room was different and great - I loved it - as I said, the in-room WiFi was down, but it was working in the lobby so that was fine. Free coffee in the room. The hotel was a bit of a rabbit warren in ter... Read more

The shower did not drain at at all well so I told the desk. Guess what? When I came back, the shower STILL didn't drain and there was a can of Drain Cleaner on a shelf. I was dumbfounded, frankly. I've done plenty of amateur plumbing but not on vacation. Still did not drain the next day (no response from the desk) and then the toilet began to run with what appeared to be rusty/muddy water. Good grief. This basic function of hotel service did not override the pleasant staff and good location.

Selected the hotel for the convenience of restaurant and beach. From the time that we checked in the staff took care of us. Tony, Alfredo, and Gaby were great. There were others but do not have their names. We will definitely be back and tell our friends.

Stayed for one night at the Blue Moon. We had read reports of the small rooms but we had a Marriott gift card so booked a suite. Being South Beach the property is a little older but the decor was very nice and we had a good experience. Our suite on the 3rd floor had separate living area and bedroom. It was not huge but was fine for our stay. Best thing about the property is the location. One block away from Ocean Drive, close to Mango's Tropical Cafe and the Clevelander bars. Our stay was... Stayed here for a week with my family. The room we got was very small, we were three on a king sized bed: works for a couple of days but was a bit clausthrophobic in the last days. Service was either great or disapponting depending on who was there: somedays they had really nice and friendly workers and others I wish I hadn't lived thereat all. We were also told we would get two beach chairs and an umbrella AT The check-in but when we got to the beach we had to pay $15 extra for The umbrella. T... Read more

We just spent one night at The Blue Moon and honestly, based on our stay 3 stars was a gift. First of all, we had a horrible time trying to get to the hotel due to a bad wreck shutting down the road and a bad Uber driver. NOT Blue Moon's fault but they were aware of us spending several extra stressful hours trying to get there. Did they say anything kind to us during check in? No. I even asked the hostess if she was the one I had called and she said yes but still did not say anything to welcome ... Read more

Excelent location. Staff was really helpful, pleasant and friendly. Everything was very clean. Rooms were a bit small, but we knew that from the moment we booked the place... for that location and price it is hard to find bigger rooms. Best choice price-quality. We were a big family who stayed for three nights and felt very comfortable. Recommended to all types of travelers.

If you have not yet discovered Marriott's Autograph properties this would be the place to start and it embodies everything about the brand that we love - unique, chill and creative. Carlos Media at the small zen poolside patio just guided us through the most stunning breakfast and was so wonderful, ask for him!

Great location, a block away from Ocean Drive. Good value but keep in mind it is an old building and a boutique hotel. If you're used to four star hotels with all the amenities, this is not the place for you. The pool and patio are very small, the staff tries their best and are friendly but they are not top notch. The rooms are small and in pretty good condition but noisy because of the traffic on Collins. Any issues we had with the room were dealt with promptly. I loved the old architectu... Read more

Stayed here for our first trip to Miami & South Beach. The excellent guest service began as soon as we pulled up in our rental car. The valet was very welcoming and on the ball. This is a great boutique hotel! It has it all. The lobby is small but convenient. The desk staff is so friendly and helpful. The bar is right off the lobby and made for a fun place to have a coffee, cocktail, etc., any time of day. And the staff there was fabulous! Breakfast was big and delicious with the added delight of being able sit outside or in. There is a small pool outside, too, which is perfect for a cooling dip.
