The property is well maintained & the rooms are newly renovated. It has an ideal waterfront location & is convenient to most places in the Keys. (Key West is less than an hour away). There is a nice pool area with a tiki bar adjacent. I wouldn't recommend the tiki bar. The best part about it is the view. The food is mediocre & overpriced & they don't serve alcohol. We found many good restaurants in Marathon worth going to. Although it's convenient I would certainly recommend going out to eat/dri... Read more

We had a great trip. We wish we could have stayed another night. The deco was clean and contemporary. We had a one bedroom with a pull out couch. It was plenty big enough for the four of us. We didn't eat or drink at Barnacle Barney's Tiki Bar. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner. The pool is heated and there us a hot tub. The kids had a blast at the pool. There is a water sports rental place next to the pool area. There are iguanas wondering all around. Which is pretty cool. The staff is nice... Read more

This is a very nice place to stay but cooperate Blue Green should be ashamed of what they are giving the diligent staff to work with. Oh they push their staff for renewals and upgrades but there is nothing to show for the money owners have invested except a really nice hotel like condo. Curb appeal from the main highway needs re-visiting - not just a high sign on a pole saying Blue Green and the lobby needs the aquarium updated - poor thing has one lonely fish in a area know for tropical reefs... Hammocks is what you expect in a keys location, except the amenities are well kept and the building nicely updated. The tiki bar area is remodeled and the food is good. bring in your fresh catch and they will cook it up for you. You don't need to go anywhere really. need a charter, its on site. want to kayak, jet ski, rent a boat? it's all right here. The staff is professional and very accommodating.

Booked 11 months in advance and get a room with no view of water or anything but the back fence and garden shed. Microwave was attached to a surge protector and kept blowing as we tried to use. You had better take a shower early because you will get no hot water. Room was decent size is all I can say for this location. This is not what I expected from a time share.

Stayed during memorial weekend, I was a bit concerned about the lack of amenities for kids, however this turned out to be one our best vacations. The resort was small enough to enjoy each other and meet new people! The sunset was awesome , we didn't eat at the tiki bar, but I had a mixed drink...it could have used a bit more liquor, but the waitress was very nice and we sat while the kids enjoyed the pool. It's nice to watch the fisherman clean their catch and feed the persistent seagulls! The ... Read more

This Bluegreen property is what the keys are about. Great drinks, sunsets, and relaxation. A smaller property but does not lack in character. There is a small pool and hammocks. Iguanas and lobsters are plentiful. You can rent a boat or fishing rods. There is boat parking and you can go on a fishing trip.

Rooms , facilities, Staff , location and ammenities are IMO better than the star rating on site. Time share travel is not for every one so be aware this is not a place where sheets are changed daily . However such a bargain if you can get a reservation. 1000 Pts per night . There is a boat rental on sight as well as deep sea charter fishing option The bar is great and be ready for Trivia at the pool

We enjoyed our stay at The Hammocks! It was a different kind of vacation, since we are used to the pristine white beaches around the panhandle. The kitchen is very tight on space, so I wouldn't plan to cook too often. Not every room has a view, but there are great views with a quick walk down by the pool area. The staff here is WONDERFUL though. We were told at check in to let them take care of us and they do a GREAT job!!! The resort is also centrally located, so Key West is only about an hour... I absolutely love this place! This was my second time staying here and it keeps getting better! The beds are super comfortable, as is the pullout couch if you need to use it! The staff was just incredibly nice. The pier out by the pool is a great place to see the sea life, including tarpon, lobsters, crabs, parrot fish, and many others. (I even saw a nurse shark!) the resort gets even more beautiful at sunset and if your lucky you'll be able to see a pod of dolphins too!

This is our first time at The Hammocks at Marathon. The rooms were very modern and the view from our room was great. The pool was never overly crowded and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. It is only an hour drive to Key West. We will be back for sure!

This was out first time to the Keys and it certainly was a memorable one thanks to The Hammocks through Blue/Green. Upon arrival, the exterior looked nice and well kept. Upon entrance, there was a beautiful and soothing tropical scent the had and it just took away the stresses. The building can be a bit awkward at first. There are two sets of elevators. For example, if you lived in 210 you would have to take several corners around the hallways to get to your elevator. Once you get settled, it is... Read more

This is a great place to visit if you like the Keys. It's just right before the Seven Mile Bridge and the lower keys. Close enough for a visit, but far enough away to avoid the congestion and chaos of Key West. I love sitting pool side on the late afternoon and hearing life music at the Tiki Bar. It's also a great place to view the sunset as shown by the photos taken from the Tiki Bar. I don't recommend the studio unless you are comfortable with always eating out during your stay. The Hamm... We are BlueGreen owners so we stay here every time we go to Marathon. We love that it is a smaller property than the big hotel chains. It does not have a beach but it does have a nice pool/hot tub area, Tiki Bar/Restaurant next to the pool, a marina and a dock for fishing boats. Most of the rooms have a water view. The rooms are newly updated.

We absolutely love this place. We have stayed here twice and both times it was a good experience. The condo was beautiful and spacious. The staff were all nice and helpful. We enjoyed the iguanas that live in the trees by the bait shop. The outside bar and restaurant was awesome too. It is also convenient to beautiful beaches and Key West. We highly recommend this place. We will certainly go back again and again.

We have stayed at The Hammocks a couple of times. It has roomy suites with complete kitchens. My favorite part is how clean and well kept they are. It has a pool, hot tub, and exercise room. A tiki bar is on the premises which is so convenient and a marina is also right there for many water related rental needs. The staff is nice and accommodating.

This was an amazing place to visit. Everything was clean and new and tastefully decorated. There is a free washer and dryer on each floor so you don't have to pack as many clothes. The grills and picnic area are very nice. The pool is clean and refreshing and there is a tiki bar at the back of the resort overlooking the water. Just don't feed the iguanas!

Nice but food at tiki bar was less than acceptable. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. Most of service people were very nice. View was beautiful and rooms were quiet. The accommodations have apparently been updated judging from other reviews. Not much to see or do on this island unless you like to fish.

We spent the first two weeks of August at The Hammocks. The resort is relatively small, but very clean and nicely kept. The two-bedroom villa we had was nicely furnished and well-stocked. The layout of the kitchen didn't leave much counter space, but everything else you need is there. The pool is very nice, and a tiki bar sits right next to it. The menu is small but the food is decent. Best of all the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. They will do their very best to make you happy. W... Read more

We found the location to be fantastic and the staff at the resort were some of the best we have seen. We had a room that had a great view and enjoyed our stay overall very much. A great location in Marathon. We exchanged here from RCI. Our condo faced a small green area and a fence. No water or pool view. We were lucky, no parking lot view! The condo's are very large (one bedroom), nice kitchen and extra large bath. Everything looked new. You can have fresh towels and trash anytime you call. Nice. Lots of good parking. There is a resort fee. $76.00

Friends asked me not to review this place, so that others don't find it. Blue Green deserves a shout out for this one, though. The Hammocks is a quiet spot to wind down. The resort is small, only about 50 rooms. The pool is adequate with Nice hot tub. The tiki bar is pleasant with pretty good food, although not always well stocked. The atmosphere is slow and relaxed.
