The hotel the small beach front hotel, Oceanside room are great with outstanding views, The hotel does not offer room service, but a rather novel idea of leaving your dirty towels and a list of your room requirements outside your room which is replenished daily. Using this method it leaves the guest the task of keeping their accommodation tidy, the advantage us privacy with no access by cleaning staff. It seems to work well, but as a one off. There is always residue water from Air Condition unit... Read more

My wife and I booked a room for 3 nights for a mini vacation with our 8 month old daughter. The hotel was located in walking distance to the boardwalk and was also perfectly on the beach. The hotel itself is a bit older, but the room was nice and the staff was very friendly. Our only complaint was that the guests next door to us were extremely loud all night long (3:00 a.m.) for 2 of the 3 nights. I couldn't sleep because it sounded like they were in our room. I think it was because the rooms ... Read more

It was just as advertised. Clean. We managed to get beachfront on very short notice. The office staff was amazing. Very close to John's Pass and plenty of restaurants. My single complaint was the mattress-it was hard and squeaky. We both have bad backs and I'm pregnant and this made for 2 bad night's sleep.

Getting here is so easy. The staff are awesome, very friendly. The outside doesn't actually look much but the rooms are absolutely stunning. We had a little balcony of our own overlooking the pool, you also have a small kitchette with utensils, plates and glasses ect.You can pay extra for the beach view.Speaking of which the beach is literally behind this place a stones throw away. Zero complaints from us. You also have John's pass just a five minute walk and lots of places to eat and drink close by. ... Read more

We were booked in at the Barefoot Beach Hotel for a week in late August 2016, actually more of an apartment rental than a hotel (no room service/daily housekeeping). We arrived late afternoon and first impressions were not great: The outside felt tired and not quite what we were expecting (although Iâ??ve no idea what I was expecting) so thatâ??s not their fault. However, parking the car was easy, the chap at reception was lovely, welcoming and helpful (reception even managed to find us a kettle... Read more

Stayed here twice now and it's a fantastic place to stay. Right on the beach only steps away. Rooms were very clean and staff were great. It's only about a 2 min walk over to Johs pass where there are some lovely restaurants, bars and shops.

This is our third stay in the Barefoot Beach Hotel. Spotlessly clean rooms, friendly staff, nice pool, step right onto the pristine beach with a very short walk to the beach. Fantastic views of the sea. We saw dolphins swimming in the sea while we were sitting on our balcony. Close to the amenities of St Johns Pass. We will be coming back every year.

Three of us ladies just happened upon this place. I happened upon the phone number and called to check on availability for the night. The person that answered the phone was so polite and cheerful I couldn't say no... We pulled in, signed in, and didn't want to leave the next morning! This is such a quaint place. Very quiet, family oriented, and close to everything! The beds were good. Even the pull out. Most of those you can't sleep on! We will be back very soon!!

A+ Rating/ Usually I don't review a hotel until the end of the stay. The hotel is updated, but not over the top. It feels like your part ownship feeling. The rooms have a beaches feeling and your on the beach. Convenient location to the famous John Pass Village & gulf of Mexico beaches. (Wow) King size bed and small kitchen and living space with bolony facing the pool.

This place is unbelievable. I was a little leery to book such an old property. Was I ever glad I did. This place is a retro motel, but it is much more than a motel. Yes, it has outdoor entry, but that's where the motel ends. This property has been updated, but without losing its charm. The property is small, but offers a lot. We had a room with a king bed. You walked into the room and there was the bedroom with a tv. Off the hall was the bathroom with a wonderful powerful shower. ... Read more

This is the second time we have stayed at Barefoot Beach and it was even more relaxing than last time. We previously came in April 2015 and it was quite busy. Having just been in September we practically had the place to ourselves. We were late for check in so they leave your key in a box for you and we sorted the rest out the day after. Cindy who was on reception the next day was very helpful and very welcoming. Car parking can get a bit tight under the hotel (bit like a garage) but there is ... Read more

Nice hotel right on the beach. Small room segregated with a kitchenette area containing a coffee pot, small refrigerator and microwave. Enuf to brew a pot of coffee in the a.m. Beach side rooms have small balconies, good to enjoy the ocean from your room. There are unit air conditioners that work, but tend to blow directly on the bed. They make a big deal out of the fact that they don't disturb your room, you put your towels in a basket out front if you need fresh. This also means they don'... Read more

just had 2 nights here as part of a road trip and wanted to visit johns pass. the hotel is quite small, which i refer, some rooms face the beach and some the pool, ours faced the pool which was nice but means it's nearer the road too so some traffic noise can be heard early in the morning. we had a king room, which has a seperate lounge, ok for 2 people and balcony. the lady cindy, is very nice and put a bottle of wine in our room after hearing it was our anniversary. she also forwarded o... This hotel is a quaint & clean hotel with everything you need to make your stay here comfortable! Our room this time was ocean front, what a view! The beach in front of hotel is wide open and lots of beach! It's the quieter part of the beach! We walked to John's pass for dinner (5 min walk). I definitely will return!

When I booked this reservation, I wasn't sure how it would go. It was a very pleasant surprise! The staff in the office were friendly and helpful. The building is not your typical hotel, but rather a building on stilts, right on the beach! The view from our second floor studio was amazing. The little galley was well equipped with a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker plus dishes and utensils. It's an older building but appears well cared for and was very clean. We walked a couple of blocks ... Read more

The hotel is pretty dated, but is pretty clean. The picture of the pool is a bit deceiving-smaller than expected, and not ocean front. No maids clean during your stay, they supply a basket to place your dirty towels in and instruct you to place them in the hallway before 9:30 am in order to get clean ones. On the upside, the view of the gulf is wonderful, and the beach is very nice! I'd consider staying here again if my trip was a short one!

Not the newest hotel but got the 5 rating because of the total experience. Our goal was to find a nice place with a beach view at a reasonable rate. This was exactly what we were looking for. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Studio apartment on top floor faced the beach with fantastic balcony views of sunrise and sunset. Walk out of the elevator and you're literally "at the beach". Room wasn't overly fancy but was clean and comfortable. Was walking distance to John's Pass...barely 5 mi... Read more

We fell in love with the Barefoot Beach Resort a few years ago. Quiet yet fully functional suite with a nice pool. The best part is the white sand private beach. We are lucky enough to be back this year for a couple of days. I recommend to all. Very relaxing stay.

We got just one night to stay over while we attended the Johns Pass Seafood festival but we will definitely be back! Not a posh resort but clean, really good sized rooms with sitting area and mini kitchen. Had a poolside room which actually had a partial Gulf view so that was an added benefit. Walk right out the back of the hotel to the beach, all the shops and restaurants of Johns Pass just about two blocks away-great location for beach getaway! My sister and our husbands just stayed here for a week. We had the 2-bedroom suite facing the ocean and it was beautiful. Room was clean, well stocked and the view was to die for. We visited Johns Pass and I think we ate at almost every restaurant there. The weather couldn't have been any nicer and the people at the hotel and the area were very nice and helpful. Suites facing the ocean are wonderful. The staff does not enter your room, you leave a basket w/dirty linens and a list of items you ... Read more

Great place to stay for the price, clean and comfortable. Love the location to John's Pass with all the shops and awesome places to eat! Just steps away from soft white sands. Easy parking. Check in was very quick and easy. I almost forgot, I loved the laundry room, great place to hang! There's a tv in there, ice machine, a couple comfy chairs..... we had snacks and drinks, watching tv and our clothes! That was cool! 2 bucks per load. Bring lots of quarters!

Nice smallish, modern, and quite clean place right on the beach. Had a little kitchenette. Easy walk to John's Pass Boardwalk and other eateries. Only buts - our sofa was grungy and strangely the toilet paper rolls stank, can't imagine why.

This is the second year we have stayed in an ocean front room. The hotel has direct access to the beach (not just a path) located on a more residential than commercial area of Gulf Blvd. The rooms are nothing fancy, but modern and very clean. We were there during the seafood festival and the attendants made sure we had a parking place on property. The check-in was fast and easy and the staff is friendly. My family of three stayed for 4 days. The room was great, clean, and we loved the kitchenette. The hotel was quiet for the most part. Great ocean view. The only drawback was that the wheelchair accessible room was not that accessible. The roll in shower was very narrow and the water flowed down into the rest of the bathroom creating a huge mess on the floor. There was hardly standing room on either side of the bed, so no room for someone in a wheelchair to roll up to the bed. We had to push the ... Read more
