Bougainvillea suite was awesome! Laid back, no issues, very clean, and magnificent sunsets!!!! This is the Keys, folks! Had a great stay!!!!! The property is beautiful, the pool was small, but clean. I read some reviews that weren't great, pay no attention, and book the bougainvillea suite! Better than the pics!!!!!

Traveling with my 2 adult children. Celebrating daughter's graduation from college. Spent 4 nights at Lime Tree Bay Resort before continuing on to Key West. Perfect weather. Only one nice restaurant on Long Key ,so we did grocery shopping on mainland. Lime Tree is not a luxury resort, so adjust your expectation to Florida Keys comfortable. Our accommodations had 2 bedrooms , one bath, kitchen and great room. Had to ask front desk for kitchenware which they provided quickly. Private 2nd floor bal... Read more

The room was clean and comfortable. Great shower and for us, that is a must. The pool is really small and the access to the sea doesn't have beach. We had a good time because it was only one night, there is no way we could spend one more day in the hotel. The restaurant next door is great for lunch and dinner. The breakfast that the hotel offers in the same place is awful. You can buy breakfast and that one is good

This "resort" was a disappointment for us. Our Deluxe Waterfront room (120) was neither waterfront or deluxe. The very pleasant front desk clerk offered upgrade is for free, which was much appreciated, however we couldn't move immediately and spent one night in the first room. The pool (advertised two pools but only had one on the property map) was tiny, dirty and in need of repair. The area is isolated, highway adjacent so somewhat noisy, and the bay it sits on was extremely smelly. Cont... Read more

We've stayed here numerous times as its always suited us perfectly. Of late, we've found they are moving away from the quaint, personable, tropical haven we'd come to expect. Our last stay may have been the last straw. The addition of the restaurant is great and the two story building with an elevator near the road is nice. The updates to the original structures and interiors are welcome improvements. However, the young man who handled our booking made suggestions for alternative accommodation... Read more

We have stayed at this resort in the past in the town homes and they have steadily been on the decline. We tried to stay again as we went on a family trip and we were again totally disappointed in the service, accommodations, and upkeep of the properties. The town homes are three bedroom three bath and suited for up to 6 people. There were not enough plates, glasses, or silverware for our party. The refrigerator leaked. The stove top was chipped. No cookware. It was a disaster for our first ni... Read more

This resort has nice grounds and our room was clean and had great views of the water. We had fun snorkeling just off the property and hanging out in the hammocks. The downside is its closeness to the road, but being there in May, the road traffic wasn't bad at all.

I'd like to start this review by stating that I have stayed at this hotel in the past, October 2013, and it was a fantastic experience. This is the reason that I selected to stay there again when planning a family trip to the Keys. This trip was rather disappointing. I reserved a king bedroom suite on the main property, located on the first floor of the property for my parents and the Captain Herbie Suite for myself. Having stayed at the hotel previously, I knew that the rooms ran on the sma... Read more

We found the resort online and took a chance that it would be nice. The pictures on their website almost exactly reflect what you see when you get there. Room was beautiful, clean, large. We had a king bed with a kitchenette - microwave and small frig. Just enough to make lattes in the morning. Also a blender to make frozen drinks at night. Restaurant on property was fantastic. Very authentic Italian. Continental breakfast in the morning is included - toasters took forever to toast bage... Read more

Wonderful Resort right on the water. Our room was very nice, a first floor unit in a building that had two stories and about eight units. Our building was away from the road enough that we did not hear any noise from traffic. Tile floors, windows on both sides, fridge, and microwave. The pool was above ground with a large deck. Many chairs around the grounds so you can see the sunset. They let you borrow paddle boards and kayaks for free. There is a boat rental right next door. The free breakfas... Read more

Husband and I stayed here for a few days in late May 2016. Location was excellent for Key hopping. The kitchenette convenient, bed super comfy, and sunset views awesome. As with most areas of the Keys, no big sandy beach, but free use of kayaks, paddleboards, bikes was nice. Saw manatees and nurse shark while paddleboarding and kayaking. Free breakfast was basic continental, but very adequate. Lime Tree Bay Beach Resort is what I think of when I think Florida Keys. Friendly, cute kitschy, and ... Read more

Room was large, but the air conditioning was loud and there were small ants. The View was incredible and it was awesome having free access to the kayaks and paddleboards. For a 3 start hotel it was nicer than expected. Pretty clean for the most part. Excellent customer service. Housekeeper was great! Breakfast is served next door, the continental is decent. I would recommend that over spending my money at the restaurant. Location is beautiful and I liked it because you are pretty much in the middle of all the other keys. We spent two nights here and took advantage of everything it had to offer. We had one of the Hemingway Rooms. Overlooking the water made for a great sunset view! We used the kayaks, pool, reclined on a hammock on the sandy beach, and took advantage of the continental breakfast. The unit had a microwave, dishware, and a mini frig. It was well maintained and the private balcony made for a great spot to catch our breath in between activities!

We traveled with a group of 5 and rented a townhouse on the canal and what an amazing experience! The service at the front desk were so nice and pleasant. The home is extremely spacious - we had more room than we needed! Everything was incredibly clean and felt new, the bedrooms were all big, each bedroom had it's own bathroom and there was a separate indoor living area with a dining table and balcony. Booked this place without knowing too much about it. So glad we did. The rooms were clean although a bit small, nice amenities included free Kayak and paddle board (and Bikes!) use. We were able to snorkel right off of the pier and spent a few wonderful days just chilling. Small beach are had hammocks and chairs perfect for watching the sunset. Staff was friendly and helpful, recommended a great place for dinner as well. I will definitely stay again.

You would never know it by looking from the main road, but this Resort and property is almost perfect for the Keys. It is exactly what you would hope to find. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We had a very nice and relaxing stay. The town house is perfect for 3 couples. Definitely worth it. However, the "breakfast included" is just bagels and pastries.
