"We had a few issues: A 3' cockroach in the hotel room, no toilet paper in the bathrooms, and housekeeping on a 'green' schedule that the hotel seemed to not be able to get a handle on. The pool and the slide were great, we just wished that any of the hot tub jets actually worked. The pool staff said they had been broken for quite some time. Shula's restaurant was awsome!"

"This was our first family vacation. Wanted to experience all the perks staying in a disney resort comes with, so we chose Disney Swan and Dolphin resort.
We stayed in the Dolphin resort. After reading past reviews, we knew that we were given 2 bottles of water per room, per day. We had stayed there 6 nights. We are people that didn't want housekeeping, so maybe it was that fact, that we didn't receive out daily bottles of water. After notifing front desk, they kept giving us the run-around. First it was they ran out, then it was the housekeeping fault. We were apologized for not receiveing what was ours. We'd expect what we'd pay for. Finally on the 4th night of our stay, we were only given 4 bottles of water. We decided to just leave it be and just take what we got.

We are a bit annoyed at the fact that the daily hotel cost came with use of the gym, it was under renovation during our stay, and we were still billed for.
Still don't understand why we were billed for internet connection fees, local calls, and some other items when we didn't even use them.

Also, we had asked front desk for the quickest way to Magic kingdom from the hotel, and was told to take the ferry to a nearby park and then take the bus from there. The morning of, we had asked another person at front desk and then was told there was a direct bus right at the hotel, which made it so much easier.

The other thing was that we had notified front desk of a broken lamp, and it was never fixed during our stay.

The bathroom is a little outdated.... could be better.
Overall the resort is very nice. Transportation is very convenient to all the parks."

"My 2 children and myself stayed at the Dolphin for 8 days in August. We had a great time! The hotel was very clean. Bathroom a little small, but how much time do you really spend in your bathroom. The food was a little expensive. The only thing I did not care for was the elevator was so far away from the room.
I would recommend this hotel and I would return! Keep up the good work!!!"

"Hotel was in walking distance to EPCOT which was PERFECT! Upon check in they told me they were upgrading me but the room was just a regular room - didn't seem any different than what I had booked. We also decided to go the character breakfast and was less than impressed. For it being a Disney Resort I feel like they could do much better with the food they offer."

"The resort was beautiful but I can't really say it was that much better than a Holiday Inn or a Best Western. The lobby was fancier and the food/restaurants on the location were Very high priced, but the room we had, itself, was just about the same. The room was nothing to write home to mother about. There was no microwave and our refrigerator was not working. I reported it right away to the front desk and they said they'd replace it immediately, but it was never done. We didn't spend much time in the room with all the parks we were visiting, so I didn't report it again. I received a Really good rate for the room, however, so that helped comfort me. And we Loved the free shuttles to the different parks and the extended park hours. The hotel outside pools were absolutely beautiful. I thought it was nice there was a laundry room available, although we never used it. Would we return to this resort or recommend it to a friend? Well yes, maybe, if we could find these good rates again. I think the benefit of the free shuttles and the extended park hours made up for the negatives. But, I think I would recommend bringing a cooler full of your own food to avoid the high prices of the hotels restaurants."

Super friendly and helpful staff - got my daughter balloons and had an activity set up for the kids at the check in location to keep them busy.

You get free parking if you chose to drive to the parks - jsut show them your room key and you get in for free.

If you stay here you get extra Disney Park Magic Hours (three extra hours which in itself is worth it to have that extra time when it's not hot and crowded!!)

You do have to pay for parking - it's added to the room charges - and the upfront spots are taken no matter the time of day!
You also pay for the two waters in the room so drink them!! it's also included per day
There is no continental or free breakfast at all

Tip - when eating breakfast or lunch at most of these restaurants you can split an entree between two adults and one kid and be just fine - they give you so much food here and I hate to waste and overpsend!!!

This was a great deal considering the rooms were neat and clean and the location was perfect. Staff was very considerate and nice. I plan to return next year for certain and this is where I will stay."

"Our stay was overall very good. We had a couple of issues that was very disappointing. First our refridgerator did not work, which we found out in late evening (10pm) the staff said someone would be right up to check out and at midnight when no one showed we called to have checked in morning. Next day we went to parks and got back around 4pm and still no one came to check out the refridgerator, we called front desk again and they said it wasn't their job and may be the next day, when asked for manager then they were up in less than 10 minutes with new refridgerator. Second issue was also with night shift giving us the run around about issue with an arcade machine malfunctioning, again had to get high level management involved. Issues did get resolved but took time, resources, and persistance which should never happen with the money being spent on this resort. Need to better train night shift to handle and resolve issues that arise"

The age of the hotel is starting to show. We had to take a room with a sofa and they never gave us linens for it. The pools are not heated. It was freezing! There is a parking fee every time you leave and come back with your car. We thought there is only one daily fee but they charge you every entry to hotel. One morning we had breakfast in one of the restaurants in the hotel and I almost took all the food back how expensive it was. We are very disappointed with the whole experience and we won't be going there again :( "

"The hotel was a great destination for our family trip to Disney. We are local (live outside of Tampa) but wanted somewhere on Disney property to stay. The Hotel was clean, well equipped, and the rate we got was great value for money. There was a great selection of restaurants - from less expensive, family oriented through to fine dining - to chose from. Transport to the theme parks was frequent , convenient and reliable. The pool, gym etc were all very impressive. All around we could not have been more pleased. Will be returning."

"The hotel was overpriced for the size of the room.We have stayed at other Disney properties and this hotel is starting to show it's age.For the amount that the company is charging it's kind of ridiculous to pay a 'resort fee'-meaning you pay it whether you use the pool,gym or not.The staff as usual are very professional but for the price that they charge we'd rather stay at other properties."

"The hotel was wonderful. Beautiful resort(s), well maintained, VERY convenient to Epcot and Hollywood. We loved pool area. Our only regret was not reserving the room with a view of the Epcot fireworks. Check-in was a little rough. Our attendant didn't go over all the charges (note: you will pay an additional $14 tax for wireless internet...it's NOT an option!). Huge bonus for families with young toddlers: you can request a crib. Not a pack n play, but an actual portacrib. It made such a difference for our comfort! Restaurants were expensive, but on par with the rest of Disney. Highly recommend the sushi restaurant in the Swan...they even accommodated our kids by ordering pizza through room service for us! I highly recommend this resort! Deluxe Disney resort for an Economy price!"

"I prepaid a room with balcony and 'lake view'. I also requested higher floor. I got there at 3pm (check-in time) and had to wait for an hour and forty minutes for the room to be ready. I got a second floor room with pool view right at the corner of the building with the least possible view. I got free breakfast for two for three days for free as compensation. I booked for 5 people and paid $150 for the extra person. We went up to the room and there was no bed for the fifth person. I went back to reception and asked about it, they said they have to charge $25/day for it. I said I already paid and then we got the extra bed a half hour later. The amenities and the staff were nice. I can recommend it to others since everyone can have different experiences but I will not go back to this hotel. At the $300 mark per night there are better options, I stayed at a number of hotels there. They also charge $15 resort fee and $15 parking fee per day and the charge for internet and gym is also too high."

"We requested a King size room and were told they only had a handicap accessible available. The other rooms were blocked for longer staying guests. We stayed two nights. The room was right by the elevator and LOUD all night long with the elevator ringing and people talking outside the door waiting for the elevator. Restaurants in hotel were very expensive."

"I LOVED this hotel. We knew nothing about it. Not only was the VALUE great, the resort was great. They upgraded us twice to a bigger room without even charging us. The rooms were clean, and beautiful. You can see the fireworks from Epcot and Hollywood Studios. It's close to the resorts so you can take the boat, drive, or catch a bus into the parks. This hotel made our vacation a mindless one. We didn't have to think about anything except where we wanted to go to dinner! I will come back and stay at this resort again! Also the Disney Extra Magic hours make this hotel complete! Great hotel for Kids, Great hotel for just Adults traveling. This really is the perfect hotel for any age group. Very classy and HIGHLY recommended!! Thanks again!! "
