We just returned from a trip to Walt Disney World and stayed at the Swan for the first time. We were underwhelmed. It is certainly a convenient location, but as DVC members generally anticipate a higher quality visit. I'm not a fan of the architecture of the hotels. I know that much has been said about them good and bad, just my opinion, but that's not really the problem. They just remodeled the rooms and the hallways and rooms are still SO sad and dated. I'm confident they were trying to stay ... Read more

It was great having access to the park so easily; walk, boat, shuttle! The staff was MAGNIFICENT and went above and beyond to ensure that our bachelorette party thoroughly enjoyed ourself (in an adult manner... we are not the rowdy group). Great pool, bar staff, loved it!

This Starwood properly is an easy walk or take the boat to the International Gateway entrance. We stayed at the Dolphin and had a room with a balcony to see the Epcot fireworks. Numerous restaurants between both the Swan and Dolphin with room charge privileges at both properties. The biggest negative is the number of conferences that use both sites, so be prepared for large numbers of guests at all times. The rooms were quite comfortable but you almost need a map just to navigate the hotel! P... Read more

For the right person is better than staying at some of the property hotels. This place is huge, if you are not type to use the hotel a lot during a Disney Vacation this is place for you. The pool is basic, rooms are nice and clean. This is all about location. The hotel is usually over run with business guests (which is fine, it is a great business hotel) but the location cannot be beat. It has amazing views of Hollywood Studios and a nice walk to Disney Boardwalk. What I love about this hotel is... Read more

We were lucky enough to be guests of the Walt Disney World Swan in may; a picture of my wife riding Splash Mountain (Angry Splash Mountain Lady) went viral earlier this year, and Visit Orlando, the official board of tourism for Orlando, brought our entire family back down to Orlando and to Walt Disney World to have us enjoy ourselves and take a picture on Splash Mountain, this time with me riding with her! Is the hotel a little outdated? Yes. Does it need a face lift in a bad way? Yes. BUT the lobby is very nice (and smells amazing), the customer service was great and check in was a breeze, the bars and restaurants are fantastic and updated. The rooms are all kept very clean, they have plenty of space and the the beds were comfortable. Although through the years there have been a few hiccups..the overall visits have been wonderful...and any small problems were taken care of with a smile. Not this time. We stayed at the Dolphin from May 29 - 31. It actually started with making the reservation...very abrupt.. a stay or do not stay attitude.. until a supervisor made it right. In 2015 we stayed at The Swan and this year, we stayed at The Dolphin. Both Disney World trips were packages we booked through Costco. The hotels are in various stages of remodeling, but we were not inconvenienced at all. This year we upgraded to one of the newly remodeled rooms. We love these two hotels because of the location and ease of using the Disney transportation system. We were delighted with the Picabo Restaurant on the Dolphin property. This hotel is in a nice location, walking distance to the boardwalk and Epcot. But the customer service is terrible - you pay the price of The Four Seasons, but get the customer service of a Motel 6. From the Disney desk, to the front desk, to the coffee station. No one goes out of their way. I lost my magic band in the park and was looking for a little help. We had a large king suite and the view was horrible, we thoroughly enjoyed the view of all the HVAC and exterior wall. The shower was old and had a bad leek. This hotel needs a revamp and it us nit a cheap hotel. The best thing about this hotel is the boat access to EPCOT. It is clean but things are starting to look a little tired. Also there was some sort of buzzing in our room during the night which was not good. It may have been the air conditioners. We love being able to walk or take a boat ride to Epcot. So this place was just right! Nicely appointed, clean rooms that were just renovated. They don't have all the hidden Mickeys of the rest of the Disney properties. But pretty quiet. We were only there for about 15 hours so we didn't explore much. They do have a counter for tickets. This hotel has been a traditional convention business hotel since its creation and a good one. Unfortunately it is time for an update. The rooms need updating and the food service could improve. Good, but expensive for what you get. This may be on the Disney property, but is not owned or run by Disney. If you are planning on a family vacation then some of the Disney properties would be more appropriate if you have young children.

Thin connector door with loud neighbors. Unfortunately front desk manager will not move our room even though we offered to take a downgrade. We spent about 25 nights here last year and have over 50 Starwood nights this year already and this is the first time I've ever asked to move rooms. We were given a two room suite that was very comfortable with a view of the lake and nightly fireworks. It's a 10-15 minute walk to Epcot from the hotel or you can take the boat shuttles. You are also less than 5 minutes from the boardwalk that is set up with restaurants, shops and at night a few bar carts.

That was definitely pretty nice especially considering that you could see the fireworks from Epcot and Hollywood studios from the rooms. On the negative side it is VERY expensive -from the food, to the amenities, to the parking- but wh... Read more

We stayed in a lower priced room and it was quite average. Was disappointed with the bathroom cleanliness which is never acceptable. The expansive lobby is nice to hang out in and the grounds are nice to walk around. The pool is great and the shallow depth make it good for kids. The pool restaurant should be avoided though. Just grab something at picabu and take it outside. The shuttles to the Disney parks are great and boardwalk Disney is a medium walk away. Need to add that the interior layout... Read more

The Hotels (Swan and Dolphin) are contiguous and offer the luxury and convenience for families who want to make the most of a trip to Disneyworld and other attractions nearby. It is pricey yet worth staying there, budget permitting. The services and decor are consistent with similar vacation hotels. We chose it for the enjoyment of my niece and her son visiting Florida for the first time. They were both delighted and impressed by what the resort had to offer. An unforgettable experience for Fre... Read more

When you pay a premium price, you expect a premium experience. This hotel does not deliver. Attended a four day conference at the Dolphin and could not wait to leave. While the room was newly renovated and the bed very comfortable - the hotel is inconvenient and sub par. Issues include understaffing of desk and maintenance personnel leading to long waits for check-in, check-out ( at 4am) and service calls. Very spread out layout for rooms, conference center and recreation. The only hotel info ... Read more

We have stayed many times at the Swan and the Dolphin. (The Swan's rooms have just been renovated, the Dolphin's rooms are undergoing a renovation process) This particular stay at the Swan was exceptional. On booking a room the night before, I mentioned that my husband and I were belatedly celebrating my birthday with a one night stay, and if possible, would love a room with a balcony for fresh air and on a higher floor for quiet and view. When we arrived to check in, the management team de... Read more

My daughter was participating in Dance the World at DisneyWorld and we stayed here for 5 nights. I liked this hotel. It was clean, staff were friendly, beds were very comfortable. We were at The Swan, but we were able to use the facilities of The Dolphin as well. The pool was beautiful and we enjoyed it very much. I was pleased to find out that it was an SPG hotel so I ended up getting points for the things that I charged to the room. Restaurant choices were good, but could have used a quic... Read more

Just spent 9 days at this hotel, have stayed here before so knew what to expect. Service excellent, great restaurant facilities as you can also use Dolphin hotel. Pool area great and a couple of minutes walking to Boardwalk, Epcot and Hollywood studios. Dolphin hotel more geared for conference gatherings so staying at Swan hotel better.

Arrived here with 900 colleagues and then abilities, food and staff were excellent. Rooms are spacious, but a little dated. Onsite Restaurants are excellent but quite expensive. Finally, choice of pools and gyms are great to relax in down time
