"The customer service was totally unacceptable....as we were standing at the front desk the person was on the phone (and it was obviously personal) and kept us waiting there. We also had a problem with our room key and they kept telling us it was fine and we'd go back to the 17th floor only to find the key wasn't working. Went back down and someone came back up with us and it was a miracle it worked, staff was very, very frustrating to work with....it was a horrific experience!!!"

"The room was good with no surprises. The breakfast was disappointing.. .felt like a bait and switch. Fake fruit looked like bananas, whole oranges, whole apples were available.. .but it was plastic. Yummy looking donuts were also plastic with no donuts available. Not even bagels were available half the mornings. The staff pushed for the hot buffet upgrade each day and looked disapproving when we declined.. ..every day!"

"This is the 2nd time I'm coming back to this hotel. The first time is was not bad at all. So I chose to return. This time around. OMG !! What a difference !!!! The staff is NOT friendly at all. It was like someone die or something !! Did NOT bother asking how were things !!! They just don't seem to care what so ever. 1st the heating/cooling system doesn't work. When the repair guy came to fix it and when he open up the roof and a bucket worth of water came down. He was very apologetic but don't seems to bother keeping up the maintenance. 2nd the TV after like 10 mins watching TV the channel just AUTOMATICALLY change back to the hotel channel where it explain the hotel and tell you to press the menu. 3rd The amount of channels were cut, as if they cut off the budget. When I told the staff they just didn't want to be bother and said oh properly just the box that switches the channel. Did not bother to offer to have it fixed, until you ask them so can it be fixed then he said I'll send someone up tomorrow. The person never came, stay until 1430 and no one show then we finally just have to go out. Overall the experience, was just horrible. I'll never go back to this hotel and will NOT recommend this hotel to anyone."

"Def good value for price. Buses were timely and drivers courteous, and for such a busy week it was a plus to be the 1st pickup on their route. A touch far to walk w/ small children to downtown Disney, but the slight upgrade to resort view for the fireworks was worth the extra $20/night. Plus not to pay for parking or continental breakfast was a highlight, although I don't understand the daily resort fee of $10/day. I see that all the hotels have it, but doesn't exactly clarify the charge. All in all, nice accommodations for the price minded traveler."

"the room was not that bad, it needs a few renovations especially the bathroom, you have to wait for a few minutes until the water gets warmer,there is no lock in the bathroom door which is odd, there are a few stains in the sink, and the bathtub seems to be clogged it takes forever for the water to go down the drain. if you're looking for a good quality food or drinks go to downtown disney which is just 10mins away from the hotel if you walk instead of buying overprice food and drinks from the hotel. you have to wait an hour or so for your ride back to the hotel, Magic Kingdom in particular other than that STAFF ARE FRIENDLY."

"The hotel was excellent..only some issues.
It was very very clean. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast for free was very good too. You had the choice to upgrade from Continental breakfast to full breakfast. The only difference was that you got some warm breakfast items (I'm German, I don't eat warm).
The ladies on the desk were really nice and gave us a lot of tips for our stay. You also get a coupons book.
But the guest service tricked us, which made me really upset. We asked about the Disney tickets and they told us, we should by them from the hotel because we avoid the line at the parks and they have the same price. That was a lie. We paid 50 bucks more, which we could have spend on gifts or souvenirs. Therefore it was two weekends after Thanksgiving which meant that there were not a lot of people, because kids had school. So there were no real lines.
The second thing is that the AC is so unbelievable loud. I'm not kidding. I live in NJ and I woke up in the middle of the night and thought the hurricane was back.
But overall the hotel is really good. Free shuttles to all Disney parks every half an hour and to the outlets two times a day.
If you don't ask the guest service for tickets and loud AC doesn't bother you, it's perfect...for families and for guests without kids."

"We were so happy with our trip that we extended it for a day by booking at a different hotel. Best Western sounded good because it was in Lake Buena Vista. Lobby was clean and nice but I was dissapointed in the linens and towels. They did not seem clean even though I knew that they had been washed. I think a few dollars into making the room a little more attractive would pay for itself in no time.

"The room was okay, was clean. Bath was somewhat rundown, shower didn't work right. I also didn't like the extra 9.95 per night for fees. Food is expensive downstairs. If you ride the bus to the parks, when they pick you up in the evening, they go to 2 or 3 other parks before you get back to the hotel. It took about an hour and a half to get from magic kingdom to the hotel."

"This hotel has been around for a while. Check-in and out was timely and pleasant. I had requested a room with a view, and landed on the 11th floor with a great view of much of Disney world. We had a great view of epcot and magic kingdom fireworks. I loved having a balcony. The room was very spacious with a couch, cocktail table,computer desk and chair, also had a separate area outside the bathroom. It had free wi-fi and free shuttles to the parks every half hour. A free continetal breakfast was include each of our 2 day stay. We were able to sit in the buffet room and could have anything offered in the cold food area along with fresh OJ and coffee carafe. Plenty of good choices of cereals, muffins, bagels, danish, and great offerings of fruit. I think it was a good deal.. The hair dryer was marginal, It also had a coffee pot. Plenty of towels etc. The shower controls were a little sensitive but with adjustments worked and had plenty of hot h20"

have to pay such a fee - after all, we had paid for our 3 day stay

"This hotel was good, we are a young couple with a two year old son. some of the reviews i previoulsy read were correct. Here are a few things i found odd. The bathroom had no lock on the door, the shower had no 'hot' water, warm water yes, but if you wanted the warm water you had to sacrifice water pressure. Breakfast was pretty brutal, but as expensive as everthing else is, a free breakfast is better than nothing. Considering your paying a resort fee i think they could do some upgrading, maybe a hot tub? And a better kiddie pool.Cleaning ladies need some reminders, one day our room wasnt cleaned, had to call and ask for it to be done, and when it was cleaned my son managed to find garbage behind the couch from the previous people. We were lucky to get a few nice employees who gave us some good advice, dont buy your disney tickets through the guest services counter, they are 10$ /ticket cheaper through the lobbys disney store. Overall we would stay here again, we watched fireworks from our balcony, shuttels were great, we walked to the grocery store and downtown disney. Staff for the most part were friendly. You will never be completely happy with everything, so pick your battles."

"Overall this was not a bad hotel but just remember that you will get what you pay for. The room cleaning was hit and miss. Some days good / some days bad. Some clues here were the remote being made up in the bed (would seem hard to do if you stripped the sheets and truly remade the bed). Also had a food stain on the blanket that remained for days.
Sometimes the ice bucket was emptied, sometimes not. Found a garbage can on the table without a liner on one day. Sometimes we got new cups sometimes not. It is what it is.
Staff in some cases was friendly but the front desk personelle at night not always .
There is a wierd little deal here with pizza - just follow me here. When you get in your room there is a printed placard explaining that flyers will be left under you door from some local italian food restaurants that deliver. The information claims that the hotel does not endorse these restaurant and proceeds to claim that they aren't even sure they exist and that deliveries were unpredictable and quality was poor. Normally (in our experience) local deliveries from outside vendors is not an issue for hotels - in fact they often list other restaurants in the area that deliver to the hotel within the hotels own literature. I 'smell' some protection of thier Pizza Hut express franchise (located in the hotel). It just seemed a little 'class less'. Our experience with the Pizza Hut was that it was overpriced (especially compared to the value on the flyer that DID appear under our door) and they weren't even able to deliver on their very basic menu (many items not available - 'Sorry we are out of that').
They have a couple wierd policies that we were not used to relative to securing your incidental charges with a credit card. We used our bank card at checkin which serves as both debit and credit. Have used that card all over the world and never had an issue or any confusion about it serving as a credit card for incidentals but this hotel seemed challenged by the debit aspect. When I called to order room service they told me I needed to pay with credit or cash. I inquired why I couldn't charge to my room. They said I didn't have a credit card on file. Called the front desk - 'what's the deal?' Was told that they could switch it to a credit card (same card) but that they would have to charge me in $50.00 increments. They seemed VERY reluctant to do this. Front desk said 'they don't do that as standard because people got upset when they held funds on their account'.
This could simply be the level of hotel and corresponding clientelle (people working on a tigher budget) that created this policy. Typically we stay at larger chain hotels and this is never even a question but frankly I don't pay attention to what they 'secure' on my account for incidentals.
Just something to be aware of.
In general this hotel was simply 'Best Western' typical. No better / no worse. For the price it was fine. Don't expect frills or anything too spectacular. It was a little run down but access to the parks was good and overall we were not disappointed but our expectations were low."

Our housekeeping team take great pride in their duties and I will pass these comments on to them so they can get this corrected immediately. The pizza flyers have become a nuisance in many different ways. First of all the pure amount of companies that try to put flyers in rooms, and second the validity of the actual companies. In the past we have had some guests that experienced a scam capturing credit card information and never delivering the product promised. This has been a problem in the Orlando area for years and we do our best to make sure that our guests aren't misled. You are completely right concerning our Debit card policy we have had many complaints about additional funds being held which has forced us to create this policy, however at any point if anyone wishes to attach their credit card it can be done very easily. We are consistently making upgrades to our property so I hope next time you are in the area you will consider giving us another try. Let us show you we are better than your initial experience. "'Free Continental breakfast is a joke. Breakfast voucher is only worth $3; need to add another $5-6 in order to enjoy complete breakfast buffet - which was quite yummy. Bathroom needed work - difficult to turn on bathtub faucet, toilet leaked, poor lighting. Comfortable bed, clean & ample room for 2, enjoyed balcony and view, reasonably priced for location. "Exceeded our expectations. We spent less than half we always paid in a value-priced Disney hotel for a nicer, bigger room with our own balcony on the 16th floor, free internet in the room, continental breakfast and food credit. The shuttles to the parks were efficient and at very convenient times. The staff was as friendly, helpful and professional as those from Disney's hotels (which we always rated at the highest!). Being South Florida residents, we are very happy we found this hotel and we'll definitely book it from now on. And when they found out it was my birthday they went out of their way and waived some fees without even asking!"

"Everything went very well. the only exception was that the shuttles to Downtown Disney don't start running until 6 pm at night. We had to walk when we went in the morning. It's about a 15 minute walk. That was fine for me but it tired out my 72 yr old mother."

"My daughter and I stayed here August 11-15th we enjoyed it so much that we stayed an extra day. Our room was very big and clean. We tried all breakfast options and ordered room service. The staff was polite and friendly. Our bell capt was very effecient. We left our bags because we arrrived early. He cared for them and got us settled when we returned later in the day. the transportation from the hotel was very good also. We used their taxi service and the shuttle. Quite happy would go there again. On the negitive side, the business center charged 25 cents a minute to use internet and the hotel cleaning staff was a little noisy before 9am."

"We stayed at this hotel from August 3-9, 2012, and even though I felt that the service I received on the phone prior to arriving was poor, the service once we arrived was wonderful. Be aware that the free breakfast is only for two people, even if you booked 4 people, like we did.
We ate a total of 3 times there at the restuarant, the gratutity is already added and I think that some of the wait staff take advantage of this and disappear, especially when I needed a drink refill. The food was good enough and I would book with them again."

"I don't know what these other reviewers are talking about! This hotel was wonderful! My wife and i stood there 7 days each better than the next. CLEAN, QUIET, FRIENDLY!! 4 elevators all working and fast. Free breakfast was continental, bagels, danish, etc, not the best but good! Free shuttle bus every 30 minutes first to get picked up first to be dropped off never crowded last pick up 2 hours after parks close! pool area clean plenty of chars. bar was good, good drinks and prices. did not eat in restaurant but prices were reasonable. lobby clean with plenty of seating while you wait for shuttle bus. plenty of on site parking. nice balcony. king sized bed comfy. sofa, chair, ottoman, table and desk with office chair in room. House keeping staff nice, very helpful to my wife. Front desk nice. small grocery store in lobby well stocked with all your needs and very friendly. The only gripes, THE LIGHTING IN THE ROOM IS VERY DIM, HARD FOR WIFE TO PUT ON MAKE UP, HARD FOR ME TO SHAVE, HARD TO READ BROCHURES. NO MINI FRIDGE WHEN YOU ASK IT A 10 DOLLAR PER DAY CHARGE! NO MICROWAVE. OVERALL A NICE HOTEL WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN."

"I had a very enjoyable experience here. We arrived at 1:30 and the staff let us check into our room without an early checkin fee. The staff was happy to switch us to a room with a king size bed at no extra charge. We had no issues with the elevator wait times all three days that we were there. The food was not spectacular. But being on the Disney bus route was great. Buses run every 30 min. Never had to wait very long for one. Overall I was very pleased. I would reccomend this hotel and I would definitely stay here again."

"When we arrived to check in at 3pm, our room was not ready for us. after waiting 40 minutes with 2 cranky babies, they finally gave us a different room. They had one elevator not working, and the wait for an elevator was average of 10 minutes. On checkout day we waited 25 minutes to be able to board an elevator due to overcrowding, and the service people taking up the elevators with their cleaning carts etc..They refreshed our room daily, but threw away used soap and did not replace..The staff was unfriendly, except in the restaurant/bar area, they were exceptional, and the only pleasant part of our stay."

"We chose this hotel to bookend our trip to Disneyworld. We made a mistake. The room we were given on the night we arrived smelled like someone had sprayed an entire can of cheap air freshener to cover up the natural stale odor of the room. The air condiditoner was really loud and it looked like the room hadn't been vaccuumed in weeks. The pool water was off and actually made my son sick. If you do stay here please do not let young children swim in the pool, there is a sign stating that the water is recirculated and not to swallow it, but kids don't always follow that rule.
The second night the room was better, but still not great. the breakfast was a joke. The only redeeming quality was the night staff at the desk. We dealt with the same gentleman both nights and he was very nice."

The only problem we had was late night food being ordered, one night (only one item, because my daughter was hungry) waited a loooong time, ended up leaving without any food. Others ordered after and received food. Other than that we had a good experience."

"We had a blast. We come to Disney often and own timeshare in Orlando, but decided to stay a little closer to Downtown Disney and experience taking a shuttle versus driving to the park and parking.
We loved the hotel. It was very cozy.
My favorite was in the diner downstairs, the director (Thomas) and a waiter (Moe) were so sweet to my kids. My girls are not your normal, quiet kids, but they made us feel so comfortable. They remembered us from the breakfast the morning before and were so nice. When our 5 year old told them that we were there for Gigi's birthday to see Mickey Mouse and that she would be turning 3, they went off to the kitchen and brought her back a slice of carrot cake and sung her Happy Birthday.
Thats why I will come back!

"We arrived a little late however was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming lobby. Front desk staff are not friendly and appear to be all business. If it wasn't for the restaurant staff we wouldn't have had as nice a stay as we did. The first day we found a roach on the little ledge across from the closet. Killed it and threw it into the toliet. Second day, someone was smoking in one of the rooms close to us, because you can smell the smoke as if it was outside the bathroom door. Went downstairs to let the front desk know, they didn't seem interested but didn't smell smoke again. When we opened the small door where we thought the mini fridge would be, it was empty. On the second day, my four year old said something to the manager while we were eating breakfast and he had someone bring one up to our room. The best part of the stay was the restaurant staff. As the days went on, the staff changed however all the restaurant staff were awesome, friendly and very talkative especially to our little talkative four year. The breakfast buffet is great with a wide variety of breakfast foods including fruit and omlettes. Oh and the Mickey waffles were the hit with our four year old."

"our family vacation to Disney was not pleasant because of our stay in this hotel we get there very late first impression the lobby look good and the Night auditor name Onio was very nice, however when we get to the room 1511 the tub was leaking, the first towel my wife took from the tower rack was a lot of hair on it i took a picture of it unfortunately you do not have an attachment option to add this picture for you to see it, the next morning I saw the towel to front desk and I spoke to a lades I thing she's a manager and do not remember her name, until the end of our stay on one call us to apologize for the problem, the breakfast lades was very mean and not courtesy at all, I booked a taxi for the airport for 4 am and the driver came at 4:30 am, because that me miss our fly, we stayed in the airport from 5 am to 4:h30 to have a fly to New York this vacation was a nightmare for us "

"Arrived late 10:30 pm, 1st thing I do at hotels is pull back linens and check for bed bugs. Congratulations NONE found, however the sheets were filthy! Dark smudges from someone who obviously went to bed without bathing, wrinkled sheets and traces of hair...Ugh! The bed had only been re-made from the previous guest. I stripped the bed and checked the other one. No smudges but definitely more hair in between the sheets. Upon stripping this bed, there was 2 fitted sheets which leads me to believe when one gets dirty, they simply remove one and leave the other. After calling the front desk and waiting over an hour, my husband took the dirty sheets down to the front desk and plopped them on the counter and demanded clean sheets at once. I made the beds myself, and gave instructions not to enter the room for cleaning. I stayed 2 nights and wanted to make sure no one touched the beds. We just covered up with the sheet, at least I knew it was clean! The carpets were filthy dirt and stained. I would not recommend or stay here again, even if it were for free!"

"If you can get past the broken microwave, frozen room refrigerator, no room safe,no hotwater, slow draining shower, poor breakfast and the maids hair on your towels you will enjoy your stay! A 2 star is being kind...
We arrived late at the hotel and went to bed. The next day we noticed hair in the shower and on the hand towels in the bathroom, when showering we were left standing in 3-4 inches of water for the drain was very slow. My daughter tried to use the microwave to heat her bagel and it burned it up after 30 seconds. We should of cued in on there was a problem when the microwaved was first opened it smelled worse then burnt popcorn. After a long day we came back to the room to find that the refrigerator that was froze up in the morning had drained all over the table and onto the mattress when it defrosted. So we called up maintenance at 11pm . They replaced the frig with another used fridge, then changed out the mircrowave. The next day we got up to no hot water, so we called maintenace and while they were trying to figure out the problem I asked them to clean the drain so the shower could empty. They told us it was a boiler problem and we would have hot water in 30-45 minutes. I also asked for a safe since we were paying for one to be in our room. Upon returning that night our drain had been cleaned for you could actually shower and not be left standing in water and there was now a safe in our closet. At this point we stopped going down stairs for the lame breakfast that came with our room. McDonalds is a 5 min trip and so much better."

"Our television, phone, and wall safe didn't work when we checked in and when we approached the staff to fix them they weren't friendly. The continental breakfast was not good the bagels were either frozen or stale, the cereal was stale, and fruit was all mushy and bruised, the juices were very watery and the milks were expired. Housekeeping didn't come to clean our room until 5pm and the room didn't ever get cleaned. We had to pay a resort fee for the hotel and it wasn't worth it. I would not recommend staying at this hotel."

"The sliding glass doors to balcony were broken and didn't close. They had installed a hook latch.
The most disturbing incident was the 'false alarm' fire emergency evacuation at 1:30 AM on Sun. morning. There was an announcement on the loud speakers all over the hotel saying that all quests must evacuate because of a fire emergency. We sat in the parking lot until 2:30 AM. Return to rooms was by word of mouth among guests. Neither the fire department that responded nor the hotel ever made any official announcement that the building was safe to reenter. It was the responsibility of the fire department or the hotel to officially announce the building was safe to reenter. This never happened. We simply had to trust the rumors among evacuated guests."

"Limited check-in staff. Bathrooms are terrible. Mold in shower, and when you lift the knob on the faucet to turn on shower it actually comes out of the wall, thought it was going to break. Construction/remodeling fitness center. Would not recommend - it's no palace."

"Great hotel for the amount for the room however the shuttle bus ride does take a while when you stand all day in line at the parks for EVERYTHING it is hardly worth leaving and trying to go back to the hotel to take a nap for younger children we just stayed and wore them out and it was very exhausting for everyone, But to lay your head down and get ready for the next adventure, great hotel. Food could use some work and we were too tired to use the pool area but the fireworks for the upgrade was wonderful (even though my 3 and 4yr olds didn't make it)."

"When we got to the room, the AC was not working. It took two repairmen to 'somewhat'fix it. It never worked properly. No hot breakfast like in other hotels in the area, you have to pay eight dollars each for the buffet. Too expensive for what it is. Otherwise, the staff was very nice."

"I was expecting a lot more since is a hotel that belongs to Disney. The deal said FREE continental breakfast, not FREE...we have to pay an upgrate to eat at the buffet, otherwise we only get a sandwich. Have to ask for a refrigerator in the room, and pay extra, I need to store some medicine for my daughter (You can get a microwave and refrigerator at Hampton at no cost!) VIP parking, only works one guy and he is not even there when you need the car. They even charge us a 'resort fee' for what?? Will not come back, there are a lot of hotels much better for the same or less money that offer a lot more...come on, if you are inside Disney, you should have much better qualilty and service. "

"I receive this 'deal' but wasn't good at all. First we never get to see the 'DOWNTOWN Disney VIEWS' from the balcony, like the website says, ,,we were facing the parking lot, we have to ask for a refrigetator to store some medicines for my daughter, and of course pay extra for that.( You can get a free refrigetaror and microwave at no cost at Hampton Hotel, and they don't even belong to this Disney area! and free breakfast too! The valet parking...only one guy.. and wasn't even there when we need our car. The FREE CONTINENTAL breakfast, not free, we have to pay for an upgrade that way we can eat at the buffet, otherwise they only give you a sandwich. And they charge a 'resort fee' of another $10 for what????? Seriously, this hotel is inside Disney, and you end up paying more than a regular hotel that offers a lot more... NEVER COME BACK HERE."

"Rooms very well kept. Shuttles were frequent. But staff at the Traders Buffet for breakfast was very rude! My fiance and I had the breakfast buffet there in the morning and while we were on our way out, the staff accused us of not paying. We told her that we paid with our credit card already and she still said 'No, you didn't! I don't think so!' She quickly ran over to our table to check the bill and saw that it was already paid! Very rude! It was very embarrassing and humiliating because there were other customers dining there too,"

"The lobby area was clean and nice. When we got to our room, what a dump. Old, paint peeling, old carpet. TV was awful. There was a sign at the front desk they were installing new flat screen TVs. I asked second day if they could install one in our room as obviously by the parking lot and the number of Customers, this location was empty. It was not replaced. It would not matter, it was clear that the reception was the issue as observed in the quick service food area. Staff was friendly, the location was really good and the upgrade to a Disney view nice, BUT, no I would not recommend. Not worth any price. UGH"

"We stayed at this hotel 30 years ago on our honeymoon. It was a Travelodge at that time. The balconies that look towards Epcot and Magic Kingdom are great, good view of the fireworks. We had a view of the construction of the Epcot ball 30 years ago. The decor is a bit dated, very few changes in the section we were in. Though we understand that they are renovating some sections of the hotel now. It was very quiet and the staff couldn't have been nicer. The hotel sent us a bottle of wine and a cheese platter for our anniversary, very nice. We got free continental breakfast for two and a $25 food/beverage credit. No proteins at all on the continental breakfast, $8 per person extra to get buffet breakfast upgrade. The buffet breakfast is very good, but a little overpriced. The theme park transportation is good, but we had a 1 hour wait all three days because the bus drivers took their break at exactly the time we were waiting for them, odd. We never made it to the pool, and we had dinner every night at the parks, so we didn't spend much time in the hotel. Overall great stay, next time we hope to relax a little more, with time at the hotel. Not fancy, but we would definitely recommend this hotel for the price, location, and ease of Disney Transportation. About 3/4 of a mile from the east section of Downtown Disney, and within 1 mile of lots of chain restaurants. Overall, Great Stay!"

"This Hotel does what it needs to do, and that's it. It's the minimum of what you'd expect from a Hotel in this area and for this price. The problem is simply that it's an old hotel, and the updates have not been all too successful. The room's are nice and clean though, and the people quite nice. But you can hear the old wiring of the elevators at night. The AC did not work properly. I feel the hotel has no 'heart', again, it does just what it needs to in order to operate."

"Free transportation was the only plus. Careful with the hidden fees, complimentary breakfast for 2 means ONLY 2, your kids gotta pay, room was dirty and not kept well. Also, be aware that the upgrade to the Disney fireworks room does NOT sleep 5, so they will bump you to the lower level floors where you'll not be able to see the firework display."

"The Room was a good size, clean. The bathroom was a little small but they usually are. There was no refrigerator which would have been nice. A nice surprise was that we had a balcony that had a view of Downtown Disney and the Epcot ball and had a great view of the nightly fireworks display. The bus transporation was very convienient although you have to go to two other hotels to pick up and drop off this hotel was the first on and the first off. Even with the other two stops the ride was relatively quick and you don't have to pay to park or deal with the traffic!"

"We had previously stayed at this hotel and had a great experience. When we checked in this time, we were immediately charged the $10/night resort fee. There is free parking, free Disney shuttles, and free wifi, so it isn't unreasonable. We were told there were no King rooms as we requested, and were sent up to our Queen/Queen room. At first, the room key didn't work so we made the trek back down to the lobby from the 12th floor with all our luggage. After getting the correct key and entering the room, we discovered that there was no refrigerator. We called downstairs and asked for a fridge to be delivered. While we were waiting, we noticed that the TV didn't work either. We packed all of our stuff back up and went down to the lobby and requested a new room. They sent us to a room that had a fridge and a working TV, and a 'Disney view.' (You can see Epcot in the distance). The beds are comfortable and it's a pretty quiet hotel. Our continental breakfast was a joke. You have a very limited selection - 1 piece of fruit, 1 plain bagel & cream cheese, 1 container of cold cereal, and you choose either 1 small muffin or 1 small danish. No protein at all. This is an ok hotel if you're wanting to spend as much time in the parks as possible. The shuttles to Disney run every 30 minutes on a regular schedule, which is probably the best perk for this hotel. We will not stay at this hotel again, but will stay in one of the other Downtown Disney area hotels."

"We got a really good deal for this hotel during Spring Break (less than one half of what the lowest priced Disney resort was), so I rated it according to what I would expect at Downtown Disney for the price. Hotel is a little older and could use updating, but still for the most part very clean and bright. Everything worked and staff that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We did not spend a lot of time at the hotel so cannot tell anything about dining or other aspects, although the pool did look very clean and inviting. This biggest negative on this or any other hotel outside of the Disney Resort network is the bus service. Our service was very friendly and comfortable, but the busses made multiple stops at hotels and parks, so if you got on first, and got off last, you spent a good deal of time just riding the bus. Still, I would recommend for the price and the location to a friend."

"The staff who checked us in was very rude. The bus schedule was awful. We spent so much time waiting on the bus. Rather than stating it is every 30 minutes, they should prepare you that it is every 45 mins to an hour. Better yet, get more bus drivers and have an every 15 minute bus schedule. There were several times when we could see the buses sitting in the parking lot, but they would not come and pick us up. We stayed at the Caribbean last year. I realize now how amazing that resort was."

"Hotel is Old.... Carpets downstairs in the Lobby & dining room were soiled. We were on the 17th floor and the carpets there looked quite new and clean. Elevators were Old, very old. Service was good, staff was friendly and efficient. A little expensive for what we got, but it was Easter Monday & Tuesday. I'd rather NOT return, but I would under desperate circumstances."

"We arrived late afternoon to the hotel and was greeted by someone someone who was there to do a job. We went up to our room and called for a roll-a-way bed that we needed for the fifth person in the group. The guy that brought it was awesome. He helped us with the bed as well as ran back out to get us more towels. We decided to eat right at the hotel to save us a little money an time from eating in Downtown Diseny...BIG mistake! For five of us dinner was over $250! On the menu was ribs, so one person ordered them and three of us order steak. the other had ordered the shrimp. We were teh first people of the night ordering dinner and they were out of the ribs. Really? I ordered a Ribeye steak that was brought well after everyone else had started their dinner, only to figure out that they had forgotten about my dinner and threw it on late. I ordered a med steak and was delivered a RARE, very rare steak. The salad bar consisted of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and hot peppers...that was it!! I highly recommend you do dinner somewhere else."

"We got in late and checked in with no problems. The room was ok and the room was semi clean. The bath tub was small and doubled as the shower, also had no anti slip things in the tub. half way through the week the ac went out and we had to sleep either with a big ugly work fan in the room or no ac at all. The next day we were put into another room with a credit for the refridgerator and resort fees and upon checking out was not totaly credited as was told to me and the girl that was checking me out was rude and said nothing passing me off to a different girl who made my family miss the bus to the park and had to wait another half hour for the next one. the bus drivers to the parks were very rude except for one man who was very helpful as I was on a handicap scooter."

"For $10 more we had a view of Disney, but all we could see was the Mickey ears on a water tower and some construction cranes where they were working. The remote control was in a bag labeled something like 'refreshed for you' but all the numbers where wore off and the television did not work. The lights did not work at first because they kept coming unplugged. The maintenance people came in after banging on the door, but I had already figured out the problem by then and they didn't do anything to actually correct the problem. The bath was clean but need some repairs to the walls and ceiling. Not worth the money and would not recommend to anyone unless they were looking for a place to sleep. Don't waste your money on the 'view' either."

The Staff was very friendly and helpful. .Continental breakfast was for 2 and there were 5 in our party but the hotel gave us 2 extra tickets which helped but still had topay for several breakfasts. There was NO $25.00 dinner credit! The shuttles were very unpredictable! Overall we had a great time."

"Our room was clean, but I noticed that there were hair on the floor in the bathroom from previously. They advertised of free breakfast, free shuttle bus transportation, free wi fi, but a service charged of $8.99 daily. When I asked the clerk about the charge, he just laughed about it. That wasn't too professional and very nice. My wife and I were not impressed with the staff at all. We will not return to this hotel next year!!!!"

"We were booked in the hotel for four nights. We found the check in staff not very pleasant as well, we recieved vouchers for the continential breakfast which were confusing and on the first two mornings the counter staffs greeting was, what do you want? upon presentation of the voucher. Not all staff were unpleasent the maintenance and housekeeping staff we talked with seemed nice. We had no hot water one night and through the next day. We were told a few times when we asked that they were working on the problem. I did appreciate the shuttle service and the location was good. Other than that the hotel in my opinion should try to focus a little more on customer service as there are a lot of other options for hotels in the area."

"The hotel is an older hotel, that has been refurbished recently. Our room was small, but adequate. The room location could have been better, but it was quiet. The A/C unit fan was noisy and we ended up just shutting it off. The cleanliness was adequate, but could have been better. I noticed the same piece of litter on the hallway floor three days in a row. The hotel offers regular bus service to the Disney parks. This is a nice feature. The hotel is also located close to local shopping and dining. There is a daily resort fee in addition to the room charge."

"The title tells it all. We found bed bugs in our bed, as confirmed by the security officier. Beyond that the manager at the desk was empathetic and showed a lack of respect to my wife and daughter. We of course went to a Disney Hotel. When I reported this incident to the corporate office their reply was ..all the hotels are franchised and independently owned, accordingly, we take no responsibilty of any actions at these establishments...What a way to run a Hotel Chain!"

"We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. First impression was great, the hall is very nice.The room was clean, however we had just 3 towels. Refrigerator could be available just for extra money. The most 'interesting' part is an included breakfast. You can have one small bagel with cream cheese, cereal, coffee, 1 cup of juice, 1 fruit (usually green orange or black banana, or very hard apple) and 1 muffin or danish. Such breakfast is very far from even smaller hotel (not to forget - this hotel is resort). At customer service, we wanted to order shuttle to the airport. They said that you have to order in advance 24 hours (that is not true!!!!!) and recommended a taxi, probably their friends. Overall, very old hotel and not even value for the price. DO NOT STAY THERE!!"

"Stayed here last time I went to Disney World was the worst vacation experience I have ever had. Have only stayed at a Best Western once since this experience and that was because I had to for a wedding. "Booked this as a sruprise to our 6 yr old daughter for the end of the school year. Got to the hotel and was immediately told that the pool wasn't an option for us due to an African American Pride pool party that wold be going on for the next 4-5 hours and would not be family friendly. Now, we were actually plnning to use the pool that day (the day we arrived) b/c we were doing the parks etc the other days. So we resigned ourselves to not doing it and went to the room .. first sight.. dusty, hot, humid. I was so upset.... my husband spoke with Book it so we could try to move elsewhere. There was nowhere else. Next thing we know while we are sitting there withour 6 year old (trying to keep her entertained since there was no pool option) the door opens and in comes housekeeping, said they were told we checked out. I spoke with the manager who was RUDE beyond belief and when I told him I would have come to the desk if we were leaving, he said 'usually when people leave because they are not happy they don't stop at the desk' So that tells me this customer DISsatisfation is a 'usual' occurrence. Staff was most UNFRIENDLY! Our time in the room was miserable! I will not recommend this hotel, and I HIGHLY encourage BOOK IT! to check the hotels they affiliate with."

"First my wife and daughte could not take a bath, becuase theire was no stopper in the tub. When I requested one I had to make five calls over 2-1/2 hours to finally have some one show up and another 15 minutes for him to find a plug.
Immediately, when we arrived it was freezing in our room. We tried to set the theromostat to no avail. Caller the front desk six times over a 3 hour period to get someone to come up to set. Then it got hot and we could not control the temperature, so we lived with it.
Every time I used the phone the cord dropped out of it so I had to hold in the plug while I used it.
Unfortuantely, I was suppose to be enjoying myself, but instead I was your maintenance quality control man.
So, unhappy about Best Western is an understatement.
But there are a lot of hotels in your area for me to stay at.

"The accomodations at the Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort were outstanding. You are made to feel at home the moment you walk through the door with friendly check-in services at the Hotel desk front. The room is exceptioanlly clean and the view outstanding as we were able to watch both the Magic Kingdom fireworks in the evening as well as the show presented at Epcot from our Hotel balcony.
The management was very attentive to our needs. I reported our room phone was not working upon our arrival and within 15 minutes someone was there and fixed the problem.
The parking facilities are outstanding and free to you as a Hotel Guerst unlike a lot of other Resorts where you are charged $12 to $14 a day for parking fees.
We have Disney Year passes and from now on our return trips will include a stay at the Best Western.
A solid A( ) rating is our estimation of the entire Best Western experience."

"My husband and I decided to get a hotel for New Year's since we would be an hour away from home at a concert in downtown Disney. We always stay at Best Western's and NEVER have has a problem until this past weekend. This hotel is DISGUSTING. We would never stay here again. Price does not include a king bed or a refridgerator. The room was dirty. When I called the front desk they basically told me this is what you get for booking with Bookit, if I wanted anything else I had to pay more. On top of that, they say that the shuttle comes every 30 minutes, try every hour if that. We ended up having to walk back to the hotel from downtown disney because they were over 2 hours behind. NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!"

"The front dest staff was not trained propertly to understand how to use a debt/credit card. I requested rooms next to each other which they did not do. I had to settle for a handcappe room to be on the same floor. It took 45 min. to get that.That kept telling me that it cost more to have a Disney view which I had already paid for. The shower floor flooded, there was only one mirror in the room which was about 24' x 12', I had to dry the floor with towels so I could dry my hair without getting electric shock. I had to call room service 5 times to get someone to answer. The pot of coffee was burned to the point that is was not drinkable, the OJ tast like a can.
This was not a fun relexing Disney vacation due to the poor service at this Resort. This is not what Disney is all about."

"I thought my booking experience was too good to be true. It turned out I was right. I was able to book 2 nights through Bookit for a great price on the nights I needed to travel. "We arrived early and requested to check in, not only did the front desk have a room ready for us,they were nice enough to put us in a room facing Disney so we could see the fireworks show each night !! Loved it ! There were a few small things like a wake up call never recieved, towels that were not delivered, and some stains on the bedskirts. But overall the trip was great. Warning tho , stay away from the offer to spend an hour or two to see wyndahms resort. They say its only an hour, maybe two , but in reality its over three hours and HEAVY HANDED selling. We had to say NO to 3 diffrent ppl before we were allowed to leave with our ' gift'. Wait staff at the resturant was fantastic ! They were a pleasure to meet."

"We loved our stay. The check in easy and front desk very friendly got all our coupon books etc. Our room was on the 10 floor and the view was great of the lake off the balcony and in the distance epcot. The room was clean and very comfortable, the beds great. Couldn't have asked for anything better. We got a free breakfast but upgraded to the buffet all you could eat and the food was hot and very good and enough of it . Staff very friendly. "Just back from our stay at The Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort Hotel. Had it not been for the price ticket deal we would not have made this choice. But given it was a great deal I base my comments with that in mind.
I felt I had read in a number of places that the hotel had recently been remodeled or received some nips and tucks. I would agree for the age of this hotel the hallways and room living areas look just a few years old. The bathrooms are another story but the housekeeping staff does the best they can given these very old bathrooms that could benefit from scraping and painting for freshening up. Fridge has been removed or never there in the first place and the tvs are small and ancient. But lets be honest you do not go to Orlando to stay in the room. Otherwise we slept well and had plenty of room to spread out.
Very familiar with the hotel location and knew the bus system would make it feel that we were not far away from anything. It worked like clockwork for the parks but Downtown Disney busing was very poorly done. Although, the walk was pleasant in the beautiful weather we had so not really a huge issue for us.
We had two minor issues in our room which took three days to get someone to take note and respond. But when we got to the right staff in the evening with Carlos and Michael it was all resolved in a snap.
The price was great. The disney pass deal and under those circumstances I would definitely do it again. Although, without this package I would probably shop around."

"My grandchidren (ages 11 & 8) and I had a nice stay. We had the breakfast buffet every morning and it was OK. We had very friendly servers. The bus was always on time (every half hour) but the ride to the parks is pretty long so allow for a good 30 min. ride. Then, of course, allow for the very long walks to the monorail or park entrance. The better drop off points are reserved for the people actually staying in the Disney properties. My family we met up with had a much better experience because of they were at one of the villas.
Our beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows. We did not have a fridge. We had no real complaints in the hotel except for a very strange problem....the soap smelled really bad! I have no idea what was wrong with it but I took it to the front desk so they could get a 'whiff' :) They gave me something different and it was OK.
The extra resort fees and distance to parking are two big negatives."

"We were pleased with our stay at the Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort Hotel. We had a Disney view room that was a free upgrade. The disney view was great. We had a fantastic view of the wishes fireworks at Magic Kingdom and illuminations at Epcot. The transportation to the disney parks was nice. The buses ran at 25 minutes and 55 minutes every hour (ie: 9:25 and 9:55). The last bus picked up at each park 1 hour after the park closed. The buses had padded seats. Our room was large enough for 3 adults and 2 children, one 11 and one 5. We had room to place a single air mattress on the floor for one of our boys to sleep on. The room that we stayed in needed a little work on the ceiling and on the faucet in the shower. It looked like that had a prior leak in the ceiling outside the bathroom. The tile around the faucet in the shower was pushed in. I would stay here again."

"Our room was fabulous. Two king-size beds with up-dated linens and many pillows.
Our room had two huge, floor-to-ceiling, sliding glass doors opening onto a room-wide balcony complete with chairs and casual table.
The view was magnificent overlooking miles of greenery out to the entire Disney Complex.
In the evening we could watch two long-lasting fireworks displays. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was impressive with new carpeting throughout. We are very pleased Bookit.com customers."

"This hotel was very clean & had great rooms. The price was amazing considering how close we were to everything.
We were able to walk 3 blocks to Downtown Disney & we were only a few minutes drive from any of the Disney parks, Universal, & Sea World. Added bonus, we could see the EPCOT dome from our balcony & we could watch all the Disney fireworks shows too. Not quite as nice as being there beneath them, but we were still able to experience them.
Pool was very clean & deep & had lots of places to sit.
Restaurant staff was great - very personable & helpful but the food was pretty bad. Definitely would recommend that people stay here, just don't eat here."

"From the outside, the hotel looks old and dated. Access to the property is not as clear as you would expect but once you learned how to navigate around the parking lot it was ok. Check in was ok, staff was friendly and efficient. Everything was ready for our arrival. The only item that was not explained was the dining credit. Breakfast was very simple; you receive one cereal, one bagel, one muffin or pastry, fruit (apple, orange or banana) one juice (orange or apple) and coffee. Upgrade to full breakfast buffet cost $6/person per day and was ok but not great. Rooms were nice but dated. Bathrooms in need of upgrade/renovation. Room was comfortable but tv was old and had limited channels (maybe 15). Overall this we enjoyed our stay and was what we expected. Hotel is close to a lot of restaurants and very close to Downtown Disney with free shuttle service at night."

"This hotel was ok but must say I have stayed at better 3 star hotels.
Conditioner and shower cap were brought up to me upon request ;no lotion in bathroom. Also you are charged $8.00 a day for a parking and Wi Fi fee weather you use these services or not. If you are planning to go to the Disney parks plan for a long trip. Each bus goes two 2 parks and makes stops at 3 hotels. Even though parks are 4-5 miles away it will take about 1/2 hour to get there. Also disappointing that no mini fridge was in the room. Overall this hotel is ok but I would not come back."

"For a mid-level hotel i was very happy with the Best Western . I liked the extra mirror and counter outside of the bathroom in the room. Hotel had nice gift shops, restaurant and bar, free continental breakfast, free shuttle to Disney with very nice drivers."

"FOR THE MONEY, THE BEST WESTERN FUL-FILLED OUR EXPECTATIONS. BRING YOUR OWN SOAP AND TOWELS, AS THE SOAP PROVIDED IS HORRIBLE, TOWELS ARE WORN A BIT. THE BED AND PILLOWS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE. PROXIMITY TO DISNEY WAS GREAT. WHOLE FACILITY WAS VERY CLEAN AND UPDATED. THE ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT WAS NO REFRIGERATOR IN THE ROOM, IT APPEARED AS THOUGH THERE WAS ONE AT ONE TIME AND IT WAS REMOVED AND NOT PUT BACK. "A good mid-level hotel -- not luxurious, but can't beat the price. We got a great deal w/ upgrades for $65/nite and enjoyed the Disney-view rooms from which we could see the fireworks -- although they happened only once in the 5 nights we were there (mid-Sept.). A MUCH better deal than anything you could get in a Disney-owned hotel.
The continental breakfast is extremely minimal -- choice of coffee, tea, or OJ and choice of bagel, croissant, or cellophane-wrapped pastry. But you can use your coupon for $3 off the buffet if you're a big eater. (That makes it $6.)
Transportation to and from Disney is good -- twice an hour all day. Also there's a shuttle to Downtown Disney. And you can walk to Crossroads Shopping Ctr w/ a grocery and several restaurants.
For some reason the hotel restaurant was closed 2 of our 5 nights, but the Flamingo Lounge was open with hot food."

"The Front Desk was very much UNDERSTAFFED (all the time) both days. Allie was very attentive and personable.
The telephone did not work in the room. The alarm clock/radio was not functioning properly. There was only one little trash can. The refrigerator was missing. No microwave. The TV was long past due to be replaced. No vent in the Bathroom. Lighting in the make-up area outside the bathroom was woefully inadequate.
Their idea of a 'continental' breakfast was laughable.
The bed was comfortable. The A/C was good. The room was quiet."

Beds were comfortable; nice view; quick room service; clean rooms(other than bug found); nice size pool with 8' deep area; proximity to parks was great; in-room coffee was good.
Things we didn't like:
Front desk service - slow and couldn't access from room one day; cockroach-looking bug found and killed on curtain. Front desk said it was a type of beetle all hotels were dealing with. (Gave us new room; breakfast buffet next morning; waived hotel charges for rest of stay). Saw spray crews multiple times during our 10 day stay; no microwave or fridge in rooms; shampoo, soap & conditioners were low grade.
The biggest disappointment was the two 'free' breakfasts each day offered with our booking. Showed their buffet but the coupons were only good for a bagel or pastry and coffee or juice without paying $6 for the buffet. False advertising there!

The shower knob was really loose and the same for the shower head. Bathroom needed some home improvements. Beds were VERY comfortable. Could have used a 'new' tv."

"My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Best Western. The front desk attendant (Marinella) was very friendly and accomadating. We had a Disney view from the 16th floor and it was pretty cool. We watched the fireworks from the Balcony on both nights that we stayed. WE stayed in a King sized bed suite and the room was huge. If you are going to stay make sure to bring your own soap because the soap they give you is horrible. Also their was no refrigerator in our room but I didn't check to see if it came with one. The buses to Disney came every 30 minutes and wasn't bad but if there is inclement weather near by plan ahead for the bus because there is no shelter at the bus stops at the parks. All in all the stay was great. Their free breakfast was kind of lame but for $69 there is not much to complain about. Go in September or late August. Kids are going back to school and its slow."
