"Initial appearance of the property are that it looks ok from the outside. Entering lobby impression still remains neutral, nothing really jumps out at you. Beyond the elevator is a pool and hot tub area, along with a dining area.
Our room was on the 2nd floor, and exiting the elevator left one with a not impressed feeling. Entering the room you were immediately hit with the smell of moldiness. Later on that day, another resident of the property told us she and her husband experienced the same odor, and purchased room deodorizer, of which the remainder she gave to my wife.
The room was worth the $$ rate but did not deserve the $$ resort fee, The air-conditioner grill was rusted, there was a sheet of paper to serve as the 'resort directory'. Overall not a good stay"

"The hotel was not as described, pictures do not show the current state of the hotel room.
It was dirty, the carpet was 'sticky', one of the tv's was broken, the bathroom mirror needed to be replaced.
It was not a family suite as described, it only had a 'partition', the bunk bed and twin bed did not have a twin mattress, it almost felt like a crib mattress
Room service came in after the first night and took all the towels and did no leave new ones! Called room service and front desk but they never picked up, had to go to front desk to get new towels and the staff gave me an attitude about it.
Their 'free shuttle' only leaves once a day around 10:35 which is after the parks have already open, and last pick up is at 8:30 (alot earlier than park closing time).
Will never visit this place again.

"Went for a weekend at Disney at the last minute. Was leary at first, but the hotel, although older, was very clean and the bed was great. Didn't interact with the staff, but when we asked for an additional bath towel, 6 bath towels, 6 handtowels and 6 washcloths were delivered! Very quiet room, even many families were in the building. For the value, best deal in Orlando!"

"Unforunately this was a horrible experience. The front desk staff was not interested in helping or being polite. The room was disgusting. There was a vomit stain on the wall in the kids area. The rugs were dirty, the beds were awful. There was a dirty rusted plate on the wall in the bathroom. All the furniture in the room was broken. There were ants in the room and honestly the only reason I did not leave is because it was spring break and there were no rooms available for a decent price. Also I came home and all three of my children ended up with bronchitis due to the horrible conditions of the room. Also I was supposed to have free breakfast, my family and I are not a picky bunch. We love eating, yet the food was awful! It honestly could not be eaten. Needless to say that we had to pay for breakfast elsewhere."

"This is a hotel that needs serious renovations but it was an excellent value. I found it to be tired but clean. My plan was not to do more than sleep in the room as I was meeting family during the days at Disney. It was more than suitable for that purpose. I spent a week there and would do so again. This is a very family friendly hotel if you're traveling on a budget."

"Love this hotel and have stayed here many times. For the price you pay it's wonderful. We've been coming here for years and have enjoyed every visit. We know alot of the staff at the desk and resturant by name. The food is typical buffet food but it is always fresh and the staff attentive. We brought our grandkids again and they love the indoor pool, I love the hot tub. We all brought laptops and had not problem with the wireless connection. We'll be back."

"We got there early, went to check in room wasn't ready. Okay we went shopping and to do a little sight seeing. Back at 3:00, started to check in, they gave us all the wrong coupons, while taking care of us, people just rudely interupted us acouple of times. The room STILL was not ready, told to come back in 20 minutes. Went back again was given our room, wasn't happy at that point.
I had asked for a renovated room, not facing the pool. That is what they gave me. Asked for the manager and was given a different room. The room was ok, the spinkler head was painted over and if there was a fire, it wouldn't work. There was garage under the bunkbeds. You could hear everyone having showers and all the noise. The waitress at the breakfast buffet was amazing! The girls loved the indoor pool and hot tub. The internet was very slow and we couldn't open up our emails. The computer was old! We choose this hotel because it was one of the only hotels with an indoor pool. We were there only to sleep and use the pool. The shuttle to Sea World and Universal Studios was good. We liked that we were close to Disney! We drove to them because of the schedule times for them."

"The lobby looked good and people at the desk were nice but we were given a room I did not book with bunk beds that you could feel the springs in. They were overbooked so could not change us until the next day. We were given a room with the right bed configuration, however, the room had a very damp musty smell which never went away. The window had condensation on it which dripped down and left the carpet continually wet. There were not enough plugs so they used power bars everywhere. The restaurant was run down and dark and the voucher system for the free breakfasts was poorly handled. The buffet was ok, but we had a very hard time getting cutlery and bowls for the cereal. There were drops of water leaking from the roof into the restaurant. The voucher system was as outdated as the hotel. Old t.v.s, but at least our king and queen size beds were comfortable. We were glad we payed so little as it was not a satisfactory stay and we will never return there."

"This has to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. It was dirty, trash let all over the hallway, tables around the pool and in the waiting area. We saw a coffee cup and a pizza box set on a table in the waiting area for 3 days. Our room had trash in the trash can for days before room service cleaned it...as it was overflowing on the floor, guess they had to. The first room we were assigned to smelled so bad...cigar smoke and mold (which you could see around the vents) that we asked for another room. It was somewhat better but still nasty. Most of the staff were very rude and had a serious I dont care attitude. I will NEVER NEVER stay at this hotel again nor would I ever refer it to anyone."

"Many things surprised us after we arrived at the hotel. When the reservation was made I was told there would be breakfast available for two adults and two children and the reservation was made for two adults and one child aged 16. However, after we checked in and went for our first breakfast we were told only two of us could have a free breakfast as the free breakfast was for two adults and two childern under 12. I feel this should have been made clear at check-in if not when we made the reservation. Another thing that happened that was very disappointing was the lack of parking. Unless you arrive in the early afternoon every day of your stay, you will have to park very far away from any entry doors. One evening we returned quite late, in the rain, and not only did we have to park very far from any entry door, but none of our key cards worked on the door. We were forced to go to the main entrance to get new key cards to be able to use other doors for entry to the building. This problem occurred more than once during our five day stay. Another problem occurred a couple of mornings during breakfast at the 'free' buffet. Twice there was a very long wait for clean plates so we could serve ourselves at the buffet and other times we had to wait for our server to bring us tableware. The dining room are is in a 4-story area which stays very cold so hot food gets cold very quickly which, in my opinion, is not a very good situation for buffet meal serving.On one occasion I requested a glass of water with no ice when our server brought our hot beverages and she quite rudely told me I should have requested it when she asked for our beverage orders. I thought she had a rather bad attitude as I prefaced my request by saying I was sorry to ask for the water after she brought hot tea but I really meant to ask for it earlier. I apologized but she didn't want to hear it. After all this I believe the coup de grace was that we accidentally left our winter jackets in our rooms and realized it a few hours after we were driving north to our home. I called the hotel to ask them if the coats had been found in our room. I was told that Housekeeping had a Lost and Found office and I would be connected to this office. There was no one in the office and I wasn't comfortable nor was I happy to leave a voice mail message so I called back to speak to the front desk. The same person answered and told me a bit curtly that there was no other choice than for me to leave a message. I told her that wasn't acceptable and I would like to speak to her supervisor. She got her supervisor on the phone. The supervisor was a very professional and helpful person who explained the process for returning forgotten items to guests. I was a bit disappointed that the process involved my having to pay for the return of the items. I recalled a situation 3 years ago when I accidentally left a personal pillow in a Howard Johnson's Hotel in Pennsylvania and they actually called me before I realized I had left it there and let me know they had already sent the pillow to my home. I guess all establishments are alike. I was told by staff at the Ramada that they employ a shipping company who ship on Tuesdays and Thursdays and this company would get in touch with me to find out which method of shipping I would prefer to pay for to get our jackets returned to us. Unfortunately they must not have worked today as I didn't hear from them so we will have to wait until Thursday to make the arrangements. We are now back in Maine and will be without these jackets through Thursday and as long as it takes for the jackets to be shipped back to us (the time it takes that I am willing to pay for). As you can see I am still a bit miffed that I am not only waiting an inordinate amount of time but paying for the shipping as well. The final things that were not acceptable during our stay was that we did not have wi-fi access at any time. We tried all over our room, in many different places around the motel and never found any place that we could get internet access. This was one of the reasons we selected this property because they advertised free in-room wi-fi. Also, several times during our stay, one or both elevators were not working properly. This was not only inconvenient but very scary."

"Dumpy, dirty, free breakfast was just that, free!! wouldnt have paid $1 for it. Breakfast buffet was packed and they had 1 waitress working, she was the waitress, hostess, even seen her busting tables and was the cashier. Did i say dirty,Saturday went to hotel bar and server was excellant! Got back from theme park Sunday evening, went to Hotel Bar, server was lazy and slow. Sheets were dirty, old place!!! Watch out for the resorts fees, once tacked on could have stayed somwhere alot nicer, you get what you pay for! Water down margaritas, drank 10 of them and was not even buzzed!!!!"

"Minor glitch at check, night manager but with the help of desk clerk it was cleared up. Problems with room, switched us to another immediately. Talked to day manager the next day and she assured us we would not be treated rudely again. This is a great hotel for the price and over all the staff is wonderful. Can't say enough wonderful things about both women and the service they provide. We will always stay at this Ramada when we come to Orlando/Kissimmee area. Give them a try, if it's wrong they make it right."

"The room we were origanally given smelt like mildew, the carpets were wet and the air condton did not work. The room was 82 degrees, At fiirst we thought the cleaning people left the air turned down and the floors were maybe just cleaned contrbuting to the mildwew smell so we left and returned about 3 hours later and after setting the to 60 it was stll 85 degrees when we returned, Ofcourse I went down to the front desk explaned the issue they sent up mantainance who than told us were we were going to need to move to another room that the a/c was not working.
I was also 8 months pregant and had a 3 year old with us so between the heat and smell lets just say I was not happy. The room was very out dated and I felt because we got a deal on book it we got penilzed by gettng an old diingy room.
Probably will never stay there agaiin I rather pay a little more and stay somewhere else and have NO issues."

"I booked this hotel because it says it sleeps 5 we had 4 adults and one child as noted on my reservations we check in and the room has 1 queen bed a kids size bunk bed and 1 kids size twin. We went to the manager and she would not do anything except offer us another room for 30.00. needless to say I am very upset and feel I deserve a refund. I would never recommend this hotel!!!!"

"This hotel stay was so much better than expected. For the price we simply explected an ok place to sleep. What we got was a decent place to sleep with very comfortable beds. 2 bufett breakfasts and the bufett was filled continuously with fresh bacon, sausage, eggs gravys, every kind of roll you can image and the fruit was amzaing!!!
The way the setting of the hotel was set up made it a very intereing view from your room. Right down onto the enclosed pool and the bufett.
My husband and i were very happy with the expericene and would recommend it.
They even let us change from a king size bed to 2 queens when we got there.

"Wish I could give this place the rating it deserves which is way below a one star hotel. Not only is the hotel ridiculously tacky, but the staff and cleanliness is way below expectations of a Ramada. Below I will gladly explain our horrible experience so who ever wants to stay here is turned away quickly to the much better Ramada across the street.
-was told we could check in at 12:30, did not get to check-in until 3:15... 15 minutes past the hotels check in time.
-we ran out of toothpaste and since you have to pay a ten dollar a day resort fee to cover anything you need, I requested a tube a toothpaste to be brought to our room. I waited 45 minutes and called three times until I decided to take matters into my hands. I left my room and asked their terrible housekeeping staff if they had any toothpaste, she proceeded to lie and say the hotel doesn't have any... Oh really? Because the sign in my bathroom says that this Ramada provides toothpaste, soap, shaving cream, razors, etc. so, truth is, she was too lazy to get it for me. So, I walked down to the lobby and said, 'may I please get the toothpaste I requested 45 minutes ago so we can carry on with our day?' she handed it to me with no apologies. As I was walking back up to my room the charming housekeeping ladies were standing in the middle of the hallway which I had to excuse myself to get through them... And get this, the conversations they were having we're about how much their jobs suck. Hotel staff was informed of this, they still made no effort to make our stay better.
-after arriving back to our hotel after a long day at Magic Kingdom, I requested new towels... Waited another HOUR to get them. So, I called the front desk in rage, unfortunately. The manager said he would refund $20 of my resort fee out of the $50... Not okay. I refused to pay a resort fee for me to only have to take time out of my day waiting for toothpaste and towels and for me to have to personally go downstairs and get them myself. However, they still made no effort to make this stay better.
-on our final day I decided to speak to another manager to get something done about this horrible visit... Foolish of me, why would I think anyone in this staff has a clue about customer service? I explained the wait times to get things, the $20 I was only getting back, the mold in the toilets, and the refusal to put trash bags in the trash cans. Her response, 'well sir, the resort fee takes care of room service and the amenities... And as for the mold, did you request a new room? Also we don't use trash bags, the housekeeping people just wipe them out after every use' my response, 'so you are telling me I have to pay for amenities? And why would I HAVE to request a new room... Maybe your staff should get under policy and clean the rooms properly so I don't have to take MORE time out of my day for your incompetence.' she said, 'I'm sorry, there is nothing I can do.' I then had to be that customer that calls corporate, which I HATE that customer.
So, I called corporate, and they are in RAGE about this hotel and are going to be putting this hotel under review. If you feel this place is for you, go right ahead. However, I will continue to stay at Ramada's because they are very nice hotels, but as corporate said, 'this hotel is following none of our policies and action will be taken with a follow up of what we do'. Finally, some customer service.
Do know this, we highly enjoyed our trip and Disney was amazing as always. Disney will always get a five star plus rating from me."

"The rooms were very dirty, the bed sheets had wholes in them. It smelled like humidity. The bathrooms and furniture looked very unsanitary. I got what I paid for, but the cleaning of a hotel shouldn't be this bad. I don't even think this place is sanitary to stay in. Wouldn't recommend"

"My family and I came down for five days for a spring break getaway. We are owners of a timeshare, but due to a last minute decision had to book a hotel. We were actually impressed with the Ramada Maingate West. The indoor pool and hot tub were very convenient. We felt comfotable with our teens walking down to the pool area together. The arcade could be updated some and not all the games worked, but was ok for just killing time. We would book here again if needed."

"we stayed in a family fun sweet with our 3 children. The room was clean and not at all musty smelling like some of the other florida hotels we have stayed at. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were awesome and great entertainment as it rained our first day and it was cold outside. The staff was friendly and very accomodating. We called and asked for extra blankets, towels and pillows and they brought them promptly. Our only complaint would be the servers at the breakfast buffet. They were rude and failed to bring us our coffee/drinks for over 30 minutes even after several reminders. They acted annoyed that we had children with us. Other than that it was pleasant and conveniently located to the theme parks without paying the outrageous costs of the disney resorts.. A great deal and a great time and we will be staying here from now on."

"The hotel bathroom was very dirty. I told the front desk, they offererd a different room but it was as dirty as the original. I went to the supermarket, got Ajax, gloves and scrubed the tub. That is not what people on vacations do. Will never stay at Ramada again."

"This hotel is okay for the price. The internet contection rarely worked. Our room came with free breakfast, but the waitresses there kept reminding us, that we need to leave a trip for them every morming and complaining how little they get paid. My biggest compaint comes from when we were checking out, even though I had already prepaid the room via bookit, they had charged my credit a second time for the hotel stay. I am so glad that I caught this and had they refund the money. Please remember to check your bill and credit before leaving this hotel, what you think is a great deal for a price could cost you what it would at a nicer resort."
