I know I said this last time we stayed here but nothing has changed this is the best resort I have ever stayed in, we love it. I could live here it is that good, the staff are fantastic, the apartments are beautiful, it has everything and more you could ask for, we stayed in the West villiage. Unless you are really interested in buying into a timeshare avoid the spill, just say NO thanks. If I lived in the USA I would buy into this resort. We stayed in the West Village at the end of March over spring break. We had a two bedroom condo on a top floor with kitchen, living room, and large eating area. The patio was screened it and we could see the Disney fireworks from our patio at night. The room was very clean. We were asked to take part in a time share talk and gave a firm no thank you and we weren't bothered again. This property is huge. It's like 4 different properties. We stayed two years ago in a two bedroom unit in North Village. Although the unit was beautiful, it was not walking distance to the pool. We had to drive which meant we all had to go and leave at the same time. This time we stayed at River Island, which has two 8 story buildings. Our 1 bedroom unit had a full kitchen,a dining area, a large bathroom, separate bedroom and living room with a sleeper sofa, a washer and dryer, and a screened p... Read more

We visit here all the time. This is our go to place when we are in this area. Nice upgraded rooms and great property with fantastic amenities. Most of all we love the lazy river, the kids club , the gym and the daily activities. There is a Publix next door so we buy our own food most times. The rooms have washer and dryer and all appliances.

Even though a tropical storm has dumped a ton of rain on us, this week, we have all had a blast! We love staying at River Island, when we bring the grandkids (what kid wouldn't like staying at a waterpark?). You could a fun-filled week, without leaving the resort but if you do, all Orlando has to offer, is close by. The villas are well appointed and the staff are great!! We have not left yet and we already can't wait to come back!

Decent accommodations for the price. We used a third party so IHG would not honor the points :( when we got home I noticed the charges to our room seemed higher than I remembered. I called and they said they would get back to me. Two weeks later I had to call again. Someone charged $85 meal to our room. Signature was not mine but looked like they tried to copy it. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo on the resort. It was great to have our own kitchen to make breakfast & dinner in, as well as a washer & dryer. I felt comfortable venturing out in the resort each morning to run. The pools & mini-golf gave us a nice alternative to Disney/Universal/Beach. It was also great to be so close to Walgreens, Target, & dining. Not a bad drive to Disney from here.

We were told that after she sat through the the meeting, they would give us our park tickets at "Wholesale Prices". They wanted to charge $30 more for the same tickets, I could get at the park. I would have liked to have given this resort a higher rating, however, I simply can not. When we arrived, we were more than pleased about the four bedrooms and four baths, large kitchen and living area as well as a deck that went the entire length of the suite. I had always wanted to take my kids to Disney so one of my coworkers overheard me mention that I couldn't afford it. So she offered her time share to me for about $500 which was a true blessing. It's really quite hard to get a view of what to expect before you visit. This complex is so big that it takes 5 minutes to drive to the highway! Lovely apartment, very spacious and all the facilities that you would expect. The first block that were allocated was far too close to the highway so traffic noise was deafening. We complained immediately and were allocated a new apartment. In general, great place, shops are poor quality but plenty of good shops nearby so no issues. Staff were gre... Read more

I decided to book my last few nights of my holiday to Florida at this resort as from the photos I viewed it seemed a really nice place to stay. But let's just put it this way, it isn't as nice as it looks on a screen. You would think after paying out all the money to stay at the resort you wouldn't have to pay $9 to hire a rubber ring for the day to float round a lazy river...but you do. Just like you have to pay for every single other water sport there. Speaking of the water, the pools were v... Read more

Overall I will start with saying that we had a great stay in Florida and at HI Club Vacations Orange Lake. We did not originally look at this resort but friends of ours recommended it. It did appeal to us as we wanted a place where we had the home comforts like kitchen, washer/dryer, living room with also the benefits of hotel with pools etc. We booked via Virgin Holidays so were able to avoid resort tax which is a bonus and as we had already brought our Disney/Universal passes in UK avoided t... Enjoyed a Friday/Saturday stay in the older two story villa building. Our unit was on the second floor, walk up. Very clean, spacious and nicely updated. Large balcony porch over looked, which I believe is the original golf course. Parking was convenient, right in front of villa, but also off main resort road so you need to be careful pulling in and out. There was enough parking for both of our cars. Condo was nice with 2 queens in 1 room and king in master. Location is very convenient to all ... Read more

The resort is lovely and situated less than half an hour from the Disney theme parks. We stayed in the north village in a 2 bed apartment. The apartment is massive the main bedroom had a super king size bed and ensuite bathroom and shower room. The second bedroom has two double beds and there is a foldout sofa bed so there is technically space to sleep up to 8. There is a massive kitchen, diner and living room space all well appointed! The pool is a short drive away or you can use the shuttle b... Read more

We had stayed here for a week and a fantastic day ended recently. The apartment allotted to us was fabulous and equipped with all the latest time and it is required for your family stay. However I found one small flaw that there is no mechanism of collecting the garbage or if it is there not properly known to us. Which should have been informed during the check in. Still I highly recommend this hotel.

This resort is huge ! We stay 4 days 3 nights in a two bedroom villa. Based on what we utilized and experienced I can give this resort 3 stars. Had I had a better experience with the staff it would have been 4. And if I had time to go to any of the pools or extra activities I could have given a better review out of 5. Pros - Check in was easy, we were able to get our room early at no extra cost at 11am. - the rooms are fully stocked with everything you need, including complimentary laundry det... Read more

Was here end September to mid October. Bungalow was very dated, comfy but dark and dingy. On check in time share were at their best but stuck to my guns, wasn't interested. Didn't realise that you have to pay extra for everything at the river bit where the lazy creek is, $9 each for a tube and your not allowed in the water unless you have a tube, slides were $3 a slide per person unless you went to their time share meeting then you get a pass. We were going to water parks but felt this was a rip... Read more

We stayed here for a night after driving up from Miami. The resort is easy to get to from the local interstate. The feel of the resort is very child friendly with lots of activities for younger people. We decided to drive off site to eat as we wanted to explore the local area. There were lots of restaurants on the doorstep which made it very easy. The beds were very comfortable but the pillows were a little lumpy. It was very nice to sit in the hot tub, nice way to finish the evening. This site... Read more

We were extremely disappointed and checked out an hour after checking in. Approx 9:30pm - After checking in, we were directed to a different reception desk to collect our 'parking voucher'. However, at this desk, we were heavily pressurised to attend a time share meeting. We explained that we weren't interested and that we were tired after travelling for approx 16 hours, it was late and we had our two young children, aged 6 & 9 years old with us and the member of staff wouldn't take no for an ... Orange Lake is a fantastic holiday destination, right on the doorstep to the Disney attractions. Golf courses on site, several swimming pools, poolside bars and activities for adults and children throughout the day. The gym/fitness centres are free to use. There are tennis courts and racquetball courts, with free use of the courts and rackets but you'll either need to bring your own balls or buy them at time of hiring the rackets. We have recently returned from a 14 day holiday at the resort and have mixed feeling on staying. As mentioned on previous reviews when we arrived we were invited and tempted by cheap attraction tickets to view time share, however Idid not think it was a hard sell and a firm 'No thanks' was sufficient to stop the sell. Reception was efficient and directions to apartment and resort facilities were good. Overall our 3 bedroom apartment was good, well appointed, 3 en-suite rooms 1 with bath and a ... Read more

My husband and 11 year old daughter stayed for a week through an RCI vacation certificate and were really pleased with the location of the resort and amenities. We were not happy with our interior room in the main building in the West Village, as there was no daylight and the room looked into an interior courtyard. However, it served our purposes as base camp for a week at Disney, and had been updated with new decor. Bed was incredibly comfortable. Grounds are clean and well maintained, Bree... Read more

Well I haven't been back in a few years since my son outgrew the Orlando experience until this past week. Having shipped my son safely off to college it was my turn to just get away. Upon arriving I informed them that I was back after many years & asked that they put in a nice unit. They did. Unit 2027 is a newly renovated condo in the West Village. I loved it. ... Read more

This is a HUGE resort with five distinct areas. There is no walking around everywhere. A rental car or using the shuttles and Uber/Lyft is a must. Our rooms were amazing. Beautiful, spacious, immaculate and close to the attractions if that's what you're heading to Orlando area for. (Resort property abuts Disney). A huge complex. We arrived expecting to have just rented a typical Holiday Inn room but had the same 2 bedroom deluxe suites that the resort owners get, but at the price of a regular hotel room.
