The resort has a first class staff. From check in to check out nothing but smiling happy faces and friendly greetings. A chilled glass of champagne is a great way to greet guests. The room we had on the third floor was free of noise which we greatly enjoyed.

From start to finish this resort was amazing!! We were greeted by Ian the very friendly porter!! He gave us a glass of champagne to start while we checked in!! He told us all about the hotel and our room, he even got a bottle of champagne delivered to our room as it was my wife's 30th birthday. The hotel was just amazing for the beautiful sunset every evening, the hotels jetty is perfect to watch this with a glass of bubbly! Superb hotel, Every year we take a two week bike tour of the outline of Florida; we always stay at least two or three days in Key West and always try to stay at the Hyatt Key West, And as always when you get 5 or 6 guys putting together last minute arrangements ( even though we do this every year ) sometimes we are to late to book this hotel. and we are always disappointed because nothing else stacks up; Cleanliness, atmosphere , helpfu... This was our ultimate destination and off my bucket list to ride the motorcycles to key west. This hotel is perfect. It actually is on the ocean and has a small beach. Food and drinks are reasonable and they also provide free parking. The area for motorcycles is actually covered by trees. The hotel is next to duval street so once you park you can walk. Serve Starbucks coffee in the lobby and great key lime pie. Would come back in a heartbeat

Pros: Great location! Close to Duval St. and Mallory Square. Drinks and Food at Blue Mojito especially the Seafood and Lobster Sliders. Front desk service, upon arrival a glass of champagne. Cons: deluxe king with a partial view is truly a partial view of parking lot and a sliver of the ocean otherwise room was fine. First off, we were very concerned going into this trip to the various Keys b/c we'd correctly heard that the beaches were limited or non-existent. However, this resort exceeded all expectations, and frankly, even though I thought w/o a beach, this would fall short, I was wrong. This resort is wonderful in every aspect!! If you want to be close to the action (near Duval St), then I recommend staying here. This is a wonderful resort, right on the water, on Front St. Decent pool area with adjacent bar/restaurant. Nice hotel, we got a great room, great bed, great bathroom, big tv, balcony. One block away from the sunset pier, with all their crazy "performers" at sunset. They rent mopeds and four wheelers right at the hotel, which would come in handy if you want to explore the whole island. (That's right, Key West IS an island) Our room service breakfast was as good as I've had in category seven hotels. Al in all, a very nice lodging experience for a very modest price.

To start out, I got mixed feelings about Key West in general. It was hot, crowded, expensive, and really did not have any beautiful beaches. The resort had some nice details (the turtles, welcome champagnes, nice view from restaurant and room), but also some unpleasant experiences making it the first Hyatt property that I rank lower than a 4.
