"Dont stay here. The pictures look nice and I think it is rated as a 3 star hotel. Its a bit of a dive and cleanliness is not something that they strive for in the rooms. Felt like I needed to keep my shoes on the whole time I was in my room."

"I made a reservation for 1 night with, I have my printed confirmation that the stay was for only 1 night. At check out the front desk said I was charged for 2 more nights, and that they could not do anything. . Terrible customer service. Lexington hotel did not help me fix the problem, they said I was on my own.

I did like the pantene shampoo and Vaseline hand lotion mini size, that I did appreciate."

"It's all about the experience you expect for the money you pay for the service, and in that regard, I think the hotel overall exceeded my expectations. 2 major pluses were the staff and the pool / hot tub. I could have just as easily stayed at a place for the price I paid without either of those.

The room itself was acceptable, but just barely. Tub was quite rusted, and the door frame was largely rotted with extra wood affixed to hold the dead bolt."

"This hotel was a huge disappointment from the time we checked in to check-out. We arrived after a 4 hr drive from Miami at 3 pm. to find our room wasn't ready (this was no big surprise as check-in is 4 pm), so we decided to just hang out at the pool, but found it closed (due to 'ADA regs' to install a 'pool lift') and it stayed closed the entire time we were there (we never saw anyone working on it). We decided to go sight seeing and were told our room would be ready at 3:45. We came back at 3:50 and room was not ready until 4:10. Other issues were TV would die then come back, paper cups in room, booked two queens but at check in were told they only had full beds, overall poor quality, We would never stay there again. but loved Key West."

"I was disappointed with the actual hotel! While some of these reviews are a little extreme, they are not complete lies! First of one of the reasons we picked this hotel was bc the pool pictures looked really good, well the pool was closed the whole weekend and we found out it has been closed for a couple weeks and they do not know when it will reopen. The bathroom / shower really need to be update or soaked in bleach. The carpets were VERY stained (we did NOT walk around barefoot)! Also other then to get the luggage up and down we didn't not use the elevator! We hiked up and down the stairs, and we were on 4th floor! This hotel need A LOT of TLC! or just renovate! I will say the front desk staff and concierge were friendly and helpful, and love the free shuttle to downtown."

"The rates are low as they should be. The hotel was dirty and ill maintained. Yes, the traffic and construction is awful, but I can't fault the hotel for that. I can fault them for filthy carpet and bath, rusty shower stall, non-function exhaust fan, broken toilet, terrible coffee service, and just adequate amenities (soap, shampoo, etc).

The good parts? You'll have a nice view of the Gulf from the top floors (takes guts to ride the decrepit elevator) and the breeze is fantastic. Would I go to Key West again, never during 'the season.' Strongly recommend all us natives go in August or September when the snow birds are eleswhere. The ocean/gulf breezes make it nice even in 95 temps."

"What a dump. It is quite a ways from downtown and everything. They do give you a shuttle bus that runs about every 20 minutes. The rooms....horrible. Stains on the carpet, doors that are delaminating, a bathroom that hasnt been updated in 20 years, blinds that didnt work and hadnt ever been cleaned, budget linens, towels that arent big enough to dry your feet, The pictures really dont do the place justice. I was continually looking for a painted outline of a body on the floor!"
