We arrived around 4ish on Tuesday evening around 4ish, the check in people were kind of taciturn but not rude, we booked the last two queen rooms, no view, next time we will go with ocean view. The rooms were small but very clean with a fridge. The door did not completely fit but the ac worked fine, lots of fresh towels and beach towels. The shower ran hot to cold to scalding needs to be fixed. The shuttle drivers were great and punctual, the bar serves excellent organic cocktails and the stoned... Read more

This resort has everything you need to enjoy Key West. The bus takes you back and forth from Duval, they have a beach and a pool. A bar right at the pool and everything is decorated like you're at the Jersey Shore in 1960! That was part of why we loved it. They have kayaking, paddle boarding, jet ski and one of the best seafood restaurants in all of the keys right on property. We live in Key West and had family come down to visit. They stayed there and we hung out with them. Totally enjoyed it a... Read more

Was a little bit skeptical about this place. We were coming down to stay there for 3 nights 4 days and we figured let's roll the dice the pricing really good we'll stay there. When we pulled into the parking lot we were shocked at how nice the place actually looks forget that it's located near a couple shopping centers and a couple miles away from Duval Street when you're sitting outside your room and a hammock and looking at the water you don't even realize you're near a busy road. We were a bit cautious about booking the Ibis Bay having read reviews that indicated rooms were tiny. However, after our initial reaction which was - yeah it's small - we realised that it was perfectly adequate for our purposes. The Ibis Bay website helpfully provides 360s so you can preview your room and it looked exactly like this. We had a room in the main part of the hotel - the smallest there was - and for a couple it was perfectly fine. Yes, the shower is on the small side - especially if... Read more

We booked the Ibis because it was difficult to find another the weekend we were going (It turned out to be a songwriter festival). The hotel was clean with a friendly staff. The rooms were freshly painted, but we did hear everything outside. There is a great pool there and the shuttle that goes downtown which is very helpful (although it stops running at 10 pm... and everyone knows that things go much later in Key West). We also had lunch at the restaurant, The Stoned Crab, which was v... Read more

Had a great time at Ibis Bay. We had a room with a queen bed on the 1st floor. No complains about the room. It served its purpose. It was clean and the a/c kept our room nice and cool! The free downtown shuttle runs from 8a-10p. Nice pool with bar. Had a great breakfast at the stoned crab on site. Fed our left over sausage to the Sharks. The staff was awesome. Will definitely stay again.

I recently stayed in this resort. I chose this one because it looks very colorful and charming. The room could definitely use some freshening up and attention to detail regarding paint, tile work, and bedding. The shuttle did not work out much for our stay, mostly because it stops picking up at the last couple of locations very early. We took the pink cab back when the shuttle was not available. I think it was $5/person from Duval St. I had high hopes for the Stoned Crab restaurant on site... Read more

My wife and I had to stay here one night on our trip down to the keys, At first glance, the exterior of the resort is nice and hammocks everywhere, but moments after getting there EVERYTHING changed. We were first hit with a "resort" fee which doesnt seem too bad given the rest of the stay, The rooms are supposed to each have character, but our room was in some EXTREME need of renovations. We walked in and saw a few flying bugs around our room, ended up killing those. Was time for bed and peeled... Read more

We have a time share in the Keys but wanted to go early to avoid holiday traffic so we booked 3 nights. Our room had 2 queen beds & was a nice size. We really liked walking out the sliding glass doors, sitting on patio with view & feel of being right on the water. Hammock very comfortable too. Make sure you request a Beach Front room (rooms 207-211?) as I don't think some of the other room locations would be as nice. Our room was very clean. We liked parking in front of room & not having a car... Read more

The Ibis Bay resort is delightful. The rooms are decorated in a retro style, and while not terribly modern, they are clean, functional, and not lacking in necessities. The shuttle was convenient to downtown and all of the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. We look forward to returning!

The stay was very nice. Our room and the facility was very clean. The rooms and property were very cute. I loved the look and style. The staff was friendly. I liked the fact that they offered a free bus to downtown! There are hammocks all over the property too and that was relaxing to lay in. We ate at the Stone crab restaurant on the property and I thought it was over priced for what you get, but that was another review. I would definitely stay here again!

our family of 4 just stayed at ibis bay. from the minute we checked in, we loved it. the staff was spectacular! the resort is clean and welcoming. it's cute and fun without being over the top. the food was excellent and the drinks amazing. our kids loved all the "pets". we had to check on the tortoises morning and night. just a great place.

Lots of retro charm and killer views from the "sandy beach" rooms with the hammocks. Beach is on a bay, it's not for swimming. Pros: unique charm, vintage elements, resident parrots, tortoises. Wild iguanas hang out. Water sports on site for $$. Nice pool though you see highway from it, it's not secluded. Low-key vibe, romantic for people who want to get away from the Duval street party scene. Cons: 1) shoebox bathrooms, too small for a family 2) no phones in rooms(booking website sai... Read more

The hotel staff is super nice. The room was cute and made you feel like you were on the beach. We had a hammock on our porch and that was neat. There is a bus that brings you to the downtown area and the beach that runs every hour. I wish it ran on the half hr mark and once downtown it is hard to remember without the map where the bus pickups are so we had to either taxi or wait for our friends to get off of work to come and pick us up. The restaurant is excellent!!

I booked this resort to have some down time while on vacation and to have a beach, a pool, and nighttime entertainment. We arrived at 4PM and were greeted by everyone that was working. We had a short wait to check in do to others in line, but our room was ready and after they told us where everything was we went to the room. The room was amazing, it was beautifully decorated. We were on a 15-day road trip and took time out here at this beautiful relaxing place for 3 nights. We could park right outside the room. Housekeeping team was excellent, very clean room and beautiful view of the beach and water, there are little fish in the bay. The hammocks were fun and plenty of iguanas came to visit us! There was no problem getting a sunlounger at the pool despite the hotel being full. Friendly Italian pool manager made our afternoons very pleasant. A/C Unit was good because... Read more

Having never traveled to Key West not sure were we stay, choose Ibis Resort as the price was right compared to other resorts. We enjoyed that they had a shuttle from the resort to the main drag of Key West, and did have to find parking. Was just there a day ago loved this place. The room was a nice size we had a patio by the beach side watched wave runners go by and boats. The best part is we parked right in front of our room and didn't move the car for two days. They have a bus shuttle that stops at four different stops which we didn't know about until we checked in. That was a big plus for us instead of trying to find a parking spot in Key West. They drop you off at places that are walking distance to a lot of the attractions... Read more

We really enjoyed the hotel and the staff. Everyone is so nice. The room is VERY clean. Our room looked over the water, and had two separate entrances. It was well equipped with a fridge and two beds, and couch. It was a lovely stay. The front desk and concierge desk were very well trained and very nice. We booked two excursions through the concierge desk, a snore trip, (cancelled due to weather, and parasailing which was fabulous!). The only thing, there is no coffee in the room and no ... Read more

We had a room without a view, but it was clean and comfortable. It was very small and basic - I could have used a small table to set my laptop on while I was working. Usable wifi would also be helpful.Be aware there is a resort fee charged whether you plan to use the facilities or not. There is a shuttle bus that makes 5 stops in town, which we used on our first day. When we got on the bus, the driver was watching you tube videos of people being confrontational at traffic stops. We stayed at this hotel because off the beach front rooms. The hotel is expensive but great. It has a European ambiance to it. The rooms are small but very well decorated. The only downside to the room is the lack of a safe and the hinges and locks are not secure. The hotel is at the beginning of the town, next to highway 2, but you can not hear the traffic at all. After arriving at the hotel by car, we immediately knew that we HAVE to extend our stay! So we went to reception and we spontaneously booked a second night - the lovely (she was awesome!) lady at the desk (from Marocco, I can't remember her name - shame on me) did everything that we didn't even have to move our room, so we could stay in the same room. Came for our 10yr Anniversary got a cheap room it's not like we are staying in the room for very long, it really surprised me its a small room upstairs but clean!! and the shuttle service is awesome, parking near Duval street or Mallory square is $30. So a bus that runs every hour is so worth it! We will definitely be booking here in the future.

This hotel is around 4-5 km away from Key West downtown. Nice thing: They are offering a shuttle bus to 4 different destinations in the city, including one beach area. We upgraded our room from economic to waterside for 50 USD per night, but that was not worth it. The problem is that the hotel is at the gulf coast water side, and that water is extremely shallow, quiet and therefore it smells due to the lack of movement. You cannot swim, or you can´t even go inside, because it is full of plants.... Read more

This place is quite a catch for Key West visiting. Adorable, affordable and more "Keys-like", than most of the places in KW. Although it's a little out of town, you are but a shuttle ride away, on the "Life Is Too Short" bus, which will take you into town and help you avoid the aggravation of parking there. The on-sight restaurant, "The Stoned Crab" is SO nice! Great food in an open air, beautiful setting, along with its bar AND the pretty amazing pool (nice and warm and clean!) and friendly... This site was recommended by the receptionist at the Southwinds Motel, a local resident. I had looked at another provider, and found this one to be more reputable, more flexible in rental hours, and cheaper. This was the first time I took out a glass-bottom kayak. It's like snorkeling with a full body mask! It was wonderful, made more so by the patient, friendly, and knowledgeable aquatics staff person. This was a great experience!

This was our first visit to Key West so we booked this hotel on the basis of some online research.Sometimes that way you win, sometimes not so much. The good points: The price was reasonable. It's easy to find. Parking is free. It's clean. The staff are friendly. There is free coffee in reception. There is a free shuttle bus to downtown. Not so good: It's far enough out of town that you need that shuttle. The "beach" isn't really. You certainly wouldn't choose to get in the water from it. T... Read more
