They do a great job of creating a 50s bohemian atmosphere. Room is comfortable and fun. Nice pool with a bar. On site Stoned Crab Restaurant good for breakfast, didn't have any other meals there. Convenient shuttle service. Lots of onsite activities with an activities desk in the lobby. For KW, pretty reasonable. They represent themselves as having a beach. They don't. They have a sandy area with rocks against the water line. I wouldn't want to get in the water as it is shallow and grassy. But ... Read more

I stayed at the Ibis Bay resort for the first time on my recent trip to Key West. I had a beachfront room which allowed me to have two doors (one to enter the room and the other to exist onto the beach area.) Each beachfront room has a hammock for guests to enjoy the cool breeze coming from the waters. I did a lot of bird watching and I saw a lot of fun, friendly creatures roaming around. The room was nice and clean even though the hotel has been in existence for many years. Having The Ston... Read more

Stayed at the IBIS Bay recently. It is a small motel, with a nice pool, and connected to acclaimed Stone Crab restaurant. Its attitude is laid back, like the town it serves. I had the smallest room possible, barely big enough to hold the bed, no closet or drawers, equally small bathroom. They charged a one time resort fee, and not sure what that's for, really, cuz despite its name its not a resort. Room was never cleaned untl at least 330 pm./ BUT.... all that being said, the staff is f... Read more

We've been visiting Key West twice a year since 2013 and tried to stay loyal to just one hotel, because it was all we knew at the time, and the guess services were really nice. But since then, management has been changing everything around, and all the people that we like had moved on. That hotel was no longer fun anymore. So we discovered Ibis Bay Beach Resort. It was just one of those things where you wish you discovered it from the very beginning. It has all that Key West is all about. From... Read more

I love the interior design and the bed was very comfortable. I loved so much the patio outside and the water view. I had breakfast at the restaurant there and it was good. Service wasn't excellent but it's fine. If I ever go back to key west i may go back.

We checked into the Ibis on a Friday. We booked through Expedia and were given a standard room. The room was small. But well worth the money. On Monday after the holiday, I asked to be upgraded. I was upgraded for a small fee per night to a beautiful 1 bedroom Oceanfront room! Wow. The room was amazing. It had a nice porch with a hammock, chairs and lounge chairs. The A/C worked nice and the shower was warm! The restaurant and staff are amazing. We ate at the restaurant at least 3 t... Read more

This hotel is in a very cramped area with parking being very tight. The beach was horrible and stunk but the room was clean yet very small. The shower is tiny and it will blast hot water at you every now and then. Great staff but just not the place for us

I am very disappointed on this hotel over presentation. Pictures provided overstated the quality of the resort. There are only some rooms with view to the bay and neither chairs nor hammocks are in the number that the resort claims. I had to drag a chair from far to be able to sit down with my bride in front of the swampy water front. I tried speaking to the service desk and explaining my disappointment about my room and expectations and was answer with contempt as to the possibilities to change... Read more

We stayed here on Father's Day weekend. We were 4 adults and 2 kids and we had a wonderful family room with 3 queen beds right on the water. This is an old world, key style hotel and very charming. Our room was clean and well appointed. The A/C worked great. Check in was easy and efficient and all the staff members we encountered were very friendly. We had picnic tables, chairs and hammocks right outside our door and it was nice to visit with other friends who where there as well. There a... Read more

I was in Key West for a wedding...locale easy to find. Greeted warmly by front-desk staff who could answer my many questions, enjoyed the macaw too. Higher end motel style property, back side of property with hammocks and ocean views. We had nearly a dozen folks for dinner on the premises, we all really like seafood & everyone was pleased with their entree and the service. Had a rent a car, but I could see they had plenty of transportation rentals available (mopeds, bikes, etc.) and a comp s... Read more

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while on a short vacation in Key West. The staff was super friendly, clean and cute room with plenty of A/C. The pool area was well maintained and offered lots of poolside seating for relaxing in the sun or shade. The beach area with hammocks was super relaxing and perfect for after dinner chill time or some yoga. We will return for sure.

We are original from Cuba and this place just looks like home. The way they decorated this place and the rooms are amazing. Is beautiful! Great location, very clean, excellent room service and outstanding customer service. You have everything you want here. Waters sports, kayaks, everything. And a very nice restaurant on the property. A bit expensive, but great food. Is worth it. The best breakfast I had in years! Highly recommended.

We staid in an oceanview suite with a really nice view and Iguanas as frequent guests at our backyard. Nice! Clean and convinient with a shuttle bus to the central parts of the island. Free wifi but that was very slow and we got logged out now and then. A quite spacy refrigerator but no water boiler or coffebrewer, and only a couple of plastic mugs. Giving it a 5***** because their front desk Tracey was so awesome that I just couldn't bring myself to give them anything less than that! We booked a 5 night stay in one of their waterfront rooms PROS: Awesome views of the bay, nice pool, great location, super cute 1950's styles room! CONS: Their Stoned Crab restaurant sucks, is super pricey and slow service. You can't charge the food or drinks to your room either! No telephone in the room or room service! This vacation has been everything I can wish for and more. The main reason I have been so pleased was because of the amazing hotel staff. They were super accommodating. It was my first visit to the keys and I k ew that it was little out of town and I thought this won't be a problem. But actually it was. We switched to this resort as we wanted to be closer to the water. On arrival we checked in smoothly despite the resort being quite full with it being a weekend, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. There is ample parking across the site though parking adjacent to your room may be hampered by Richard Cranium and his poorly parked pickup which will no doubt take up three slots. My husband and I booked a room here for 2 nights. When we got there we found the room was so small, you literally have about 2 feet around the bed and that's it. The bathroom was extremely small as well! They would not refund us our money when we would not stay another night. We moved hotels even though they would refund us! So we ended up paying for two hotels for 1 night, but it was totally worth it! Spend a little extra money and get a nice hotel. You get what you pay for!
