Even though the motel is obviously older (from the '50s or earlier) it is freshly painted and very clean. The air-conditioning will turn you into an icicle and there was no adjusting it. There were no blankets and just a thin sheet and thin bedspread on the two full size beds. Their free- wifi needs a bigger router as it is mostly inaccessible. There is a nice pool area and two short walkways/piers into the bay. There were people fishing from the pier. The water was crystal clear and you could ... Read more

Ok. The hotel it's older, it needs to be painted. The rooms are dingy. There is mold in the bathrooms, broken door frames, the mattresses have a curve to them. I would recommend this place as a last resort. On another note, the staff is pleasant and courteous.

We chose this motel as it was close to where we needed to be and offered free parking and a beach....I wouldn't say beach I'd say more boat slip way with boat docking area but pretty all the same! Slight false advertising to be honest. The pool is very tiny, more like a dip pool and it's located next to the outdoor bar and dining area. The room was spacious but needs a serious update and lick of paint, the air conditioning worked perfectly tho unlike the dodgy intermittent wifi! The beds weren't... Read more

I hate to bash someone's business, but I have to be honest in its current condition, I would not stay here again. It is in desperate need of updates and repairs. My husband's bath towel had blood on it and our room was dumpy. The pool had a glossy layer of funk on it, and we could barely see the bottom of it. We actually left and went to another resort's pool. And check out the outside of our door in the pics. On the positive side the lady who checked us in and the ladies on the grounds were nic... Ok on clean, but every thing needs to be updated. Before adding another coat of paint need to strip the earlier 27. There are only a very few rooms that have a view. Ours was a shed and a very small scrub pine. That said, outside the room, down by the bay was beautiful. And the Snooks restaurant next door was excellent. Bayside, also within stumbling distance, also was great. And the Walgreens and CVS right across the street made it very convenient,

This was a very nasty place to stay the rooms were okay. They were all tile floors and not clean very well. Although the room was relatively clean there was peeling paint on the walls. There air conditioning filter also hadn't been cleaned I cleaned it myself when I came in the room. The beach they talked about was nothing more than a sand covered boat ramp into the Gulf of Mexico that was primarily filled with sludge. The pool was closed with a yellow sun faded sign that says open tomorrow. I... Read more

Simple, clean room. Room had clean and perfectly working small fridge and microwave. Small pool and typical small Keys beach. Nice lounge chairs and hammock. Stunning sunset viewing off fishing dock in back of Inn. Situated next door to Snook's and guest get 10% discount on Snook's food bill. In the heart of Key Largo and just minutes from John Pennekamp, restaurants and shops.

We booked on line while down in Key West. The pictures looked good and the price was a little too good. Really, it was too good to be true. That is because the pictures do not show the filth and prostitutes. I took my son into the office to check in. We ran into 2 hookers waiting for their business room. We walked down by the water and it was very small but moreover- it was filthy, both the water area with pollution and the sand area with cigarette buts and bottles. We checked out the... Read more

Before I got to the hotel, I read all the reviews and was horrified. We were staying for a wedding and had already booked the hotel, so I was prepared for the worst based on what others said. So, here it is from my POV: Key Largo strikes me as an older town. Everything seemed to have a bit of dinge on it to be honest. Think '50s/'60s without much having been updated. Yes, the hotel could use a bit of paint, but the floors in our room were clean as was the tub and sink area. There was a mic... Read more

We stayed here for the first time in 1992 on our way to Key West. This became our go to place to decompress on our first day of vacation. Good basic rooms with a great bayside location. Snook's next door is our first day hangout right on the bay. We have stayed her over 20 times.

I love this little Gulf side hotel. This is truly one of the best hotels in Key Largo. Went down for Mother's Day weekend and was overjoyed with the service, cleanliness, and overall feel of the resort. We got there a little early, but they let us change and hang out at the pool while they prepared our room. There was a bar right next door and we were able to grab drinks and still watch the kids AND the sunset. You HAVE to go to the Sushi restaurant on property. A-MAZE-ZING. We had 6 of u... Read more

I got what I paid for. The good: air con was good, there was plenty of hot water, and the roof didn't leak. They did have a hair dryer bracket (but no hair dryer) The bad: while the rooms where technically clean, the rest of the grounds were filthy. Paint was literally peeling off the walls in our room. Light bulbs were missing. TV sucked....yeah it's a big LCD, but with an analog signal so the picture quality is from the '60's. I won't complain about the breakfast because they had lots... Read more

With what I was charged (and was assured more than once by more than one person that there was no "mark-up" on the hotel rooms) booking this room through the business I purchased my trip from, I proceeded to book an extra night in addition to the 3 nights offered in the trip package. The room cleaning staff were extremely slow and yet the rooms were simply in an acceptable condition. The AC, did work, but was in a dilapidated condition, the windows were filthy and the curtains were hung with n... Read more

Sadly this hotel needs a little bit of TLC, but you can survive there if you don't mind this. Has a gorgeous sunset view from the beach, fast food and restaurants within walking distance. Friendly staff and courteous. Please take care of this hotel because it has more to offer ???

Stay away from this hotel. The property is run down and poorly managed. The "bayview King room" is far from what the description said it would be. We will never return to this property. Go down the street to the pelican or sunset cove and you won't be disappointed.

We stayed in a downstairs room that was so neglected and run down, even the door looked as if it had already been kicked in. The floors, corners, and bed linens were dirty. And every electronic device was plugged in to an overloaded, octopus-like outlet strip. Our room did not even have a new electronic key (like others in the motel). It still had a regular key that could be duplicated at any store nearby. The cable was snowy like an old 70s tv. The connection to the wall was so flimsy, the... Read more

We rented suite over pool area. The rooms were dirty and not maintained. Bathroom had mildew all over shower area. Sliding glass door tracks full of dead insects and worms. Kitchen area very dirty and base of cabinets rotted and falling apart. On our 2nd night fire detector started to chirp every 30 seconds (meaning low battery) could not stop because it was on a 12" ceiling. Called emergancy # because no one is on sight for 12 hours a day. We were told no one would be one site till 7 am. We had... Read more

We have gone to Bayside Inn for years as a little getaway from Miami.Usually get a balcony with a view of the bay. This time it ended up being on the ground floor, so was not happy. I went to the desk and was told they were totally booked. I said I wanted the best room there. I hurriedly looked online on their own website - I had booked through Booking.Com - and found the king bedroom suite for $100 more per night. It showed available. I called and was told by a manager - who was in Orego... Read more

Older hotel in need of updates but overall it was clean and comfortable. There during first week of lobster season and everything was booked. Front desk clerk was friendly and very good. She explained everything and check in was quick.
