Very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. Rooms were very small as were the bathrooms, Staff was friendly and the pool area was alright. Couldn't believe that they made you pay for coffee in the morning. there was no free breakfast of any kind and not even the coffee.

Prices are high for accommodations in the Keys during Spring Break. I thought I'd save some money by staying here as you'll see other chains can be significantly more. However, with breakfast not included and their breakfast options being pricey this was one drawback especially with kids in tow. I felt as if this was an old building where they simply repainted everything and called it remodeled. I want to point out, too the exterior doors of this hotel, as a female traveling alone I would never ... Read more

I was a bit skeptic about staying at a Holiday Inn because my wife is a bit "high maintenance" but overall we were both satisfied with our stay. Good place to stay for the money. Nice outdoor relaxing tiki bar. I just wished they played some island type of music opposed to classic rock, but that's just my personal preference.

We booked this hotel for a 5 night family vacation and I must say it was a nice trip. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and it was in a great location; close to every thing and a 30-40 minute drive to Islamorada. We were close to the pools, yes there are two with a poolside bar in the middle. There was also a hot tub. They lit tiki torches around the pool at night which was added to the tropical ambiance. They only thing is that for the price, the room could have bee... Read more

For the money this is a good value. Good location, nice pool, and friendly staff. The buffet on Sunday at Bogie's Cafe is overpriced. Most of the food is out of a box; frozen. The food at the tiki bar is good; especially the coconut shrimp. Drinks are on the pricey side; around $8. Room and bathroom were clean and beds were comfortable.

Average for the Holiday Inn chain. Room is clean. Room has a mini fridge, this is a plus if you don't want to spend all your money buying hotel price beer and food. There is a publix (grocery store) down the road to buy beer and food. Make sure to ask for more room coffee as they do not provide complimentary coffee unless your a rewards member. My husband and I always try to stay at Holiday Inn Express when available. (We're Gold level -- we've stayed at many Holiday Inns in many cities both in the U.S. and Europe.) This hotel was not a "H.I. Express." They did "upgrade" us to a room poolside. (Room 102) With noise from screaming kids at the pool coming right through our closed door, we didn't consider this much of an upgrade. Would rather have had a bigger and quieter room -- I always request a QUIET room when I book. The room was SMA... Read more

Stayed here for three nights, and the kids had a blast. As hyperactive three year olds, the option of a pool was a godsend. As soon as we woke up they were bouncing off the walls begging to go swimming. The rooms were clean, like actually clean! And the breakfast, though not free, was yummy. Waffles for the twins and bacon and eggs for mom and dad. We enjoyed every bit of our stay. Would definitely recommend you give it a try.

Room was just ok. Bed was good. Hotel is dated and in some ways shows it. My main problem was that I found out after I booked it that there was a discount available through the dive shop and I was told by the staff that I would have to speak with the manager to get the discount. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Key Largo beginning June 11th for two nights. Our room was a standard with two queen beds and it was very comfortable. Our check in experience was good. The front desk clerks were nice and friendly. They were able to give us a room on the first floor which was wonderful. Our room was very clean. Key largo must be busy this weekend because when I went to book my regular places (Marriott or Hilton) they were sold out, so we ended up at The a Holiday Inn. What a dump! Seriously, the place is in need of refurbishment. Guest leave their smelly dive gear hanging outside their doors. Ashtrays and beer bottles are on the "patio" tables all day. Mind you, the patios are also the front doors. It's got a motel feel to it. People are regularly walking up and down the open air walkway and smoking.... Read more

Overnighted at the Hotel on lour journey from Key West to the Gulf Coast. This is a lovely hotel with a great area around the pool for relaxing. There is a great Tiki Bar between the two pools. Looks like a great area for sailing. fishing and diving and the marina is really attractive. We had a room overlooking the marina which was really scenic but that particular building really needs an elevator for guests on the first floor.

Would have given 5 stars but lacked a room safe. The location was perfect for my early morning commute to the Ocean Divers shop and boats. Plenty of food options nearby. Clean room with plenty of space. Great value for the location and super friendly and helpful staff.

We had a good time for 2 nights. worth the price but not a real fancy place. the best part was the heated pool and the tiki hut bar and resturant located right behind the property. short walk, they had great food and perfect atmosphere. overall i would stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. We were welcomed at the check in desk by a very friendly girl who was very helpful and showed us where we needed to go. The room was good, very basic, didn't have a lot of outlets which was a bit frustrating but oh well. The pool and tiki bar were great, loved the atmosphere. We also at at skippers which is the large tiki hut restaurant right next to the marina which was great. Being right on the marina was great, the glass bottom boat was right there at the d... well I'm staying in the holiday inn and every morning I have been woken up either by someone ringing on the phone that's in room or the house keeping trying to get in and it's 9am every morning sometimes even 8:30 am. massive downer. Apart from that lovely people that work here well most of them and the tiki bar is just great. food really good aswell.

We stayed one night when moving around Florida. There is nothing in walking distance to do around this hotel. We wanted to relax around the pool, however other customers were drinking heavily and were very rowdy around both pools, which was off putting so we left. The rooms are big but very tired. Over priced for what it was

Hotel was clean and staff were friendly, easy access from the road and close to stores and restaurants. The breakfast had a decent selection but nothing to write home about. The rooms were clean, quiet, and we had a great view of the marina and waterway.

We were passing through Key Largo from Key West (Stayed at a resort for our wedding) and headed to Miami for a Cruise. Were not necessarily looking for anything super fancy since we just needed a place to sleep and shower. The rooms are clean, but very simple. Very flimsy plastic cups. Very minimal outlets in the room - and hard to reach them to plug in cell phone, table fan, etc. They have onsite laundry with 3 machines - only one worked. Otherwise, the grounds were very well maintained and the... Read more

We had an absolutely enjoyable time at this hotel! We were on a 25-day, 6-state "road trip", and decided to stay here one night, which turned into 4!! The pools were the best we had on our entire trip. There was a regular pool, and a waterfall pool...both good sized. It's like a resort, or destination hotel, not like a "just-passing-through" hotel. They also had 3 stack washer/dryer units in their laundry room, and it was very clean. Not too many restaurants nearby, but it was very conveni... Read more

We have been very disappointed with our stay here. We arrived to be met by a receptionist that was not very friendly at all. Our room was not very clean and was 'tired'. The shower tap unit came away from the wall when we tried to use it and there was a used tissue behind the headboard. Upon asking for a room change we were offered one other room which was not in a great location. We booked this room via Expedia for a rate of $110 per night room only for 3 nights. The pool area OK - a little tir... Read more

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was on our recent stay. The marina view room was very clean and comfortable except for the noisy air-conditioning unit. We were only staying one night or I would have asked to change rooms. Other than that, the entire staff was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast at hotel restaurant was good and not too pricey. The tiki bar was nice, as were the two clean large pools that are surrounded by beautiful palms, you feel like you're in an island. De... Read more

We stayed here two nights as we wanted to see Key West. First impressions from the outside was the hotel looked tired and in need of a lick of paint. On entering the hotel you still get that same feeling and reception really does not some updating but that is all this hotel needs. Reception staff were brilliant and could not have been more helpful and this was true of any visit you paid there. There business area had working terminals and easy and ample access and although we did not use it the ... Read more

My wife and I stayed here two nights in October 2016. It was clean and comfortable, with all-you-can-eat breakfast for $13. All the staff we met - check in, tiki bar, pool, breakfast - were pleasant and friendly. It has two pools and a jacuzzi on site, and offers free use of pools at the Marriott Courtyard and Marina del Mar hotels nearby, as it also manages both. Nice creek-side walk towards the nearby cafe and beyond too. Make sure you ask for a pool (or marina) view room.

Stayed at this Holiday Inn for a dive trip and was pleasantly surprised. We chose this hotel based on the proximity to the dive shops which are within walking distance. Beds were comfortable, which is not always the case. Great pool and poolside bar area for relaxing. The hotel staff were nice and accommodating. Price was higher than I expected but found out it was comparable for the area. Would reccommend

I was pleasantly surprised after reading some less than flattering reviews. Great location. Near restaurants and shops. Rooms -were a little older but beds super comfortable, mini fridge, nice sitting area outside door. Pool - 2 nice sized pools, clean, lots of lounge chairs and tables. Great Tiki bar. I would certainly stay here again.

We ended up staying here for 1 night whilst visiting the Keys. Holiday Inn wouldn't ordinarily be on my list of holiday accommodation, however, needs must. One of the draws for this hotel was the ample free parking, big plus. Our room however was very tired, the furniture dated and incredibly everything was sticky!! The carpet was 2 tones of green, one which was clean the other which was dirt, highly visible on the main walk through bits, to the point were we didn't feel comfortable walking w... Read more

This is a great place to stay. Very close to many restaurants and great activities. The pool is amazing. Great staff also. It's right on Highway 1 which makes it very accessible. It is also right by the AFRICAN QUEEN - An old boat (original boat) that was used in the old movie by the same name with Humphrey Boggart. There area also many boats that leave from the docks right next to the hotel. Diving, Fishing and glass bottom boats. The style of hotel is older like the Motels, but has a new... Read more

We stayed one night, we were greeted by a very nice gent who was very efficient checking us in. The room was fine, a little dated, but clean and comfortable. We didn't have the breakfast. The only other time I saw an employee was at check out. He also was friendly and efficient. That being said, the stay was fine, no complaints, quiet, slept well. There just wasn't anything that made the hotel stand out.

Stayed here in conjunction with dive package. Conveniently situated next to US1 and close to dive centre. Good price as per package, but I would not be happy paying full price as the property has had its best time. Staff were very helpful and attending but everything has worn down. Breakfast not included and in my opinion not worth its money. Room fairly spacious but very damp, it was impossible to dry off our diving equipment. Holiday Inn had comfortable rooms and beds. The pool side rooms are more pleasant than the other rooms. The courtyard contains two swimming pools and a hot tub. One swimming pool has a water fall. The area has a small bar that is open in the afternoon and evening. Breakfast with hot food (eggs, bacon, sausages, potatoes, oatmeal) is served off the main lobby lobby. while our king bedroom had a refrigerator, it did not have a microwave. The real draw is that it's a 2 minute drive to the marina where many diving charters depart which is very convenient indeed. It was an OK room, clean enough though the lighting in the bathroom was a bit like that of an interrogation room. The staff at the front desk and the tiki bar were friendly and competent which we appreciated. I really didn't care for the fact that people smoked outside their rooms - the smell carried indoors. Gross. Also as far as drying your diving gear, there are no pr... Read more
