More like Motel but in saying that it was nicely done and had everything we wanted. Positioned right on lagoon with outside bar so convenient for swimming and pool. Lots of wild life . Would have been better marked but once again no gluten free option for breakfast.

Our Flip Key accommodations turned out to be dreadful. Worst bait and switch ever. We stayed at the Hampton Inn which was wonderful. Do Not use Flip Key as they are not reputable. Dispute numerous attempts we have not received a refund if our $600+. Thank goodness for the Hampton Inn in Key Largo.

Wanted to break up the drive to Key West so we stopped at Key Largo for a coupe days and tried this Hampton Inn. Good decision - we loved our stay here. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel has been maintained well and is clean and comfortable. We got a nice room facing the pool and we were never disturbed by noise. The pool was surrounded by palm trees, banana trees and other plantings that gave it privacy and made you feel like you had escaped to a tropical isle. There... Read more

After reading several reviews I was not sure what to expect. The hotel was easy to find. It is just past the concrete tower. Check in was a breeze with the friendly staff We found our room to be clean and well decorated. The pool and deck area was large with several chairs and lounges. We were surprised by how nice the pool, tiki bar and beach area was. A little piece of paradise. We would stay here again. We stayed here for 6 nights during our US road trip. The hotel is right next to a large concrete tower which is a great marker to look for. There is plenty of parking. Check in was easy, although I had checked in online the night before and chosen our room. The reception staff were brilliant. Being a member we got welcome drinks and snacks and then we were offered information about facilities locally and were given discounts for local eating places. I saw lots of great reviews about this property so I expected a lot. Unfortunately it's not up to my expectation. We arrived the hotel at 9PM, and the front desk lady was not friendly during our check in. I asked for a compile tray upgrade, or simply switch for a king bed from a double bed room. She just simply said no to all my request without even trying to find if the rooms are available. Then she was like, oh the room we gave you is already a king size bedroom. the shower space was extremely... Read more

We arrived at the Hampton Inn, our first location on our holiday around the Keys and Florida. Huge rooms, very clean and with all you could need- the coffee maker was a welcome addition. Great access to the beach, with sun beds and kayaks. Breakfast was simple but ok and the staff were pleasant. Our only complaint is that the Tiki bar wasn't open upon our arrival - after a day's travelling from the U.K, a relaxing drink before bed would have made a huge difference. Our stay at Hampton by Hilton in Key Largo was wonderful. We were greated by a lovely lady on reception when we arrived and having checked in the day before online we knew where our room would be. The room was on the second floor overlooking the pool side which was great for making sure the children were ok! It was cleaned everyday to a high standard and we had the choice of air con or a ceiling fan which was a god send. The location of this hotel is lovely, the view and sunsets were incredi... Read more

Hotel is very clean and up to date. The breakfast is great, but you have to go at the right time or it is a feeding frenzy of kids/adults. Go before 8:30 or after 9:30 AM. Pool is nice, the beach is very small and rocky. The location is great with a lot of iguanas that come right up and eat fruit from you. They are huge! We did not see Manatees, but they come there also. Very nice fitness area. Wifi is terrible.

We have visited KL quite a few times and stayed at other hotels for various reasons. We picked the Hampton for location, and were impressed. The pool is nice, and they have a small beach area. Rooms were clean and very quiet. Do note that 226 was right across from the ice maker and might be noisy. Breakfast was good--enough options to satisfy most people. Stayed here last year and decided to stay here again this year. It is so well located for the watersport activities available locally. Last time we stayed we had a double bed and a bed settee which wasn't ideal, but this time we paid extra for two double beds - much better idea ! The hotel is located conveniently and it has a nice beach and pool. Breakfast is fine too. On the cons side: our rate was 650 USD for 4 nights, but the hotel charged additional 650 USD for possible damages, without informing us! My family stayed here for one night on our way down to Key West from Miami. It's ideal if like us you are planning a trip to John Pennekamp State Park - literally 5mins away. Hotel was good quality with nice rooms and very helpful reception staff (call out to Lucy). The quality of the private beach was an unexpected bonus - we had a really good few hours lazing by the sea and having a cocktail at the Tiki bar. Breakfast was free but a bit too basic for my liking - I do prefer proper plates a... Read more

This is the second time we stayed here - very well kept property - the rooms are clean and the grounds well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful with suggestions. There is a lot to see - particularly wildlife - lots of friendly iguanas, a parrot in the tiki bar and we saw a manatee on the side water inlet along the north parking lot. Breakfast was great - with a very friendly, welcoming and hard working staff. Beautiful palms and flowering trees - a small but nice beach area. ... Read more

I've thought long and hard about this review. The good parts are that the girls on the front desk are lovely. The rooms are clean as was the bathroom. The best bit (and this goes a long way for me) is that you can sit quietly on the hotel bayside and watch the manatees just gently bobbing up and down. And, as much as I would like to give it five stars, the points that I don't like is that the outside areas are not clean, the pool area untidy, the beds are very hard and no one in this day and... We chose this hotel because Hampton inns are usually nice and clean hotels. The room was great, the shower was fancy, and everything was clean. Our only complaint was not the hotels fault. The clientele consisted of people that had mainly pickup trucks, camo hats, tank tops and coolers...if you know what I mean. Our neighbors were very loud to the point you could hear them Through the walls. Pool was small, beach was small, breakfast was great. Get to breakfast early or you'll be standing on a... Read more

This was our first trip to the keys and we wanted to have beach access while avoiding the party reputation of Key West at night at the same time, hence we chose Key Largo. The hotel was very decent and clean, albeit old. The halls initially smelled of stale smoke. Either from the carpet or lingering from smokers on their balconies. Our 'garden view' overlooked the parking lot. I would suggest the 'pool view' instead and ask for a room either to the left or right of the pool if you don't want to ... Read more

Nice place, clean and all you would expect from the Hampton brand. That said, I would also say nothing really special about the place. Quiet, nice pool area, could dock your boat there. For a fee they had 2 available kayaks. Some other hotels/resorts had free use of kayaks. The Tiki Bar was manned on day by a rather surly older man - full of complaints and opinions. Stayed here for 2 days on passing. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Accommodation great, clean and spacious. Outdoor pool and small beach into the sea. Visited later in afternoon from Iguana and lizards coming from trees, what a beautiful sight. Free breakfast included and complimentary travel bag consisting of water, biscuits and cake for your journey from reception. Just across the road was a bar/restaurant for food and drinks and free key lime pie which was fantastic if you mention you ... Read more

Nice place, step out the back door and you are, "on the water". It is an older motel that they have fixed up. Friendly staff and great location. Not "Top of The Line" but great location for Key's travel.

Breakfast is awful. The least they could do is provide scrambled eggs. Crappy fruit, over cooked oatmeal etc... we went out and ate. The rooms are clean but the furniture and rugs are old making the hotel dumpy. Would not recommend it. Go stay in the Marriott

We decided last minute to go to Key Largo while staying in Cape Coral. We found this particular Hampton Inn and booked on-line. What a find! They have a small private beach, beautiful pool and the room was perfect. There is also a tiki bar in the beach area. The TV on the wall in our guest room was tiny; it seemed a little out of place in the room, but there is so much more to do and see in Key Largo and at this hotel that we didn't watch much TV.

Had an overall good stay, very good value for the price. Just had bad interaction with one staff member, but would not hold that against the others who were very friendly, even the room staff. I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed 3 nights at the Hampton Inn Key Largo. This is a nice property with a beach and pool. The rooms reflect the tropical theme. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful especially the woman who is at the desk early morning. If in the area again we would definitely stay here.

Loved this hotel, food was great, pool was heated as they promised. Manatees were in the water as promised and they were very cool to see up close. This was a great hotel in Key Largo for the price and close to Key West that we drove down I would recommend this hotel.

What a wonderful place this Hampton is. Located on the bayside with a private beach shared with ibis iguanas and manatees with a tiki bar and pool. You don't really need to leave the premises. Don at the tiki bar makes a great frozen mango/strawberry margarita. Get a room facing the pool with patio with table and chairs. Easy to get keys disease here.

Upon arriving we were immediately welcomed. The lady at the front desk immediately noted that we were starving and that we had our two little Chihuahuas with us. She then recommended several restaurants that accept pets on their patios. She then went on to provide coupons to some of these, offering discounts. Her advice was excellent. We also found the entire staff there to be incredibly friendly. The rooms are clean, facility is well-kept, grounds are very nice, has its own private beach and is... Read more

Nice hotel, situated on a very small, but nice beach. We watched a beautiful sunset from the beach chairs provided. Rooms were great. We had a room (#246 I think) that was great on the inside, but a horrible view. Basically we looked out on the roof of the excercise room. We were only there one night, so not a big deal. I woudl recommend trying to stay away from that set of rooms. Rooms on the other side of the hall would have the best view, but they may have a premium price. If travel... Read more

This hotel was easy to find right off of the route 1 in Key Largo. The room was decorated quite nicely. We had a balcony looking out on the parking lot. The front desk was very nice to us when we checked in. Room was quiet and clean. I was worried that we were close to route 1 - but the way the hotel is laid out, the road noise is non-existent. My only issue was that the AC blows directly on the beds, so that was a bit annoying. We had breakfast here - it was good. There was a refrigera... Read more

We were in Key Largo for just one night and were very, very satisfied with our room at the Hampton Inn. We arrived much earlier than expected and the front desk organized early check-in without complaint. Rooms are comfortable and the beds are firm with a soft topper. It was nice and quiet. Never heard anyone in the hallway or in the paring lot outside our sliding glass door. Breakfast was very nice for a hotel provided buffet. We chose this hotel because it was pet friendly. Typical Hampton with a clean room, A/C that worked, and good bed. A few issues though‚?¶ Room phone did not work. Staff said they have had ‚??issues‚?? for quite some time. Wi-fi did not work at all. TV was bolted to the wall and could not be moved so that I could sit at the desk and work while watching TV. (A pet peeve of mine.) Good chow nearby, very nice staff.

We paid $249.00 for a one night stay here and this was definitely not worth the money. Hotel itself was good and pool and beach were great. However the lobby and breakfast area need an upgrade. They provide beach towels but extremely small.

Nice hotel just off the overseas highway. It's main attraction is the little beach it has along with tiki bar. The water is stunningly clear with various types of fish swimming around you and the manatees getting really close too. The hotel room was spacious, we were on the second floor with balcony that looked out on to the car park. Fridge, microwave both as standard. Walk in shower was great although the pressure varied depending on whether you were using the sink or toilet. The only downside... Read more

Hampton Inn Key Largo is an up-market motel. The facilities are basic, but the rooms are very nice and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet has everything you will need on the menu. - The location is great as Key Largo is situated halfway between Miami and Key West. I spent 3 nights here and used it as a base for exploring the keys. You can spot manatees from the hotel beach in addition to iguanas and seabirds.

The hotel was very average. The rooms looked much more dated than on the photographs and the fridge was extremely noisy.. There was a beach area at the back which was great for watching the sunset. We had booked 2 rooms described as 'King Room with balcony and garden view' - they did have balconies but looked out over the carpark! Ours also overlooked an ugly looking bungalow. When we queried it, they insisted the rooms did have a garden view because there was a shrubbery area along the edge ... Read more

I can't say enough about how terrific the staff was. Bang for you buck, this place had it all. We enjoyed the clean rooms, hot breakfast and the location is terrific. The outdoor area is very nice with it's own little water access area. It's a great place to relax but if you're wanting a "ocean beach experience" I would visit one of the great state parks in the keys.

Our stay was very good. There is a small but attractive beach area that was quite pleasant to relax at. The pool was warm and enjoyable. The tiki hut in the photos had nothing in it except additional seating (no bar) which was a disappointment since it was not clear in the description of the property whether the tiki hut was a functioning bar. This is a nicest Hampton inn that we have stayed at. The location is great and the rooms on the 2nd floor facing the pool were worth paying extra for. We started with room 151 which is on the 1st floor across from the tiki bar. We requested to move because there wasn't any privacy. Lucy at the front desk was very accommodating and moved us to too 235 on the 2nd floor it was worth the move!

This hotel was a great place to stay in Key Largo. The hotel staff did an excellent job, the accommodations were excellent, and the pool and beach areas were great. Family loves to vacation in Key Largo, this hotel was one of our favorite hotels. Facilities & location are nice, along with most of hotel staff. There appears to have been some sort of management change, front desk employees and manager are serious lacking, in both ability and integrity. Be warned and aware when checking in.
