We booked this hotel for a weekend getaway and had a great time as first time Key Biscayne visitors. The service was fabulous from the moment we checked-in (kudos to Nick at the front desk for making us feel welcome immediately!). Since it was Mother's Day weekend and there was also wedding it was quite crowded, but the only time we noticed this was while at the pool the first day. Service was still prompt and attentive. We had an oceanfront room with a private balcony and a fabulous view. ... Read more

My wife and I have had the pleasure of staying at many fine hotels over the years. The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne is, by far, our favorite. The hotel is really more of a resort with lots of entertainment and dining options. But the staff of the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne are what truly make this an amazing, must-visit property.

Lovely experience at this hotel. We arrived 6.00am to be exact. They had our room ready for us ! We had Marco show us to our room, he was just coming off the night shift and he showed us around and gave us the best introduction to our room and the hotel in general that we've ever received from any hotel. It is a very charming, well looked after property. Food was sensational, and Chocolates in the day spa is also a lovely touch. The only thing we noticed was the air conditioning throughout the ... What can I say about the Ritz key biscayne which will convey just how amazing this hotel is. I have stayed in hotels with larger bedrooms, lobby areas that are more stunning, yet no other hotel, Ritz or otherwise comes close to the personal attention you receive at this hotel. The team members in this hotel make the difference between excellent and exceptional, the grounds are breathtaking, the attention to detail is mind blowing and you are left feeling like you are walking on water. Upon check-in: requested room unavailable despite confirmation day before arrival. Room is OK; carpet is worn and curtains are thin & not blackout; need replaced. Front desk charges are booked against incorrect credit card; told at front desk it's not a big deal. Pending correction as I type this review. Multiple restaurants onsite; many of which are closed throughout our 8-day stay due to low occupancy. Rude guests throughout stay force us (on our honeymoon) to look for a quiet spot at the adul... I know it's the Ritz, so there is an expectation, and I am telling you this place is a Ritz on steroids. The pools, the beach, the casual and fine dining allow you to never have to leave the property. The staff was amazing from the check in process to in-room dining it was great. Hanging at the pool, I got an appreciation of how hard that staff works waiting on pool and beach dwellers hand and foot. It's Miami, it's hot! These rock stars had hustle. Expensive, and worth the cost.

I've stayed at many Ritz-Carlton properties and this isn't the finest but it definitely meets Ritz-Carlton standards! The beds are amazingly comfortable and have plenty of plugs in the room (bonus). I had a beautiful view of the ocean and pools. I was only disappointed that I had a shower/tub combo instead of separate bath and shower like I usually have. I'm pretty sure this was because of the room type I had. The pools are small but adequate (separate for adults and family). And the staff, of ... Read more

Overall we were really happy with the hotel. Generally it had really great service, very clean, and a lot of different amenities and options. The beach is very narrow, so if there are a lot of guests on the beach, you'll get packed in pretty close to each other, not leaving much space between chairs. But it is a MUCH quieter beach than south beach, if that's what you're looking for. The only area we were disappointed in service was at the beach. They weren't bad or unkind, they just didn't ... First let me say that this resort and the island of Key Biscayne was exactly what I wanted for this trip my husband and I took to celebrate our anniversary. I was overall very happy with my choice. It was not crowded, low key and always had something going on or to do. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because no one really explained what amenities were included in the resort fee we paid each day and we had to ask about several things to find they were included. The hotel website lists 4 restaurants when really there are only 3 and two of them are outside and you can't get to them when its raining leaving you with 1 option and it is the most expensive. Room service was the best food of the three and that should not be the case. The Key Pantry offered pizza but closes at 8pm. The hotel website says there is an ice cream parlor. While nothing was wrong about our stay, there was also nothing exceptional, something we‚??ve come to expect from Ritz Carlton properties. The whole property was very underwhelming. I had a good weekend here but just wasn't blown away. The room was fine, the pool was fine (bonus points for adult pool, as it was a moms weekend away), the food was pretty good, but I just wasn't as impressed as I've been elsewhere. The Staff was awesome! We were celebrating our anniversary, they greeted us with champagne at check-in and did a great job with restaurant recommendations throughout our stay. We spent about a week in a suite at the Ritz Key Biscayne, with a connecting room for grandma and grandpa. Both the room itself (with gorgeous views out over the ocean) and the resort were very well situated for travel with an infant or a toddler and we felt that the Ritz really stood out even above and beyond what you would expect for a 5* property in accommodating our one year old, who is a bit more challenging due to food allergies. The fitness center and spa area are very nice. It is a great hotel for families, with lots of kids activities but not a place for quite romantic adult getaway. (i.e. toddlers in the Rumbar at 10 pm). Beautiful and stately hotel with magnificent grounds. We had an oceanfront room on the 11th floor. Patio view was amazing. While simple the room was clean and the bed and bedding HEAVENLY. Crisp sheets, cozy down comforter and soft pillows. Room service was fast and well presented. We were disappointed with our food service beachside. They were definitely understaffed and drinks took 20 minutes to fill and we tired of waiting for lunch so left. The attendants who set up the beach chairs, towel... Read more

We were so excited to stay here for couple days in Miami. As we pulled up the doormen and check in team were great! After that, sadly, it went down hill. Our room seemed like a Days Inn room, not very fancy, just a standard room. For $400 per night, I expected a much nicer room and all my previous Ritz experiences were much better. on top of that, The room above us kept sliding things on the floor and the women in the adjoining room talked so loudly, she woke us up at 6am while on her business c... Oceanfront hotel in on Key Biscayne. Great service from the time of checkin throughout our stay. Nick at checkin, Hakim at the Cantina, and Erin at the conceirge all made our stay comfortable. Upgraded to an oceanfront room which made our stay more enjoyable. Staff knew our name and made sure our needs were met. Hotel is going through a reimagination as they call it but we did not see or hear construction.

Had to come to Miami for work for a few days, and was afforded the opportunity to have my wife travel with me for a few days without the kids. This hotel was fantastic. A completely new experience to use an adult pool at a hotel as well. Champagne upon check in, even at 2am after a delayed flight. All around quiet, relaxing location for a few days off.

The property is older than the Ritz in Cayman and the beach is not nearly as nice; however the service, hotel room and all the proper appointments exceeded my high expectations. Additionally breakfast outside with a perfect view of the ocean was an awesome way to start the morning. Please be wary of the pricing, a can of Diet Coke will run about six bucks in the gift shop!
