I booked a hotel stay for two days through hotwire but only stayed for an hour once I got there. I could not stay another minute in that hotel room even if I wasn't getting a refund. The hotel smelled like old and wet carpet through out. The beds had bed bugs in it and were hard and lumpy! They are about to start renovating the rooms but they should have done it years ago. This did teach me not to use third party websites anymore if that hotel is supposed to be compatible with Marriott and Hilt... Read more

Came for Jazz Fest, which was awesome! Hotel lobby, bar area, restaurant and room was overall decent and relatively clean. The carpet down the hallway to our room was quite stained but we were aware that they are renovating and all of that would be changed. What shouldn't have been there was the trash I saw. It needed to be vacuumed. Our room was comfortable with the exception of the bathroom shower, which I cleaned myself so that my mother would not see it dirty. I don't think house cleaning is... We booked thru Sam's club and got excellent rates for our 3 day stay. We arrived before 3pm and wanted early check in but were denied. The desk clerks were clueless as to how to retrieve our reservation, even though we had a confirmation printed out. Big thanks to Debra who was working the phones. She helped with our check in and gave us a tour of the hotel and and transportation options. You can opt to take the boat shuttle for 7 bucks a trip or the tram (free for the festival), which is... Enjoyed that the hotel was right on the Riverwalk. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and catered to my every need both in the guest rooms and the meeting rooms I utilized. The food was delicious both in the restaurant and my lunch buffet served during my meeting. (especially the warm cookies) The hotel is undergoing a renovation but don't let that scare anyone away; they seem to be doing the renovation in stages that doesn't effect a good night's sleep. While on business travel I stayed and experienced a great staff and very comfortable accommodations with water views. I was really looking forward to attending the kick-off for the Blues/Jazz Weekend Festival which was happening here at the Lexington Hotel & Conferenc e Center. I learned from the GM that this hotel is going through an amazing renovation. I was told upwards of $25-$30 million... Read more

After booking this hotel on Priceline, I read some reviews , needless to say I was apprehensive about my decision. When I checked in I ask to speak with the manager and told him that I hoped I didnā??t make a bad decision in booking for a weekend there. Mr. Riles personally took me to see the guest room to see if it was acceptable, and filled me in on the renovations that are in progress. Our room was spacious, clean, great shower, and very comfortable bed. I also loved that they had a... Read more

Had to park completely on other side of hotel in a very dimly lit parking lot & hotel exterior. Exterior outside doors were locked @ 10:00 pm (no type of card entry whatsoever), making us walk 3/... They are doing renovations in areas around the hotel but it still does not take away from its majestic beauty. All of the staff from valet to front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. Would be nice if they served food and drinks at least until midnight since there is nowhere close to eat. Great staff - decent kitchen - good bar - rooms are variable - unless you book a renovated room - they are great - older rooms are comfortable, good bedding, mattress, and stable A/C - but dated decor. The new rooms are really nice - but a $30 uplift. As the hotel is renovating, limited rooms available,so pricing is demand driven - some weeks - super deal, others - upper market price. - If you travel to JAX regularly - talk to sales - they will hook you up with a year long price. Due to the recent hurricane my elderly mother and sister lost power at their apartment and found great relief at The Lexington! The hotel engineer assisted them in getting their room and saw to their every need! The rest of the hotel staff were so kind and accommodating as well!! I'm so very thankful they were so well cared for!! Your service was AWESOME! !

I am writing this for my special needs 80 year old mother Joan Otis. We had nowhere to go. Our electric and water was out like so many others. And with a 14 year old cat. I can not begin to express how incredibly awesome EVERYONE at the Lexington Hotel was. From the moment we arrived the valet assistances were so helpful and wonderful with me and especially my mother they were so kind and gentle and patient.... The front desk assistants were equally as well... Even though there was no conci... Read more

Nice people. Location is trying to upgrade but still feels old and not historic but just old. It is priced too high especially considering the nice other hotels around that even provide a hot breakfast with a goody bag for the day plus not charge for parking.

The online website renovation dates should be updated since the delay from the hurricane pushed them out farther. I was initially given a room on the old side, which is very outdated and disappointing if you look at the pictures online. Those rooms and hallways leading to them are dark and dingy, they should NOT be charging the same price as the new rooms. After talking with management of my concerns I was moved to the renovated side and it was like I moved to a different hotel. The rooms are br... Read more

Should have slept under a bridge. Room smells of mold, wall paper peeling of the wall, black mold stains on the wall. I understand that they are renovating the hotel but dang, I think 35 bucks a night would be about sufficient. I would stay away.

Don't stay here. We got a good rate for one night and since it was just one night in the area we wanted to be in, we stayed. Our room, 207, was disgusting. Not sure why we were given a handicap bathroom but the whole room smelled like mildew and get wet. The blankets felt wet, the towels felt wet, it was extremely uncomfortable. We didn't have time to complain, and again since this was for one night, we stuck it out. We tried switching hotels in the area, but everything was sold out. They are un... Read more

The picture is the view from my disabled accessible room. Does not look like a Riverwalk to me! Just saying. We came in and were greeted by a nice bellman. We checked in and then I was then left, sitting in my wheelchair, in the lobby with our bellman's cart, while my husband moved the car to the other side of the hotel. About 20 mins later, he appeared, and we went up to our room - excited that we had booked such a nice hotel for such a good price. Did I mention the whole riverwalk thin... Read more

We did book third party so this was not one that we actually picked. I wish I would of! This hotel is horrible. They are in the process of a renovation but not sure that's going to help. They charge for parking with is way too small for the size of hotel, and you have to walk all the way around the building to get into the front entrance if you don't valet which is more $$. The room was terrible smelled of old and just musty. The hallways had bleach stained floors with the door jams falling apar... Read more

Everyone in the hotel was super nice, accommodating and helpful. Although there is construction going on, give them a chance. Our room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. They all went above and beyond to make our time in Jacksonville extra special!

Just days after Hurricane Matthew brushed the shores of Jacksonville, the staff prepared for our Association's national convention. Staff was friendly and ready to step up to assist our delegates and guests to help them with reservations, food or just to see how their day was going. Meeting rooms met expectations, and other than a temperature issue (too cold) in the FRA meeting room, everything went as scheduled. Some under staffing for the restaurant was quickly resolved as team members, inc... Read more

I ended up with this hotel by way of Hotwire. They advertise 3.5 star, so that's what I expected. WRONG, my first room was the worst, light didn't work, horrible odor, dirty dingy shower/run then moved to room #2, light works still bad odor enough to give you a headache, moved to room 3, walk to room 3 was down one of the longest dirtiest hallways, it smelt like I walked down a tunnel of smoke, dirt, death, dog pooh finally get there, room doesn't smell as bad as the last, because it the over po... I would not recommend this place until the reno is completely finished the old rooms are very out dated and if you booked through a 3rd party (priceline, expedia etc) you WILL get an old room the newly renovated rooms are priced much higher so just be cautious and the parking lot very sketchy so much so that I parked at the convention center and took the tram back to the hotel (and they charge $10/day WHAT). Also microwave and a frig is also an extra cost and No Free breakfast since they have a ... Read more

1. Food was worse that MRE's or C-Rations and way over priced. Had reservations for three days for a convention. Supposedly parking was $5.00 a day. But when I checked Out they charged $12.00 a day. Was told that the $5.00 was just for during the event, Even though online it said different. The Front Desk and Room Service would not answer the phone. I had to go to the lobby to request things like a blanket and TP. I will not recommend this place to anyone I care about.

Hotel Manager Mr. Kenneth Riles and Front Desk staff Zenia. We booked this hotel for the Wasabicom conference and upon checking into our room we smelled either a paint odor or dampness probably from the hurricane wetting the carpet in the corridor. MR Miles and Zenia were extremely courteous, professional and addressed this concern immediately and with first class professional service. My family enjoyed our stay and appreciated the way we were treated during our stay. Definitely recommend giving... Read more

Rooms are nice, external bedding is cheap, scratchy and uncomfortable. Sheets are cheap and unwelcoming. Food is terrible. Just had their breakfast but that was enough to make me swear off their food. Great location, price doesn't match amenities. Pillows are cheap also. Too bad! Still had nice time.

Stayed here for the UGA/FL game. First, the good. We were very fortunate to stay in a renovated room, even though the hot water was super spotty. Was told by engineering that our room (at the end of the building) was so far away from the boiler that is why it didn't get hot quickly. Literally 10 minutes of running the sink and shower together at same time to produce an acceptable amount of warmth. At the Currents Bar Saturday night for "dinner", we were drinking out of small plastic cups that ... Read more

Stayed in this hotel for a business trip for roughly 2 weeks. The hotel was under renovation, so I now know why they accepted the government rate of $91.00. I did not have many interactions with the hotel staff, but the hotel was decent. I stayed in a recently renovated room. The room has a modern feel to it, with updated televisions, beds and chairs. The room doesn't have a lot of space and the small closet is not good, but doable. The bathroom has been renovated, but the hotel still needs t... Read more

Had great time at the hotel. It is not the stylish in the world but, is being renovated and the new rooms are great. Very nice decor, great new bathrooms and much more. But, what keeps us coming back is the staff. They are fabulous. So friendly and willing to go out of their way to make sure you have a good experience . Thanks to Art, Jules, Yiii and many more. See you next year if not sooner. Did I forget, it's right on Riverwalk and has great restaurants and bar.

If your main concern is being able to get around Jacksonville with ease or you are going to a football game and you want a reasonably priced place to stay, this is it. The water taxi picks up right out the back door and is very convenient. The hotel is currently under a remodel though and if you get into the older part, you can tell why. Our room would never meet current day accessibility standards and codes. It was VERY CLEAN though and the staff was all very kind and helpful. They are really w... Read more

The room we had reserved and paid for two months earlier had been given to someone else. We were told we could have it the next day, but it was then given to another party "because they decided to stay longer." The restaurant and swimming pool were closed. The Lexington was obviously being renovated and they had decided to rent rooms when much of the hotel was closed and one management person admitted to that. So I decided to stay at the Lexington for my time in Jacksonville it was the best decision I ever made. The rooms were amazing and very comfortable. The food is over and beyond the best ive ever had in Jacksonville, but the best part was the customer service these were the most warm welcomed group of individuals ive ever had the pleasure of meeting. Long story short if you haven't visited this hotel you haven't lived yet.
