Newly remodeled/re-envisioned (former Howard Johnson) motel in a lovely area south of San Marcos, Jacksonville. Very near an almost entirely medical industrial park near St. Vincent & other hospitals, it's the ideal place to stay for long or short visits. Secluded, peaceful, beautifully landscaped, managed/serviced by folks who seem to love their work and their clients. Large, cool, open, minimally decorated spaces inside (who doesn't need that in Florida?) the public areas, and spacious, wel... Read more

The hotel is affordable and the room I was in was perfect. You can tell everything was new. The pool looked very clean. I only stayed one night because I was only passing through Jacksonville but it was excellent. The front desk staff was very welcoming. If I come though Jacksonville I will come here again.

I stayed there 2 nights with my family.. we rented two rooms.. the rooms were simple but each room was unique.. not boring standard hotel rooms.. I felt like i was in one of those boutique hotels...beds were very comfortable..and they did not have carpet which I like..just nice clean new wood floors...the rooms were also quite big..they had fridge and microwaves in all the rooms..staff were friendly and very helpful with directions.. they were very knowledgeable with the area... they had a nice ... I stay in hotels 4 nights each week here in Jacksonville and can honestly say this place is perfect for me. My room was large, clean and extremely new condition. The bed was perfect and the bed linens were fluffy and comfortable. I would like to see a dresser or chest of drawers in the room. Breakfast was acceptable and typical continental. Staff were pleasant and friendly. I will stay here again.

Check in was smooth location was key for us. Rooms very inexpensive, and clean. Needed a place close to town center and it was only 10mins away. Little construction around the hotel (road work) was the only reason it wasnt any faster.

We had a great stay at a great price. The hotel is being renovated and everything is coming along nicely. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms were nice and clean. I was a little skeptical to stay here at first because there was only one review, however I'm very glad we did. We stayed for 3 nights this Memorial Day weekend and I will definitely stay here again if they keep it up! The breakfast was a standard continental (no hot food) so we chose other options for our food. The staff... Read more

First and foremost the staff is SO NICE. Willing to answer any and all questions you may have. The rooms are newly redone (half the hotel is still getting remodeled) and oh so simple! They spent the money they saved on deco on the beds... and oh those beds.. You feel like you are on a cloud. Best sleep I've ever had at a hotel. Plus it's off the beaten path so it's pretty quiet and you do not hear other guests. I have stayed at different hotels in JAX but this one is my favorite. I will definite... Read more

Just recently remodeled and with a new, very friendly staff, Tricove Inn & Suites could be one of the best values in this part of Jacksonville. We were coming to Jacksonville to look at the University of North Florida as a possibility for my daughter to attend. Going through the Trip Advisor reviews this seemed to be just what we needed. Decent, clean rooms, a good rate and not too far from the University. Jackpot. First- There is a LOT of major highway near the hotel. Getting to the hotel wa... Read more

One of my grandkids was having a procedure at Wolfson Children's Hospital so I needed a place close by to stay. The reviews for Tricove Inn were good so I decided to give it a try. It was a good choice. The rooms are fresh and clean. The beds were very comfortable. And the price was unbeatable. We left very early in the Am and got to the hospital in less than 15 minutes. The only downside at the moment is it's a little difficult to get to. Fortunately my GPS got me there. I would defi... Read more

Not a palace but u don't pay for one either. Beds r comfy, AC is quiet, rooms r spacious & really clean. Place didn't have an odor like some hotels. Smoke-free thruout really makes a difference. In the 7 days we were there, the only bug we saw was a fly that flew in. The only con is the room needs some more furniture..a 2nd table, an accent chair, a bigger night stand. The staff deserves a 10. Friendly, accommodating, went above & beyond. Especially Maria & Larry. Also Tim, the manager & Yolanda... Read more

It's hidden behind construction in the area... looks like a basic motel, but it is immaculate. Rooms are basic. Table, chairs micro and mini fridge. Sm tv on wall. But the rooms are very clean. Soap and shampoo in bathroom which is great. Only down.. wish the towels were bigger lol Besides that. It was good. Oh and.. if the room people were in uniform it be great. Most ppl working in hotel were in regular clothes so it kind of threw me off. But very professional. Def will stay here again!!!

I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay because we were arriving very late and leaving very early. This place was perfect. It was very clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was adequate, could have been better, but I would rather have an affordable place to stay, then a more "deluxe" breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel.

We were very worried about the hotel, for $60 a night.... but we were pleasantly surprised. Now, if you're looking for a luxury hotel, you'll need to look elsewhere, but if you're ok with a basic room to sleep and shower in, this is for you! Our room was a very large room, with a king-sized bed. The tv is a 32" flat screen mounted on the wall. There is a small table and two chairs, small fridge, small microwave, and one end table with a phone, lamp, and alarm clock by the bed. There is also a ... Read more

We stayed here few days ago for 1 night as stopover to Miami. It was really excellent hotel for the given price, currently there is some road work going on near by hotel and many roads were closed so it took us a while to find the hotel but if you are coming from I95-north it should not be a problem. I liked everything except their breakfast hours are from 6.00 AM to 9.00 AM, so if you want to eat their breakfast you have to wake up early and get ready. I would definitely come here in future.

Don't know anyone could rate this place better than poor. No carpeting...just laminated floors...filthy dirty. Bed was comfortable. Small table and two chairs and small end table between beds is all the furniture in room. Tiny microwave and very small refrigerator. Small wall mounted TV with many cable channels. Weak WiFi signal. No bars of soap only wall mounted dispensers in shower and above sink outside bathroom. Shower soap and shampoo looked exactly alike. $50 deposit required to en... Read more
