We travel to Jacksonville frequently due to the fact that our grandson goes to Nemours Childrens Specialty Care to see his orthopedic doc and orthotic doc. It is so convenient for us to stay at the Hampton Inn and this just so happened to be the one time that we had a holiday appointment. We had a delightful dinner near by and then settled in at the hotel. The staff, the comfort, the family friendly atmosphere were all wonderful . We would highly recommend this spot for just about anyone, th... Read more

Great stay! Love the free parking, complimentary breakfast and super comfortable beds and pillows! I slept so well all three nights of my stay! We has some friends staying at the DoubleTree in downtown Jax, and I saw their rooms and they were smaller and the beds were smaller too. So happy with what we got at the Hampton Inn, and the cost wasn't too much more than the DoubleTree and the cost was worth it with free parking and free breakfast! I stayed here the night before my wedding and the night of my wedding, and it was the chosen hotel for our out-of-town guest. In hindsight, I should have chosen a different hotel because the room wasn't big enough for me, but that's not the hotel's fault. Despite its size, the room was beautiful, very typical of what you'd expect from Hampton Inn. The breakfast was delicious, as usual. This is my second time coming here and it has always been a great experience. the room are very clean, and the breakfast food was good too. The lady that worked in the breakfast area( I can not remember her name maybe Joan) or something was very helpful too. I hope to visit again next year for the Jazz Festival.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hampton Inn Jacksonville. We had to visit a family member staying at the Hospital in downtown Jacksonville. The accommodations were wonderful. The staff was polite. And the breakfast provided a great variety for the entire family. We enjoyed our stay...especially the 12 o'clock check out time. That gave us another hour to relax before leaving out the next day.

I liked this Hampton Inn. It's within walking distance to just about everything. Very safe to walk during the day. In the evenings it's a little scary because it's near freeway and noisy. But if you are in a group it should be safe.

The staff is very nice and friendly and showed a desire to help. The location is good for Jacksonville. However, the hotel needs significant improvement. A/C failed and could not be repaired. There were no spare rooms. They were kind enough in comping the night. Rooms smell of too much room freshener and are a little dingy. Bathroom had issues too, including a shower head that feel off.

The hotel was in the perfect location for my travel needs. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great as usual. In addition the room was in very nice shape and kept clean. The hot breakfast was different each day and it was always hot and fresh. This place is absolutely terrible. Leaky rooms, burnt out lights in the lobby. The room smelled vaguely of human waste. I pulled a "clean towel" from the top shelf and it brought all sorts of dust meaning they hadn't been replaced in a long time. Bed was lumpy and hard. My air conditioner didn't work on night one. The hotel is close to the Riverwalk where you can walk, bike or run - it is very nice. I usually stay at a Hampton Inn for the rates and complimentary breakfast. I've always encountered pleasant staff. Overall, the rooms are clean and comfortable.

It's a Hampton inn, so you know what to expect. Simple, clean, the employees were very friendly (especially Justin) and the free morning breakfast was pretty good. Is it a five star hotel? Nah, but if you check into a Hampton Inn expecting that, you need your head examined. They take good care of their guests and the rooms are clean, bright, and comfortable. I don't need much more than that. Also close to the river for water taxi access to Everbank Field

The Hampton is across the river from downtown and close to 1-95. Nothing spectacular about the neighborhood, but nothing unsafe either. There are few restaurants around, but its a short drive to the 5 point neighborhood or downtown. Fine for a night or two, we stayed one night to attend the Broncos game in Jax. Plus its a 10 minute walk to the water taxi to the stadium.
