stayed one night, waited at airport 45min and called 3 times before pickup to hotel -- hint, they ask you when you call if you picked up your bags yet--- say YES otherwise you wait and wait, room basic, pool tiny and freezing cold, breakfast very basic. would not stay there again

The front desk was very friendly and willing to assist you when needed. The beds were amazing and we slept very comfortably. The breakfast was good and coffee was great. We were there for just one night and arrived about 10:30 P.M.after a 7 hour flight. Very nice hotel and I would stay there again when i'm in Jacksonville.

We wanted to stay close to the airport because we had a 5:30AM flight and chose this hotel because of proximity and brand. Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. It took us 5 minutes from hotel to terminal.

The staff was very friendly and welcome us and noticed my mother in law and upgraded us and gave us a wheelchair for us to use to get to and from the room. It was very appreciated. They went over and beyond our expectation. They were very friendly to my mother in law and greeted her with some cookies. It was very nice of them to do that. It was James and Marie that checked us in that night and they were super excellent nice to us.

This is one of the best places I have stayed. It some of the friendliest worker there. The pool n whirlpool tub was nice and clean. Our room was great. The breakfast was good. It was close to shopping center and restaurants... It was just great!

Excellent place to find rest, relaxation, good shopping nearby, and a good time. Very comfortable place to stay. Clean; quiet; and, my grandson thought the pool was a highlight. I can recommend this place without reservation (well, you might want to make a reservation). What i should say is "I can recommend it without qualification!"

Stay was great! Staff very nice, location excellent and away from the city but still close to stores and restaurants. Enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast and love the bathrooms. Bed could've been better but overall a good stay!

The front desk clerks were very accommodating and the breakfast was different everyday and good to. Especially the Waffle station the kids were very happy with that. The rooms we nice and clean and beds were comfortable.

Easy access to interstate and the location was excellent for restaurants if you wanted fast food or dine in. There was a wide variety of near by shopping areas. We didn't even know we was near the airport because we didn't hear any planes. We highly recommend this hotel and we plan to revisit it in the future.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel this past Thursday night. We used Booking.com to reserve a King suite. When we arrived at 10pm and checked in, we were given a room with 2 queen beds. The hotel REFUSED to uphold their obligations of the reservation and tried to make it my problem by saying "you used a 3rd party" and denied any responsibility for this screw up. We had a late check in, I was told all would be ok. When we arrived to check into our 2 queen bed and 1 pull out couch room. I was told my only option was a smoking room. I requested a non smoking room and due to health reasons can't stay in a smoking room. While I was "upgraded" to a 1 king bed and pull out couch room the point is I needed the 3 beds. We had to stay overnight after debris on the interstate took out two tires on our vehicle and had to spend the night waiting for repairs. The young clerk at check in was very engaging and was empathetic about our situation. The suite was spacious and comfortable. The a/c was very cold and the room and bathroom were very clean. Both time we stayed at this property were great experiences. The Long Horne is right next door and their food/service is also great. Very convenient to travelers going North or South on I95/I295 at Jacksonville, FL Shuttle to JAX if free and always ready for the 10 min trip.

Close to everything. We rarely stay in JAX, bc we live in Valdosta, Ga. during triathlon season, we stay here for the races in Fernandina Beach. It takes about 30 minutes to get to that beach, but it is clean, and it's convenient to everything else.

My son said "this is the best hotel I've ever stayed in - you should give it a 5-star rating" so I did. Ok, he's only 12 and has limited experience but we enjoyed it. My wife loved the soft pillows, I liked the soft bed and aforementioned son loved the breakfast. The other kids did too. Also, we liked the studio room which worked out great with three kids. Perfect place to crash after a long day of scalloping and on the way back home to Virginia.

We stopped in Jacksonville for a one night stop because it was the halfway point to our final destination and right off of I-95. This hotel was absolutely wonderful. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, friendly service at the front desk, and a great location surrounded by many restaurants within a mile of the hotel. If I were to ever come to Jacksonville again, I would definitely come back to this hotel.

Our flight was leaving relatively early to Seattle and I did not want to take a chance in anything happening on way to the airport to delay our boarding. We chose this Hampton Inn due to its closeness and shuttle to our parking and the airport. Our experience there was quite pleasant. We were met at the front desk by a smiling Keisha who with professionalism and swiftness checked us into our room. The room was clean quiet and comfortable and the breakfast the next morning was delicious.

We stopped at the Hampton Inn as we were travelling to visit family and had the pleasure of staying at the Hampton Inn - JAX Airport. The staff was most accommodating, the room very clean, the bed was great. We could not ask for a better visit. In addition, the breakfast was superb!

You know the drill. Your plane is delayed than delayed again. 3 hours later it's cancelled. Since AA claimed it was weather caused, no voucher. Still I needed someplace to sleep until my 7 A. M.. new flight.The Doubletree across the street was full. The next closest hotel was the Hampton inn. They had a double queen suite which was more than I needed for my 9 hour stay but.. I went. The service was perfect the room was good and most importantly, the van back to JAX the next morning was perfect

My family stayed here the night before we left on a cruise. The hotel was a short drive from the cruise terminal. The facilities were very nice and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Continental breakfast was nice also.

We stayed the night before and after our cruise. The staff were very nice. They were able to get us in a room when we arrived 6 hours earlier then planned. They had a shuttle service as well- make sure you tip them! Nice and clean. Free buffet breakfast. Nice little pool in the back. Comfy beds! We also stayed at a Hampton in Chicago before our flight. Very nice!!!

Very nice Hampton Inn -- has undergone some upgrades and looks fresh and sparkling. Front desk staff is professional, helpful and seems to truly enjoy their job. Have stayed for single nights at a time and its a great place to stop if you are traveling. Some restaurants close and HI runs a shuttle to their other properties close by if you would like to dine at them. Shuttle to airport is also available.

Very friendly staff! From check in to check out, everyone was incredibly nice. We felt welcomed. Great place for our one night stop over with kids - pool to get energy out and breakfast to recharge before heading out. Definitely would stay here again!

Everything was excellent during our stay. Could not ask for a better staff! Everyone was friendly and offered assistance for everything. The beds are soft and comfortable. The breakfast was more than enough. Great shopping and restaurants close by. Definitely will stay here every time I visit Jacksonville.

Best and cleanest hotel ever. The complimentary breakfast was always on time and very good. The hotel general manager and staff always everyone as if they were family and not strangers. The pool was very clean and refreshing. I would go down to lobby at night and read my news paper very quite and always fresh coffee and fresh baked cookies. The music was lite and a very serene atmosphere. Thank you Hampton Inn and Suites for a very stress free stay.

We were here for a reunion. Most of our rooms were not together. (Not a bad thing.) I think I ran into one maid and one food service person who weren't smiling. Every other member of the staff made it feel like we were having a party. The room was clean, and we had a nice selection for breakfast every day. Other than an interesting intersection, just east of the hotel, this is a great place to stay.

The rooms were clean. Some of the staff were very helpful. It was a good location. As with most Hamptons, they are well appointed, kept updated and no nonsense check in/out. You need to ask the staff for anything to which you are entitled as they do not immediately offer it. As a diamond member, I shouldn't have had to ask.

The pillows were uncomfortable, I could hear the sound of staff working and dryers tumbling in the middle of the night, also when someone from upstairs would flush their toilet, I can hear the sound of water flowing down the pipes. Hopefully change will come. Overall the hotel is nice, breakfast is ok but my stay and room wasn't what I was hoping for, in room for a disable veteran.

Run down hotel with terrible front desk manager who was rude and wasn't helpful. Hotel needs major renevations and staff need training. Location is good but I won't stay there again. Wall paper help up with tape, door safety lock fell off and bathroom light not working.

The staff here is awesome! Made our stay even better. So friendly and so helpful!!!! The location is perfect for traveling to and from the airport. Nice pool, decent complimentary breakfast. The beds could use updating but I hear they will be renovating this hotel soon. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We were traveling from Washington DC to South Florida. We picked the Hampton to stop for the night. Check in was easy and we were upgraded! Being a Hilton Honors member pays off. The room was big with comfortable beds and pillows. My son loved the pillow and wanted to take one. I will be looking for one online. Walking distance to Longhorn and Ruby Tuesdays.

The staff at this location makes our decision to stay at Hampton Inn a very easy one. We have never had any issues staying at a Hampton Inn, but this location is our favorite this far! From the front desk right down to the shuttle drivers....... I wish they all could know how much better they made our vacation just by being so friendly and curtious!

We stayed overnight after leaving Gainesville. Our Floor was under construction and looked and smelled the dust everywhere. Although the room was clean, making your way there was not so pleasant. The floor should be closed when construction is going on.

This hotel is my go to hotel when in Jacksonville. I'm never disappointed when I arrive. The front desk staff has always treated me like royalty. The all know and address me by name. Where do I start..... This hotel is the very clean. The staff are very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel to any one needing to stay out by Jacksonville Florida airport. I felt so welcome by everyone and the rooms are really nice. Everything nicely set up and very clean. We had no issues with our stay! When I say I highly recommend the Hampton Inn and Suites out a jax fl airport I mean it!!! The best hotel stay I have ever had!!!

I was there for a funeral service. One of those last minute things to plan for, so when I called to make the reservation the young lady I talked to was very sympathetic to my needs and found me the best rate for me. She was also very courteous. Being on a holiday the day of my arrival I didn't think the would be any rooms available but she found a room and gave me the best rate available. Very pleased with the whole experience.

We went to Jacksonville for a cruise, to take advantage of the park and cruise package. We were very impressed with the accommodations, including the price. They recommend a shuttle company to transport you to the port, it was very dependable and prices well.

This had to be one of the best experiences that I've had with customer service. Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful from housekeeping to front desk to concierge. Danita and Judy went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I would definitely go back.

Marie at check in and Tatianna the night auditor were amazing! Look for them! The food was great, especially because it was a great complementary breakfast. The staff as a whole worked as a team and made the experience amazing.

I have been on a multiday bicycle trip which I had to interrupt to temporarily go home. This meant leaving my bicycle with a hotel for the few days that I would be away. Excellent location and was able to use Honors Points to receive a great rate. The room was very large, had a nice mini kitchen and a nice bathroom. It was clean and very comfortable. Leaving our vehicle at the hotel and using the Hampton shuttle make the early morning flight very easy.

We stayed for 1 night before boarding a cruise. Free shuttle from the airport & to a shopping center. Free continental breakfast- great deal!! Shuttle to the port was just $8. Staff were all so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend

This was a nice hotel for my one-night stay in Jacksonville. The hotel shuttle came minutes after I called. Since I had done the digital check-in the day prior the person at the desk, who was working with someone else asked if I had Express Check-in and quickly gave my key! Later she gave me a full list of suggestions of places to eat within walking distance. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and clean.

Everything went well. The staff was courteous, helpful and always asking to help. Every time we passed the Front Desk, we were greeted with how is your suite, have a good and upon check out, have safe travels. The housekeeping staff was just as friendly.

My husband and I checked out this morning after an extended business trip. We both miss this hotel and staff already. Marie and the entire staff treated us as family and made sure our stay was a great one. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The pool, hot tub, and fitness center were great after a long day. The breakfast every morning was delicious. The cookies every night were a great treat. We definitely look forward to coming back, hopefully soon :)

My wife and stayed one night there before boarding the cruise ship. Marie was so friendly and helpful with the booking. SHe also was able to connect me to Christine who shuttled us to the port at a very reasonable rate. The Hotel also alowed us to park our car there while we cruised at a minimal cost. Very nice front desk attentive reception personnel. The most important thing the hotel room was clean, and fresh. The bed was so comfortable and you could fill the cleanliness in the bed sheets. Excellent breakfast in the morning, even a small omelette and some bagel toppers. Very nice for a very affordable rate.

Hotel location was good, overall cleanliness was also good however the carpet in my room (222) was very sticky. Lighting in the parking lot was inadequate in my opinion and there were to few places, this could be due to the hotel allowing for long term parking for the airport and cruises. We tried using this service however could not get the shuttle service that Hampton uses to return our call.

Hampton Inn is a well managed brand. the properties we have stayed at when traveling have always maintained high standards of cleanliness and gracious and helpful staff. We've stayed at several different hotels at the Jax airport. This is by far the best! The rooms, the service and the cleanliness are all outstanding. Marie, who checked us in, was excellent. We left our car in their lot for 2 weeks. When we returned to the airport, we called and they sent over the shuttle to pick us up. Then they offered us breakfast! Really a great property.

Despite arriving on a Wednesday afternoon during the 2016 pre-Hurricane Matthew assault on the Jacksonville area the reception staff greeted us warmly and quickly helped us to reach our room before the 4PM check-in hour. We live on Amelia Island Florida. This past week class 4 hurricane, Matthew, headed our way. Find a hotel? Impossible! We ended up at the Hampton Inn, Jacksonville airport. Not only did they find us a room, Led by the manager, Ron Ring, they remained calm and gracious to everybody in a really frantic environment. No price gouging and no problems. I can't say it was fun but they made it bearable.

Stayed here for 2 nights during hurricane Matthew. Under extreme circumstances the staff was efficient and friendly. No restaurant but there are several in walking distance. Comfortable and quiet. For a basic place to stay and a hot breakfast it's a great value.

Flew into Jacksonville was late and called the hotel and booked a room. Gave them my card info and received a confirmation email. Even called the hotel on the way to tell them I would be arriving a little late. The front desk said no problem. Come on. Usually Hampton Inns are my first choice in hotels. They are usually first class in appearance, cleanliness and friendliness. However, this stay was very different. We stayed on the 3rd floor and the carpet was damp...it almost seemed as if the carpet had been shampooed and the water hadn't been sucked out. We arrived late after a cross country trip and were of course tired. We were staying on a freebie and yet were treated exactly the same as if we had paid. Welcome from front desk outstanding as was all of the personnel. Breakfast fairly standard and just so so. However, for JAX airport the best location.

My brother was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer. He only has months to live. He is 56 years old. We decided to make a quick visit. Check in was pleasant, they had cookies for us. Location is close to Jax airport. Friendly staff. Convient shuttle to airport. Plenty of places to connect electronics in guest room. Relatively clean, but floor in guest room and bathroom appear to be vacuumed, but some visible debris in corners and between furniture and walls. I left before breakfast was ready, so the morning clerk offered me a take-away bag - very nice.

The hotel is just a five minute drive from the airport and situated in a quiet area. Very friendly staff, swift check-in. Rooms are good, nice bedding and clean. Good wifi and internet speed. Breakfast is ok. Longhorn steakhouse is within walking distance and offers discount for motel guests.

Our family stayed here the night before our cruise. The staff were extremely friendly upon check-in. The rooms are modern, spacious, and very clean. The only negative was the prices in the snack area ($6 for a beer ??) The free breakfast is a great plus and a very nice man named James ensured that the dining area stayed clean and we were well taken care of. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Jacksonville.

Ok, I don't write perfect reviews very often, but this hotel deserves it! Check in was easy and Marie was super helpful and friendly. Room was perfectly clean (and I'm picky) and bed was soooo comfy. Have nothing but good comments for the hotel, staff and shuttle staff. We have stayed here previously and will probably stay here again if the need arises. Breakfast is adequate, about normal for this type hotel, but generally a good value. Enjoyed everything about our stay here.
