"First, the hotel receptionist was amazing rude, unprofessional, she almost spoiled a beautiful trip, we were planning to go after work to search for a nice wedding venue so we called to let them know we would be a bit late, when to our surprise she said, well you must be here before 10pm or I will cancel the reservation! We were amazed, and started calling our travel rep to see if they could try to fix that, they couldn't get them on the line so they advices to go anyway, for even more surprise it seems the employee lives in the hotel premises so ...... she didn't even say , sorry, my apologies etc, e arrived after all at 9:30pm but it was stressing ! I never heard a hotel with time frame for late arrivals..
The room was terrible, definitely not worth what i paid!
Never again!!"

"Islamorada is a beautiful part of the keys if you're looking to just relax. It was low season and my goal was to just soak up some sun in December. We ate at a restaurant on the water called Lorelai where the staff was super friendly. Harbor lights booked through bookit.com was a decently clean and safe place to call home base. Staff was friendly and offered suggestions around the neighborhood. However the room they gave us was 'around back on the other side' of the hotel. When we drove around there were like two rooms there and they were clearly the smallest rooms in the entire hotel. Being off season there were definitely rooms available on the front side, but I think they gave us this room because we did it through bookit.com and it was really cheap. There's a nice waterfront with plenty of lounge chairs by the pool and a hammock. I loved bird watching in the morning, the pelicans just diving for fish right in front of your eyes! This place was okay for the purpose of this trip, but it's not something I would see again."

"A little over priced for such a old Motel room. But I would stay there again if rate was less it was a clean comfortable little room with a great bed. "Rooms were clean enough, but not very well appointed. No coffee pot, and not enough outlets to put one anyway. Couldn't run the ceiling fan with the night table light on, couldn't plug it in. Ants everywhere, floors tables , bathroom etc. the staff is great, but the owner needs to spend some money on upgrades.. . Also scheduled a snorkeling tour for Tues, only to find out the tour was 2 1/2 hours from where we were staying, and it left at 9:00am."

"We loved the location & the kitchenette. We had a lovely view from our 3rd floor balcony & we weren't kept awake by noise. Bed was extremely comfortable & while some things were a bit outdated, all in all it was a nice room. The sliding doors were broken & I fixed them so they worked well the rest of our stay. The only complaint - when we checked in they weren't going to let us keep our rate & room because we didn't have the card with us that we paid for the room with. :( We always take only 1 cc with us on vaca & it wasn't that one. I had all kinds of ID, but they said they could deny us the rate & room because we didn't have it - even though I had proof that I was the one who paid for it. I checked & contrary to what she said, there was no where in our reservation info that said we HAD to have the EXACT SAME card we paid for the room with, so that should be added... Happy ending because she finally left us have the room, but it wasn't a very nice beginning. After that, though, things were fine. Just be aware of that."

"My partner and I stayed here for a few nights and actually left a day early for another hotel because it was so gross. When we first entered the room, we were greeted by the funk of gas (presumably from the stove) and mold. As we looked around, we noticed there was a lot of mold in the bathroom and by the AC unit. The closet door had been ripped completely off its hinges. The blinds were broken. The bathtub was peeling paint (who paints a bathtub in the first place?!). One of the two lamps in the room was broken. The beds were terribly uncomfortable. Our room was wedged between a trash can, a large ashtray, and the stairs. The room looked out over Rt. 1, so we heard traffic constantly but we couldn't close the windows because of the terrible smell.

We had a large room with a kitchenette and yes, it did have a refrigerator, microwave, stove, pots & pans, etc. HOWEVER, because of how nasty the rest of the room was, I did not feel comfortable preparing food there. It looked like the ceiling above the kitchen area was cracking and it just been painted over.

We were originally excited to see that the hotel was on the water. Upon further inspection, we saw that the pool and boat launch area were disgusting and smelled really bad. It really just seemed like the property wasn't maintained at all.

When told that we hadn't enjoyed our stay, the management replied that 'it's a 70 year old building so of course there's mold.' We are in the process of requesting a refund, but we were not offered any compensation nor apologies.

Bad room, terrible service. If you are even slightly considering staying here, don't. Take your business to an establishment who cares for their property and respects their customers."
