Great location. stayed for a couple of days with the family and had a great time. Family oriented. par three golf, bicycles, paddleboards and kayaks are all free. High end place. Expensive but worth it. Rooms very nice. Grounds and facilities are awesome. Would definitely visit again. Only issue is that we saw and killed a huge cockroach in our room! Maybe this is common in Southern Florida!

The courtyard and lobby made such an amazing impression. The beach and pier are great, the room in the lodge was very nice as well. Here are a few highs and lows: we will not return despite the lovely location. ~Our arrival day we had to wait to check in, no worries - we'll have lunch. It took 1/2 hour for food to show and 5 different people came to our table to ask questions. We still do not know who our server was. Food was fine. ~ From the pool to the dining areas to the tiki hut, service w... Read more

This past weekend I stayed with family for 3 nights at this hotel. Considering some reviews we had seen in the internet, we had great expectations; however, we found the service quite disappointing. For an upscale resort, the food was not impressive, the waiters were slow and forgetful. Service at the pool, bar, and restaurant was poor. The staff was not attentive, they did not seem to know much about hospitality. The resort was beautiful with great views and clean rooms, but the service was su... Read more

We stay here often, the wait staff wasn't as friendly as I remember. The place has always been beautiful, however this time the grounds were not kept up to the standard that we were accustomed to... The ocean scenery was beautiful and it's located in biking distances to various restaurants.

This is a lovely hotel with delightful grounds with 2 swimming pools (1 adult only), spa, 2 hot pools and mini golf course. We booked a luxury lagoon view room. There seemed to be either sea view or lagoon view rooms. We were very happy with our room and choice of view. Our bedroom was spacious and beautifully furnished with 2 beds and a large bathroom with separate bath and shower. The lagoon view from our balcony included a waterfall. My wife and I just returned from another AMAZING stay at Cheeca! We began coming to Cheeca in 2012 for our 30th Wedding Anniversary and it became and instant yearly tradition! Now we have added my wife's Birthday as another annual (now bi-annual!) trip. If you want to be treated like royalty and forget the rest of the world for a while, then Cheeca is the place for you! My wife and I booked our honeymoon at Cheeca last year. We heard it was one of the nicest places to stay in the keys and it could be!! We got married on June 27th and the next day we were there. First I would like to say the staff was very personable, friendly and quite nice!!!! But our room was a not so pleasant to be in. First the AC was not working properly, at 5 in the afternoon our room was 80 degrees while the AC was running all day set at 72. It never got colder than 76, even at night. We... Read more

We have been going to Cheeca for 13 years now obviously we like this place. That saying the last two visits have not been without hiccups. Both times we requested golf course rooms and have not gotten them. We like those rooms because they are quiet and away from all the action. Also very dissapointed with lagoon area waterfall not running and water looks nasty. We know that the lagoon's appearance also is due to the tide. Still love to see fish in the lagoon when it is clear and inviting that s... Read more

This as our third time at Cheeca Lodge. Beautiful setting, but service could be so much better. From check in at the front desk to still not receiving our check out email from 2 weeks ago, to dinner reservations at concierge desk, to pool side service (had to ask for towels and we personally removed used towels and drink glasses that were obviously left behind) the service needs improvement. We just visited the restaurant at Cheeca Lodge for a friend's birthday. Upon arrival we were directed to a nice table by the window and served water. After approximately 15 minutes I had to get up and look for someone to ask if they were serving inside. One of the serves said: yes, but that it is not my table. We were about to get up to leave when a young lady showed up with some menus and took our order for drinks. It took about another 15 minutes for her to return with the drinks and take... Read more

What a spectacular, peaceful setting! I had heard a lot about Cheeca lodge and we finally went with three other couples. What a beautiful resort. We are already planning our return trip. The one and two bedroom suites had plenty of room, decorated with a Tommy Bahama feel. We booked a sunset cruise at the Lodge, which was a blast! We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at least once during our stay. Everything was very tasty. Although Cheeca is a bit pricy, it's worth every penny!

Beautiful Oceanfront rooms. Double Oceanfront Suite for our 19, 21 and 24 year old kiddos. King Oceanfront Suite for husband and me. Perfect closet/dresser space for week long stay. Absolutely beautiful view, especially from the hot bath on our balcony at night under a full moon all week! Warm, welcoming, friendly staff. Great staying in lodge as it rained several times during our stay, so it was nice that we were right at the center of action. Lots to do - biking, snorkeling, kayaking, fishing... Read more

We only stayed at Cheeca one night, I would have loved to stay longer. Our suite was spacious and we loved the decor, the bathroom was amazing and the very bed comfortable. We were in an outbuilding and I did not like the outside look of the outbuildings at all, nor the very narrow stairways, a big hassle to carry out large bags up two floor (no service was offered), cars parked left and right. I'm writing this review during our stay, 3 more days to go before we leave. Since we've been here the service has been awful. We arrived on 3rd August and had a meal in Limincello restaurant. The service was non existent, and the food left a bit to be desired. The tiki bar staff are woeful, apart from Carlos, he's very helpful. We stay at Cheeca twice a year and just returned from a three night weekend. I originally booked a two queen Lagoon View room. I love Cheeca but would not recommend staying in a connecting room. They are very noisy. You can even hear normal conversation going on. However, in usual Cheeca style, I called the front desk after our first night and Carlene wasted no time in moving us.
